Her Forever
Chapter 37

Seth

After Sadie had woken up, I carried her into the bathroom. She was so small and fragile, yet she still had her beautiful smile grace her face. She leaned into my shoulder as I set her down on the toilet. I wasn’t about to leave her, I just got her back, and I would be damned if something broke through a window and try to take her.

Sadie sat there, staring at me like I grew two heads.

“I need some privacy!” She spoke with certainty. “No, I said you would never leave my sight.” I crossed my arms to challenge her. Sadie didn’t move, so I sighed and left her to her business. She’s going to drive me crazy some days with her stubbornness.

I heard the shower start to run, and I immediately pushed open the door. Sadie looked at me hesitantly and pointed to the shower. “I’m just going to shower; I’ll be alright,” she whispered. I was not having any of that. “You could slip and fall, and I’ll shower with you.” By the time I had stripped down to my boxers, Sadie had silent tears streaming down her face.

“Sadie, what’s wrong? Are you hurt?” I rushed to her and held her close to my body. She was so warm, so vulnerable. I didn’t think of all the trauma she must have gone through from that evil bastard. “I, I think I just need to be alone, Seth.” I looked at her while tears were now pouring from her eyes. I don’t know what was worse, seeing b***d or these pure crystal tears of emotional turmoil. I didn’t want to leave her like this, and I would not leave her.

“Please talk to me, baby. Tell me what’s wrong.” I rubbed my hands up and down her back as she stood there with her arms wrapped around my torso. If I had a shirt on, I’m sure she would fist it for dear life. With one enormous sigh, she finally spoke.

“H-he hurt me, Seth,” she whispered. “I don’t know if I should tell you. I don’t want you to get angry and leave, I’m scared you will leave me.” Shock pulsed through my veins. How dare she think I would leave her in a state like this? I would never in a thousand years leave her to cry and be upset without me. I’m her mate, and I’m supposed to take care of her. I pulled her out of the embrace and held her head in my hands while I bent down nose to nose with her.

“I will never leave you, Sadie. Not in a million years. No matter what happened or what he did. I can be angry about it, but I will never leave. Not one second. I will protect you forever. You are my forever, do you understand?” Sadie nodded, and I grabbed her and pulled her into my chest. The bastard was going to pay. When I finally replace him, I will make sure he faces something worse than death.

I turned the shower off and picked her up, and carried her back to the bed. Gently touching the bed, I laid her down and put her on top of my chest, and had her head come under my neck. Petting her hair gently, I waited until her crying slowed down. Once her body stopped shaking and her tears had left, I placed a quick k**s on her forehead.

“Now, baby, tell me what happened. Why are you so upset? I know there are bruises; it is because you fought, baby. You fought for you and for us. I’m so very proud of you.” I held her tighter in my arms, but not enough to cause pain to her worn-out body.

Sadie sat up and straddled me and looked down at me. “I just feel so dirty.” Sadie held her arms close to her body. “I feel so violated. I wasn’t raped, I wasn’t touched down… there. But I feel so dirty. I didn’t want him touching me, kissing me, and…” she trailed off and started crying again. I quickly sat up and hugged her.

As much rage and anger that Caspian and I felt, we knew that right now, Sadie needed us the most. She was hurt, and I was going to do everything I could to make her feel better. “I’m sorry you feel so dirty. I’m sorry you had to go through that.” I touched her cheek from the bruise that I am guessing was from a slap across her perfect face. “You are not dirty, Sadie. You are perfect, and I will let you know that every day for the rest of your life.” Sadie gave a small smile while a tear dropped on her cheek.

I gently kissed a few more tears from her face. She didn’t deserve this. She was so pure, so innocent, and so loving to all those around her, and she had to deal with some s**t head. How is that fair to her?

“Let’s get you cleaned up,” I whispered. Who knew the big bad alpha would speak so softly and lovingly? I chuckled at the thought. “I’ll put you in the bath, alright, and you haven’t eaten yet. I don’t want you to stand up for too long, alright?” She nodded her head yes, and I took her back to the bathroom.

Sadie undressed and quickly put a towel on so I couldn’t see her body; little did she know I would not leave. I put my hand out to guide her to the tub. “Don’t be ashamed. I’m just here to help, OK? I’ll turn around, and you can get under the bubbles.” Sadie did what she was told and let me know when she was sitting in the tub.

“I’m ready,” I whispered. Seth knelt down beside me and grabbed a washcloth. He saw the bruises on my wrists and upper body near my chest. He made sure not to stare at anybody part I was uncomfortable with. The bubbles made it difficult anyway, but it was still a sweet gesture. He took the cloth and gently soothed up my arms and around my back.

