Hello, Mr. Brent -
Chapter 290
"Mr. Brent, what should we do now?" Jason asked.
Franklin's face was expressionless and gloomy. Needless to say, he wasin a terrible mood.
After a while, he said in a deep voice, "Let's go first! Go replace my cousin.”Jason nodded and opened the door for Franklin immediately. AfterFranklin got in the car, he got in the car and drove towards thecompany.
Aaron didn't know anything about Franklin. He only knew that his newwife had been found, but his son came back and said that he had beenscolded by his little uncle. Aaron was still wondering why he wasscolded instead of being rewarded.
She was wondering if she should call and ask, but she didn't expectFranklin to come.
"Chairman, I was just about to call you.” Aaron rushed up with a smile.Franklin said faintly, "Why are you looking for me? I haven't thankedyou for what happened before.”
"As a family member, it's too polite to say thank you. There's nothingelse to do on the phone, just to hear that yunfei was scolded by you. This naughty child has always been unreliable in his work. I was soangry when I saw him. I don't know how he had pissed you off. I wasjust about to ask you. If it really made you angry, I would tie him up infront of you so that you could kick him again.”
Franklin's ears turned red at the thought of venting his anger onMatthew, and he said guiltily, "Nothing. Matthew has made goodprogress in the past two years. I'm not reprimanding him either. I'm justasking him to participate in more company matters instead of alwayshiding behind you. After all, the Brent Family in the future still needstheir support.”
Aaron's eyes widened in surprise and joy. He never expected Franklin tovalue his son so much that even the future of the Brent Familydepended on him.
So he quickly said excitedly, "Chairman, you think too highly of him. Heis one with many flaws. Such a compliment will make him arrogant. ButI'm still glad that you values him so much and will definitely cultivatehim in the future.”
Matthew rolled his eyes and thought to himself, dad! You're completelymistaken. I was too abashed to reply. It was an accident when I wasscolded! I was used as a punching bag.
But he didn't dare to say it in front of Franklin. He wasn't even afraid ofhis father, but he was only afraid of Franklin.
"Jason, you and Matthew go out first! Boss and I have something to talkabout." Franklin said.
Jason nodded. Matthew didn't want to stay here anymore andimmediately left with Jason.
When Aaron saw Franklin's solemn appearance, his heart skipped abeat and he quickly asked nervously, "Chairman, is there anythingimportant you want to talk to me?"
"How much do you know about Daniel?" Franklin asked.
"Daniel?" Aaron was stunned, not expecting him to mention Daniel.Although surprised, he still said truthfully, "The Williams Group was notin Irvine at first. It was only two years ago that they came here. However, our The Brent Group has no business relationship with them, and Daniel also wants to live in a secluded place and doesn't like socialengagements. I just met one or two parties in a hurry, not too familiar. As for the other things I know... I really don't know, but I do knowsomeone who is more or less related to the Williams Family and mayknow more."
"Tell me that person's name. I want to see him," Franklin said.
Aaron nodded quickly and hurried to replace the man's business card, buthe said to Franklin, "Why don't I make an appointment with him? I'llmake things clear to him first, so that he won't be in trouble if he triesto get away with it again.”
Franklin nodded and asked Aaron to deal with it first.
Aaron quickly picked up the phone and called the man. As soon as heanswered the phone, he smiled and said, "President Millers, hahaha, it'sme, it's Aaron. Yes, yes, it's been a long time since we sat downtogether. I wonder if president Millers has time, and if I have thehonor..."
Aaron chatted with Bryan Miller for a while before getting to the pointand telling him what he was looking for.
While chatting, Aaron frowned and kept saying, "Yes, I understand.”After hanging up the phone, he returned to his original position andsaid to Franklin, "Chairman, I've already contacted him. He's willing tocome over. But it's just a chat. He still doesn't dare to do anything toDaniel, and he can't afford to offend him."
“I know. I didn't ask him to do anything. I just wanted to knowsomething about Daniel,” Franklin said.
Aaron nodded and sighed with relief.
Whether it was Franklin or Bryan Miller, he didn't want to offend them.It would be better if the two of them just talked and saved him thetrouble of being a middleman.
"Jason, shall we have some coffee?" When Matthew and Jason cameout, they invited Jason.
Who knew that Jason was stubborn? He immediately shook his headand said, "Forget it. I have to wait for Mr. Brent here. If I leave, Mr. Brentwould be anxious looking for me."
"Gee, I don't know when the meeting will end. Besides, if he doesn't seeyou when he comes out, he will call you. What are you afraid of?"Matthew said indifferently.
Jason knew that he had nothing to say to a playboy young master likehim. He was afraid that his professional ethics and sense ofresponsibility would be nothing to him. So he stopped talking andcontinued to wait at the door.
Matthew did not expect that Jason would show little respect to him. Hecould not help but snort angrily. He wanted to leave alone but alsothought of his own thoughts. He gritted his teeth and glared at theignorant Jason, then went out to buy two cups of coffee.
"Here, this one is for you. If you don't want to go out, let's talk here.”Matthew came back soon, bringing not only two cups of coffee, butalso two chairs.
Jason looked at him doubtfully. He didn't seem to have such a deeprelationship with this young master!
Suddenly, he thought of something and said nervously, "Mr. Brent, areyou in trouble again? Let me tell you, I'm just a small assistant. I don'thave the ability to cover for you. If you have anything, you might aswell beg your father to plead with Mr. Brent. It's useless to look for me.”"Jason, you're overreacting. How do you know I'm in trouble? Can't Ijust buy you a cup of coffee?" Matthew said with embarrassment.Jason snorted and thought to himself. I don't know how many tricksyou have. You've been causing a lot of trouble since you were a child, every time getting someone else to deal with your mistakes. Now youact as there is a free lunch.
"Hehe, actually, there is one thing I really want to ask Jason for help."Matthew leaned over to Jason and smiled awkwardly.
