Hello, Mr. Brent
Chapter 304

Franklin frowned. He didn’t know where to replace Abigail as she leftwithout saying goodbye. However, he was not willing to stay andcontinue looking for her. He always felt that Daniel had set a trap forthem.

So he told Emily that he would ask Jason to stay and look for Abigail. They would come back when they found out where Abigail was.

Emily knew that he wanted to go back to Lancaster. She frowned andthought for a while, "Well! You'd better ask him to check the station.Maybe she has left Irvine."

"I see. Don't worry! Jason knows." Franklin said.

Franklin let Emily get into the car first, then he told Jason and the otherperson to stay. Franklin was ready to continue driving back.

Emily was depressed about Abigail's sudden departure. She sighed andreached out to touch Bryce's little face. Bryce slept with a blushed faceand looked very endearing.

However, Emily immediately felt something was wrong. She frownedand said to the driver, "Stop the car first."

The driver in front of her was stunned and immediately stopped the car.Franklin frowned and asked, "What's wrong?"

"Something's wrong with Bryce! He seems to have a fever.” Emily saidquickly.

Franklin immediately lowered his head and put his forehead on hisson's forehead when he heard Emily's words. Bryce's forehead wasreally hot and his face was blushed. It was not a normal blush at all.

"I think he really has a fever. How does he suddenly have a fever?” Nomatter how capable Franklin was, he had never taken care of a child. Hedidn't know what to do when facing this situation.

Emily immediately said anxiously, "It's common for children to get sick.Who knows why they have a fever? Hurry up and go to the hospitalfirst! Let him have a medical examination and then we can replace out whyBryce gets the fever.”

Franklin nodded and immediately told the driver to drive.

Emily immediately said, "We can't go back to Lancaster. Just go to thehospital here first."

Franklin sighed in his heart. Although he really wanted to leave Irvine,he shouldn't persevere in this situation. He had to ask the driver to turnaround and drive to the best hospital here.

Jason and the others were still there. When they saw the car, theyimmediately asked what happened.

Knowing that the Little Young Master had a fever, they branched outinto two groups. One group followed Franklin to the hospital, and theother went to replace Abigail.

Emily and Franklin carried the child to the emergency room of thehospital because Jason had called beforehand. The hospital's staffswere already ready to take care of Bryce before Franklin and the otherscame for it. Bryce was treated as soon as they went into the hospital. After a series of tests, it was confirmed that he had a viral cold andneeded hospitalization.

Fortunately, Bryce hadn't coughed yet, so he had only someinflammation of the bronchus, and it hadn't developed into pneumonia.Emily breathed a sigh of relief. Although Bryce had rarely been sicksince he was a child, he occasionally had this kind of illness once ortwice. She was also experienced and comforted Franklin, "It's okay. Hejust needs some intravenous drips. Then he will be okay."

"Why did he catch a viral cold? Did Daniel deliberately hurt him?"Franklin asked with a frown.

Emily immediately said, "No, he can't do that. It's normal for children toget sick in a different environment. Don't worry.”

Franklin nodded, knowing that he was narrow-minded just now.

But looking at his son who was lying on the bed and having anintravenous drip, he felt his son very pitiful and he was heartbroken.

He walked over and held his son in his arms for a while, then loweredhis head and kissed his son's little face. If Emily hadn't pulled him away,he wouldn't bear to leave for a moment.

"Stay away from him. Otherwise, you will get infected,” Emily said.Franklin said, "I'm not afraid. As long as he gets better, I don't care.”"But I do care. If you get sick, my heart will ache even more.” Emily said.Franklin was stunned and couldn't help but look at her with a smile inhis eyes.

Seeing Franklin's smile, Emily blushed. She quickly pouted andexplained, "It's true. You're my husband. There's a saying that your childwill grow up sooner or later, but your husband is the one who willspend the rest of his life with you."

"Yes. So, don't worry, baby! I won't be sick." Franklin stepped forwardand held Emily in his arms. He actually called her that disgusting nameagain.

Emily got goosebumps as she was called by him like this. She blushedand said, "Don't call me that. It sounds weird."

"Why do you feel that it is weird? I don't care about that. But you careabout that? You're my baby. You're my big baby. Bryce is my little baby. You're all my most important families.” Franklin said words of love moreand more smoothly, and he couldn't stop at all.

But even if he didn't feel embarrassed, Emily was too embarrassed tolisten.

Blushing, she pushed him away and said, Stop. I'll go out and buysomething for Bryce. When he wakes up, he'll make a noise. He needssomething delicious and fun.”

"Don't go. I'll ask the bodyguard to buy." Franklin held her wristreluctantly.

Emily said, "They don't know what to buy. It's better if I go out.”

"Then I'll have someone go with you." Franklin was worried that shewould be in danger, so he still ordered someone to follow her.

Of course, it wasn't that Franklin didn't want to go with her, but that hecouldn't rest assured to let his son be alone in the ward. Although therewere bodyguards at the door and doctors and nurses in the hospital, hewas swayed by considerations of gain and loss as he had lost his sononce.

Emily and two bodyguards went out. There was a large supermarketopposite the hospital.

Emily went in and bought some of Bryce's favorite snacks. She didn'tdare to buy dry snacks for fear that Bryce would get inflammation. Thenshe bought a Transformers. Although the quality of the Transformerswas not very good, Bryce still liked playing with it.

When she returned to the hospital, she was about to go to thechildren's inpatient department. Unexpectedly, she met anacquaintance as she walked to the corridor.

Iris looked at Emily and frowned, "Why are you here? Are you comingto look in on Andrew?"

Emily was stunned and said awkwardly, "I didn't know that Andrew ishere. Of course, I am not here to look in on him. My son is sick and isalso in this hospital.”

Iris sneered, "No wonder. I am wondering why you suddenly think ofcoming to look in on Andrew. If he knew, he would definitely beextremely happy. But it's a pity! Even if he died of illness, you wouldn'tcome to see him for once. But he still misses you so much and can't seeanyone else in his eyes."

"Thank you for what happened last time.” Emily thanked her again.

Iris immediately said, "Don't keep thanking me. Andrew suspected mewhen he woke up. He had taught me a good lesson. If you thank meagain and let him know that I did it, then I will die without a burialplace.”

Emily frowned. She looked at Iris and asked, "Have you ever thought ofleaving him?"

She didn't care about Iris before as she thought that Iris was notbiologically connected to her. However, after what happened before, she was willing to help Iris. She knew that Anthony and Brandon werecousins, so she still had some kind of kindred with Iris.
