Her Forever
Chapter 15

Seth

After carrying my scared mate back to the house, my wolf couldn’t be more elated. She had no problems jumping into my arms when she was terrified. Whether it was intentional, I’ll take all the touch from her I could get.

Even in the moment of her being alarmed, I knew she felt the soft tingles in our skin as we touched. When her forehead touched my neck as she tried to hide from the “sister snake,” it was absolutely charming. I wanted to have her curl up in my lap and let her trace every damn tattoo on my chest that she seemed so fascinated with. I saw her eyes, eyes of wonder of wolves, moons, tribal signs. She was checking me out.

Caspian puffed out his chest in my mind. He was damn proud we were making our mate happy. The body we had worked on for so long to keep our strength. It was not to protect her, not because she was weak, but because she was important.

Sadie was really innocent; her blush was contagious and made me want to blush right back the way she traced my tattoos with her fingers once we were back at the house. My bar bells that hung from my n*s didn’t seem to bother her either. With some women, it was a turnoff, but to her, it wasn’t.

Saying goodbye to her and letting Rebecca know I had some business to take care of, Sadie went to her room. My sister was my angel, and now that I finally had my own goddess to calm my beast, my mood was light, considering what I was about to do.

Sadie shut the door, and Ethan and Marco immediately took in my face and knew I meant business.

“Get the Gamma and meet me in my room.” I huffed. I couldn’t even say the traitor’s name. Nathan was my friend. We have spent many years together, and he has been holding onto the title of future Gamma once my father released his Alpha title for me to inherit. However, his title and his life are on the line.

When I held Sadie in my arms, I knew what he did. The bastard had been putting his scent on her to ward off any potential males that wanted to claim her. Her body can change into a werewolf once mated, and that is rare to replace in humans. Instead of waiting for his own mate, he was going to steal another.

It is also said that if a human has this trait; they will meet a werewolf, and the Moon Goddess, Selene, has claimed her. It’s common knowledge that all werewolves are taught as rare as it is.

With Nathan’s smell on her, to which I do not know how long he has been putting it on her, she was covered in his stench. I couldn’t wait to hold her in my arms tonight and release my own on her. She is my mate, MINE. I should have been able to smell her a mile away because of my alpha abilities, but I only smelled her once I reached the lake house.

The whole misunderstanding of me yelling at my precious mate a week ago and causing her pain could have been avoided if he didn’t mess with the Moon Goddess’ plans. I’m angry, hurt, and livid. My wolf wanted b***d, and sure as hell, I did too.

What would he have done if he had marked her? Claimed her as his own? The thought makes me growl loudly, causing the dance floor to disperse while I head up to the third-floor master suite.

Nathan was already there; he knew he was in deep s**t. Nathan was aware of my torture tactics. I had taught him myself.

He was already on his knees; no one had to tell him to lower himself in front of the Alpha that he committed a crime against. He was ready to die for his crimes. The worst part was, I think I’m going to give it to him. The real question was if he should suffer.

Not hesitating, I barged into the room and, with one swift motion, slammed my fist into his face. Luckily for him, since he is a destined Gamma, he heals quickly. He will still feel the pain but heal enough so I can ram my fist to this little s**t’s head.

B***d pooling at his mouth, his nose slightly crooked, and his eyes filled with bloody tears. I pulled him up by his collar and threw him into the wooden chair. My Beta Marco and Delta Ethan flanked both sides with their arms crossed. They were also disappointed in their friend. At least I have a few loyal pack members.

“Talk,” I growled. Nathan knew what I wanted. The whole f*g story. The sorry excuse for a Gamma knew that if he left anything out, I would torture him slowly. He’s seen me do it countless times, and I wouldn’t even bat an eye at doing it again.

“When I first saw her…” he choked. “I knew she was different.” My anger was rolling off in waves into the room, and even Marco and Ethan were feeling it. “Her smell, the way she carried herself, her innocence…” he trailed off.

I growled loudly as he spoke of her innocence. “SHE IS f*g MINE!” I roared. He shuttered at my alpha tone but he continued.

“She was different; she loved the small things. I wanted her to myself. I couldn’t imagine any other woman being better than she, and I wanted the best. If I had known…” he tried to finish, but I finished for him.

“Had you had known she was mine, would you have faltered?” My knuckles turned white against the pressure of my hands.

“Yes.” He breathed haggardly.

“That is hard to believe; in fact, I think you are lying. You wanted to mark her sooner than you originally wanted.” Walking around him in a circle, like he was my prey, ready to pounce, I continued. Shrinking down to his shivering form, I whispered in his ear, “because you released your scent to cover her own as soon as you heard me coming from the car.”

Nathan’s eyes grew wide while the others stood in shock. Neither of them knew just how high my alpha senses could go, but now the little fucker knew.

I was done playing with him; I felt betrayed. I was hurt by the possibility I would have never found her in time, losing a friend, a Gamma. We had been through so much together, and he did this behind my back. To take what was MINE.

I took the right side of his arm, and with a swift pull, I dislocated his arm from his shoulder. His cries were becoming too loud, so I gagged him with his own bloodied shirt I ripped off his body.

Not wanting to make more of a bloody mess, I broke every bone that I could. Starting with his other shoulder and slowly breaking his upper arm, lower arm, fingers, his upper and lower parts of his legs.

