From Here to Ecstasy
Chapter 75 - Twin Pain

Recap

“Belle?” I heard Windy ask. “Why can’t we just read your mind and get the information that way?”

Belle huffed and crossed her arms over her chest. “I understand why you would think reading my mind would help you and the King. But, if I get my mind read by one of the vampyres, witches, or anyone else I wouldn’t be a very good spy. So, my mind needs to stay blank. Understand? Good. How about we listen to me and replace out what to do?”

Sunny’s POV

Uh-oh, I knew what my sister was going to do without reading her mind. I grabbed Windy’s hands as she raised them to slap Belle and looked her, shaking my head. I knew she was pissed but we couldn’t go around hitting everyone that was rude to us and she needed to remember this.

You need to listen. Yes, she was rude but we need to know what’s going on, okay? We can’t let people get to us or we can’t do our job as Royals,” I explained as I turned back towards Belle and nodded my head for her to continue.

We went over everything so many times I was ready to scream. I could tell Windy was thinking of a way to get out of the room with Belle before she went all Hulk on Belles' ass.

"Can we take a test or something?" I heard Windy ask sweetly.

I heard Belle say something as she started writing something I was paying attention to. If I had to guess she was handwriting out test not knowing we had sponges for minds. Belle made it as if we were dumb as a box of rocks. I wasn't sure if I liked her or not.

I turned around and saw Windy getting ready to teleport to her room when she quietly said, 'oh, shit', and her eyes rolled back into her head. I teleported over to her and caught her before her head hit the floor, cradling her in my lap - all before my parents quit squabbling about the words Windy had said before she went down, not that they noticed. I could feel some of her pain and I wanted to take more from her, but it was as if I was hitting a block.

Twin Pain

I wasn't sure if I had heard the words or I remembered the words, but it didn't matter. I knew we couldn't take too much pain from the other without slowly killing ourselves. It was why we learned how to build a strong block. Our blocks were different from our twins. It had to be. Windy's was a tall and strong building, one no one would ever be able to pass. Mine was different. Mine was tall castle walls made of the strongest stone. I shook my head at my musings.

I couldn't believe my parents were still arguing. I needed to shut my parents up. I cleared my throat and saw them turn their heads toward where Windy and I sat. They finally quit arguing about who was at fault for our language and walked over as quickly as they could.

Finally.

I hated seeing any of my siblings in pain, but it hurt me, even more, when my twin was in pain. I could feel the shudders rack her body as she stiffened as if she was a plank of wood. It was worse when her back bowed. I was worried about her vision being so long. She had never had a vision that had lasted this long. My stomach was in knots. My heart was beating as if a herd of buffalo had taken up residence in my chest. I took a deep breath in and let it all the way out. I kept doing the same thing over and over until I had breathing and heart back into acceptable levels.

Windy gasped, sitting up quickly. She was breathing too fast, her heart was as bad, if not worse than mine was before she came out of the precog vision. “Hey, Windy, take a breath in. Slow and steady. Breathe in and out. Let go of the panic and think. You’re having a panic attack. Come on you can do it,” I cooed as she followed the pattern of my breaths. Her panic was starting to ease and I knew she had to get through the vision in order to voice the pieces she had seen.

I heard her say, “I need everyone to spell the room after we look for bugs, okay?”

We got up off the floor and started to look for any bugs, going as far as looking in the toilet and the toilet tank. There was nothing to see. I wondered if she was giving us busy work so she could get her vision in the order it needed to be in.

We all moved in a circle, holding hands to start the spell to soundproof the office even more. It didn’t take us long. Of course, we all looked at Windy wanting to hear what her preg vision was about.

Trace smiled and I heard him say, “Okay, Windy, the floors all yours.” I knew he was implying that she was already on the floor and all he was doing this to lighten the mood.

Windy opened and closed her mouth several times, looking as if she was a guppy and not a wolf. She cleared her throat a couple of times, not saying anything after. I figured she was trying to go over the vision in her head. I knew it was weird for her to be able to talk about her precog visions. We had never told anyone about them and now she could.

We?

I didn’t ask my grandmother if I could use mine too. I was too surprised about Windy’s transformation. It seemed as if she had gone through a bigger transformation than I had. But, she had always been more of a grown-up than me, so I shouldn’t have been that surprised. It’s just she reminds me of Autumn and Autumn scares the crap out of me.

"Give Windy time to process the vision for a while. She will let her family know what's going on before tomorrow, okay. And, Sonny, you can talk about your vision too. Why don't you take Windy down to the dining hall she has to be hungry after her shift and all," the Moon Goddess told all of us as we got up. I took Windy's hand in mine and walked her to the dining hall.

"Thanks for letting me know about the precognition visions, Grandma, I didn't want to mess up and talk about them. I'll make sure Windy's okay," I mind-linked.

"I know you will take care of your sister. You have always had your sisters back. I'm proud of the man you've become," my grandmother told me as she showed up in front of me.

"Wow, you didn't tear up shit this time," my dad, Blaine, joked.

His face paled to chalk-white when she narrowed her eyes at him. I was trying to keep a laugh in. My grandma looked at my dad and raised an eyebrow. "I've been practicing," she said haughtily.

I couldn't hold in my laughter anymore. I was holding my stomach with tears coming out of my eyes. My dads were always leery around the Moon Goddess, but I knew she favored them, something my dads didn't need to know.

"I love making your dads' sweat," she told me as I laughed even more.

I felt Windy tug my hand as she led us over to our family table. We sat to eat and talk as if nothing was wrong or different. We didn't want to let the pack know what was going on until tonight or tomorrow.

"Hey, Sonny, can I talk to you after we eat? I need help with something," Windy asked me through her wolf.

"Absolutely. You know I've always been there for you. You can tell me all of it or nothing at all. I'll tell mom and our dads that I wanted to talk to you before we left."

I spoke to my parents through our wolves. I let them know I wanted to talk to Windy before she spoke of the vision and she would tell us tonight. Of course, they wanted to know the reason she wanted to wait until tonight. I made sure to let them know she went over some of her visions with him and just wanted to get her thoughts in order. I reminded them of the fact this was the first time she's been allowed to talk about any of her precog visions. After a lot of whining from my mother she huffed and quit talking. I had a feeling she was pouting but as soon as I had the thought she scolded me, letting me know she didn't pout.

Right.
