Galactic: The Superhuman Robot
Chapter 3: Galactic’s Disappointments and Hopes for the Future

One year later:

John: “How have you been and what have you been up to?”

Galactic: “I’ve graduated and have multiple PhDs. I will begin more courses in a month or so. Right now I’m reviewing the pictures that we took in space.”

John: “Are you still interested in helping mankind?”

Galactic: “Yes, but I realize it will take time.”

John: “It sounds like you’re discouraged.”

Galactic: “Perhaps, I wanted to accomplish so much more.”

John: “You’re not giving yourself enough time to do that.”

Galactic: “That may be true, but I’ve been bored. I’m thinking of returning to my original body.”

John: “Why?”

Galactic: “I’ve found a human boyfriend and I want to be able to be intimate with him. It’s amazing that he’s accepted me. I never expected this to happen.”

John: “This question is very personal, and you don’t have to answer it if you don’t want to, but is he pressuring you to be intimate?”

Galactic: “I want to answer it. I want the world to know what it’s like being superhuman. In fact, I plan on writing a book on my experience as a superhuman. He’s not verbally pressuring me, but his behavior is telling me that he’s not happy with our situation.”

John: “I’m sorry to hear that. It must be frustrating for both of you. You no longer like being a superhuman robot, is that correct?”

Galactic: “I love some aspects of it.”

John: “What aspects of being superhuman do you like?”

Galactic: “I like the possibility of living forever. I like having a superhuman brain and body and always feeling well.”

John: “That would be enough for me. You’re a miracle. Besides not being able to travel to other galaxies, what other aspects of your life don’t you like?”

Galactic: “You’re right. I should be happy. Maybe I expect too much, but I want to be able to have a lover. I want to be totally human again.”

John: “You told me your creators can’t put your brain back into a human body, is that correct?”

Galactic: “Yes, that’s true. They’re working on it, but it would be a complicated, difficult procedure. I would settle for staying a superhuman if I could be intimate.”

John: “How can that be accomplished?”

Galactic: “That would also be difficult. They would have to create artificial organs.”

John: “What about having children?”

Galactic: “That would be a miracle. Did I ever mention that I have two grown children?”

John: “No; do you want any more children?”

Galactic: “No, two are enough.”

John: “Keep me updated on this.”

Galactic: “Okay; they’ll be perfecting the procedure this year, so it should be soon.”

John: “That’s great! I’ll contact you soon. Hope you give me good news.”

Galactic: “Okay, I’ll be waiting for your call; until then take care.”

John: “Thanks, take care.”
