From Here to Ecstasy
Chapter 37 - Coming & Going

Recap:

Micah grabbed the big guy as I teleported the man out of the danger zone. By the time I looked back, Micah and Autumn had bound the guy and taken his gun. I hoped they knew I wanted to keep their guns. I wanted the bullets tested after we took away the spell.

“Let go of me, bitch!” The big guy shouted as he struggled to getaway.

I felt my mom enter our bedroom. “What the fuck is going on here?”

Shit!

“Just a little murder and mayhem. The bruja wanted us dead, including Griffith. She wanted to weaken you through us. We got this, Mom,” I chirped as her eyes narrowed. Too bad they were narrowed at me.

Fucking lovely.

“Why is he separated from the big guy?” My mom questioned as she pointed at the little guy.

I knew she knew why. “Because he didn’t want to kill anyone. He knew it was wrong. And, he was willing to die for his beliefs,” I answered, knowing she was testing me. “This one is dirty through and through. He shot Autumn, well, you know what I mean,” I answered, cracking a smile.

“She’s lying, lady!” The big and dead guy yelled, well, not dead yet, but you get the drift.

“What the fuck is going on here?” Griffith yelled as he entered the room with Willow, his mate.

“Murder and Mayhem,” mom answered as I rolled my eyes and Griffith narrowed his eyes at me.

“What? I didn’t do anything but save us from being murdered in our sleep,” I sarcastically said as I crossed my arms over my chest.

“So, the big man tried shooting you and the little guy did what?” He asked me as I huffed.

I sighed. “Can’t everyone show up at the same time. Why do I have to repeat myself?”

“Ooh, I know this one,” the little guy answered in a sing-song voice. “It’s because they really want to know what’s going on.”

I looked at him incredulously. I shook my head at myself, snapping my mouth shut that I didn’t even know was gaping. “Okay,” I drew out the word. “He was trying to kill us.” I pointed at the big guy. “And the other guy didn’t want to kill us. He was willing to die to keep him from shooting us.” I laughed at the big guy. “Did you think you were going to get away by shooting a gun? I know you had a silencer, idiot, but you’re in a packhouse with a lot of wolves; wolves who can hear a pin drop.”

“Yay! He’s a lot stupider than I am,” the little guy, Brice, sang out, causing me to cover my mouth and cough instead of laughing.

“I challenge…” he trailed off looking between me and Autumn. “You,” he finished, pointing at me.

I rolled my eyes. He thought he could beat me because I was a girl. “Challenge accepted.”

“Well, that happened a lot sooner than I thought,” my mom huffed out as she walked out of our door, poking her head back inside. “Are you coming or not?”

“I was trying to,” Griffith muttered as we laughed. He looked up at us, his eyes wide. “Damn werewolf hearing.”

We walked out of the packhouse, calling a few of our warriors. We didn’t want to wake up the whole pack. Someone had to get some sleep and it looked as if it wouldn’t be us. As soon as some of the warriors walked up, Micah went over the rules, asking if there were any stipulations, of course, there weren’t any. The idiot didn’t even ask for the pack - not that he could have asked for it anyway. I'm not the Alpha, but I guess he thought I was. He was positive he was going to win.

“Fight!” Micah yelled as he ran out of the challenge circle.

I gestured for him to get on with his idea of killing me. He tilted his head at me. He took off running as I ran towards him. When he got close to me I dropped on my knees and he slid over the top of me, crying out in pain from where I grabbed his junk and twisted. I got up and rubbed my hand down my pants leg. I shuddered from touching him.

“Are you going to lay there and cry as if you were a little bitch? I should be the one crying from touching you. Gross, just gross.”

He got up quickly, roaring out his challenge as I rolled my eyes and smirked at him, making him mad. Just what I wanted. His movements would be jerky and uncoordinated from his anger. I was taught this trick before I was out of diapers.

He came running towards me again as I ran towards him. I wanted him to think I was going to go for the same trick from before, but I didn’t want to touch his junk ever again. When he got closer to me I jumped above his head, the air helping me to keep suspended above him. I quickly shifted my hand to that of my wolfs as I reached down and clawed his face. All ten fingers leaving deep rakes across his face. He roared, looking widely around. All he needed to do was look up, but he was too stupid to realize where I was. I hung upside down and raked his back - all ten claws scoring a hit.

“I didn’t know she could disappear,” the big guy cried, sounding as if he was two-years-old.

I clapped my hands twice, getting his attention. His eyes widened at me as his mouth tried to form words, his words getting lost as soon as he was going to ask a question.

“How are you still up in the air?” He asked, demanding an answer.

I opened my mouth to speak, but I was interrupted. “You fool, she’s a witch and a werewolf. Her element is probably air. Now, who looks like an idiot?” The little guy, Brice, answered as he clapped his hands.

I winked at him. “Yeah, what Brice said.”

Brice blushed and looked down after he looked at Micah. Micah didn’t huff at him or make him feel as if he were going to hurt him, but I knew he had a lot of orders running around in his brain.

I watched Autumn out of the corner of my eyes, knowing my wolf would let me know if the big guy came towards me. I noticed as Autumn and the little guy whispered. They were quiet and still. Autumn nodded at me as she walked back over to our mate - who was watching over her, making sure she was safe. They both turned their attention back to the challenge ring and smiled at me.

The big guy looked around him and took off running out of the challenge circle. I gave him a few seconds to see how far he could get from me. I teleported in front of him and hit him with everything in me, causing him to fall heavily to the ground, knocked out cold.

"Hot damn, Winter, that was sexy!" Micah yelled, to only flush beat red.

"Our mate thinks were sexy. Did you hear that, Winter? Our mate loves us and we need-" my wolf said, only to be cut off by me. She was something else. A hussy, a pervert, and a pain in my ass, but she was my confidant when I needed to talk to someone other than my family.