Seth was so gentle, taking extra care around my neck where my wound was still slightly healing. He asked for me to lift my leg out of the tub, and he gently massaged my feet from the side of the tub. I started giggling when he tickled my feet. Seth made me forget all those terrible memories from just a few days ago. He made me feel loved, protected, and I felt he loved me unconditionally.

The bubbles faded within the tub, showing my torso, which was what I was afraid of in the beginning, but now that fear had faded away. Seth took the cloth and only washed my stomach. His hands came up to my face, and he leaned in and gave me a long soft k**s on my mouth before grabbing a towel to help dry me. Wrapping around the yellow, fluffy towel around me, he picked me up gently and sat me on the counter.

Treating me like a baby, he brushed my teeth and hair and smiled when I blushed while he actually put lotion all over my body. I can’t believe that this man is the biggest and scariest Alpha from his home. I mean, he is huge, and he is all mine. He treats me like his queen, and I hope I can always treat him like the king he is. He really is too perfect for words.

Seth again carried me to the bed and pulled out my clothes, and helped me get dressed. I could hear the loudest growl from my stomach, and I instantly blush in embarrassment. “No need to be embarrassed, Love. Let’s get you something to eat and a lot of it.” I laughed and held up my hands for him to carry me. I was starting to quite enjoy him carrying me. “So you like to be carried now?” He laughed.

“Yes, I do,” I paused, “daddy.” I laughed uncontrollably because I could not play sexy if I even wanted to. A loud growl came over the room that made me whimper. “Baby, don’t start that now. I don’t think Caspian could control himself,” he said lustfully. With a quick k**s on the cheek, he took me downstairs to help me fill my empty stomach.

After breakfast, a lot of Seth’s warriors and the Pinecreek Pack came to say hello while Seth and I sat in the living room. Everyone was so happy that I was back and unharmed. Thankfully, there were no casualties, and no one died during the attack. I was ever grateful for that. I don’t know what I would have felt if someone had died because of me.

Lela and Rebecca had not left my side the entire morning, often telling me I could never leave the pack house or be alone ever again. They had volunteered to watch me while I slept, if Seth ever had to go do pack business. I declined, though, that would just be utterly creepy.

As Rebecca went to the kitchen to grab me some more water, my little man came back to pay a visit. “Luna! Luna!” Max yelled from across the foyer. Max took a flying leap and landed right on the seat beside me. This was the fastest I had ever seen him run! “Max! Be careful in the house!” I laughed while Seth had his arm protectively around my shoulders. “You ran so fast! Have you been practicing?”

“Yes, Luna! Ever since you got taken away because of me, I’ve been working very hard!” Max said solemnly.

“Max, they would have found me, no matter what. It was never your fault.” I gently scolded him while I scooped him up into my arms. “Never say that, alright? It isn’t your fault.” I gave him a quick k**s on the cheek. Seth growled, but I gave him a quick glance and smile.

“All the pups say it was my fault, though, and I think they are right.” Max looked down at his hands to play with his fingers.

“I will make Alpha Adrien make a statement that it was not your fault, alright. You protected me and kept me away for as long as possible. Did you know that? They could have gotten into the safe spot and put all of you and the pups in danger!” I said confidently, while wiping a stray tear from his face.

“Really?”

“Really, really, Max.” I gave him a quick hug, and his parents picked him up, thanking me for making their son feel better. I had a feeling Max would not let this go yet. I would give him all the reassurance he needed until he no longer felt guilty. I waved goodbye and nuzzled into Seth’s chest. He felt so comfortable I think I could curl up and go to sleep right then. Before I dozed off, I sat up straight, looking into Seth’s electric blue eyes.

“What about the ministry? Can they help? Did they leave already?” I asked Seth.

“They couldn’t do anything, Love, those memories are gone. Maybe we can uncover some of your mystery in time, though.” He pets my hair and puts my head back down onto his chest. Seth began talking with his warriors, trying to replace the time for them to head back to their own pack. Seth had been rotating warriors for the past two weeks so they could go back to their mates and families. Once I had gathered enough strength, Seth said we could talk about what our future holds. Right now, he said he wanted to live in the moment and enjoy each other’s company before we did anything else too drastic.

As I was about to speak about King Drago and the crazy assumptions he had about me being a princess, my eyes became heavy as he hummed some lullaby and gently rocked me side to side until I had fallen to asleep.