Tears brimmed his red eyes, something I’ve never seen much before this day. He must have cared about my mate, my Sadie. This only angered Caspian as he came forward.

Giving him what he wanted, I let him come forward. Caspian knew that we weren’t in a basement, and if Sadie somehow found b***d anywhere, it would frighten her. Caspian, for once, was restraining himself, something I knew Sadie was helping with even though she didn’t realize.

“My mate, MINE.” He growled as he bit his canines into Nathan’s shoulder. Nathan’s cries were muffled with the bloodied rag.

“Never touch what is MINE. You are lucky she considers you a friend. We still may kill you!” Caspian bared his teeth right next to Nathan’s throat. I could feel Caspian lick the b***d from Nathan’s shoulder on our human tongue. Tasting the b***d of his enemies was a symbol on the battlefield. He wanted their b***d in our system to be a reminder of the traitors’ way to go against a king. This time, he went against his alpha.

Caspian retreated back into my mind, and I came back to the surface. The taste of metallic still lingered on my teeth. I backed away slowly.

“Get him cleaned up; I don’t want him disturbing the party.” I turned to head to the bathroom and gripped the handle. “Take him back to the Pinecreek Pack house. Put him in the cells with the silver bindings around his ankles and wrists. I’ll deal with him later. And get someone in here to clean this s**t up.”

“Yes, Alpha.” Marco and Ethan replied. With heavy hearts, they did what they were told. Nathan had done this to himself. He tried to hide the one thing I have ever wanted, the one blessing of being a werewolf, my mate, my love. We had talked many times when we were young. How replaceing our mates was the most important thing. He was there when I became depressed and started sleeping with she-wolves, believing I wasn’t good enough.

Nathan soon followed suit, and we became the players of the pack house for 10 years. I finally stopped when I realized the emptiness wouldn’t go away, no matter how many wolves I bedded. Nathan just never got over it. He doesn’t think he will replace his mate. He may never will. Nathan might be dead by the time this is all over with.

Throwing your scent on someone else’s mate was highly offensive, and if it was to be done, the one accepting the scent had to consent. Obviously, Sadie didn’t consent because she does not know this world. Running my hand through my hair roughly as I showered. I can’t scent her, not unless I tell her otherwise I would be as bad as Nathan.

I hit my hand hard on the tile, causing it to crack. “Damnit.”

Once showered, we all headed downstairs, hearing the bass throughout the large living room. Nathan was escorted out of the house with my Delta and Beta as I went to replace my mate. My mate,… I growled low in my chest. It sounded so good to me even if I thought about it.

I saw my mate taking a few shots from Rebecca in the corner, trying to calm Sadie’s nerves. Her nervousness was radiating off her. If Rebecca said anything to make her worried, I don’t care if she is my sister. I’ll kill her. I think I would need a few drinks to calm down, but walking closer to her; my wolf was instantly becoming calm.

Caspian is a bipolar son of a bitch.

I knew Sadie was feeling things she was unsure of. A mate’s bond was special and very intense. She’s never fallen in love, been in a relationship, or kissed someone. I’m just glad Rebecca shared this with me through the mind-link a few minutes before we headed down.

Taking it as slow as my wolf will allow will be tough, but I would do anything for her. I will k**s the ground she walks on.

After taking a few bites of her sandwich, she looked up at me coming across the dance floor. She had a pink dress that I know she was uncomfortable in; her small little body was cowering in the corner. Her hair was cascading down her back with curls at the end.

She looked perfect.

Sadie quickly turned around, probably spitting out her sandwich in embarrassment since I caught her munching away. Her back was towards me, so I decided to gently take the back of my rough hand and follow the back of her arm. She shivered, knowing she was feeling the tingles in her arm. Sadie turned around, and seeing her face up close was like looking at the goddess herself.

Breathtaking.

After apologizing and asking for a dance I should have given her a week ago, I led her to the dance floor. Everyone parted ways for us to join in a slow song. Everyone was staring, but lucky for me, my mate only had eyes for me.

There had been rumors I would never have a mate because of my rough nature, that the Moon Goddess couldn’t give me someone to even out my dark soul. I was heartless, a warrior, but I was dedicated to our species and to the King and Queen of Bergarian, kingdom of the werewolves.

Even though my father still held the title, I did most of the work. Only he and the king still had the command to control me still, somewhat.

The only reason I haven’t been given the title was because of my wolf and my temperament. Hoping that I would replace my mate one day and even out my soul so I could rule the Royal Warrior Pack not just with violence but with grace.

I could feel her looking at me, trying to memorize my face. I saw her look at my eyes, my lips, and I could even feel her hands that could not even reach around my neck brush my chest. My wolf kept purring, and I’m sure she could feel the vibration in my chest.

When she would notice I was looking at her, she would blush and turn away, only to replace me grinning like a f*g idiot.

I could hear the whispers around the dance floor, mentioning they have never seen me smile. Many were smiling, happy that the protector of their homes was finally replaceing his happiness, or maybe it was a relief that I wouldn’t be the most terrorizing monster they know?

Either way, I didn’t care because I finally found the only person who really mattered anymore.

It looks like I found my love, my soul, my grace.
