Hiding With Her Twin Babies -
Chapter 66
The twins are excited. They could not do everything on their own, but they got help from their grandmother Jen. But it does not matter how often she asks them to tell her the babies’ genders. The trio’s lips refuse. They only told their best friend Tammy, who was also helping them with the party. Jack and Jayden made the targets themselves and are very proud of themselves. The paintball guns are ready. One has a blue paintball inside and the other a pink. The twins have already picked names for the babies but will tell their parents later-Delaney and Dante. There are way too many Jennifers in the family, and everyone will later get confused by all the Jennifers, Jennies and Jens. Besides, the little family all have names that start with a J. Only their father’s name begins with a D, so they feel it is fair to give the babies names that begin with D.
Jack and Jayden are still a little angry with Jayda for tricking them into believing they have two sisters on the way. Jayda laughs it off, and Tammy thinks it is hilarious when Jayda tells her. It is Saturday morning, and the children are so excited that they can not wait until the party starts. Jennie is glad she gave the children the opportunity to organise the party as she can see the trio feels part of the pregnancy. They are so excited about the babies being born that even Jayden has excepted that babies will be in the house. Jennie smiles as she watches her children eat breakfast, and they can not stop talking about the party they planned. Jennie hopes they do not go overboard, but she will not say anything. Instead, Jennie will praise them for a job well done. Tammie slept over as she wanted to help with the final touches. Dante and Jennie are not allowed to go outside until everything the party starts. Jennie secretly speaks to the chefs, and they assure her the party will be something to remember, but more than that, they can not get out of the chefs as Jayden told them they would swim with the fishes if they let anything out.
The chefs look at each other, not sure if they have to listen to Jayden about the nappy cakes. It will not look very appetising. Maybe they should ask Jayda first, but Jayden is the future heir of the Casella family, so they better listen to him. Finally, the cake arrives, and it looks cute. There are two babies on top. The rest of the cake has blue and pink question marks on the sides, and at the bottom, it has pink and blue angels.
“The cake looks better than this nappy little cakes will look,” The one chef sighs. Jayden, Tammy, Jayda, and Jack come walking into the kitchen. Jayda looks in horror at the nappy cakes.
“What is this? Yuck, no one will eat this! It looks disgusting! It looks like poop nappies!” Jayda says, and Jayden laughs. He likes it and thinks it will be fun to look at the grow-ups faces when they see them.
“Come on, Jayda. It will be fun to see Mom and Dad’s faces when they see it,” Jayden says. Jack also looks amused as he sees the little nappy cakes. He thinks it is funny.
“No way! We will not have poop nappies on the tables,” Jayda says, and Tammy nods.
“You two stay out of the kitchen!” Tammy says.
“But it will be fun,” Jack says.
“No, it will not! This party must be perfect, and you two want to ruin it,” Jayda says.
“Stop making that silly cakes and rather make some snacks people can eat without getting nauseous,” Jayda orders the chefs, and the chefs sigh in relief.
“You are no fun,” Jayden says and walks out. He has taken the cakes that the cooks already made, and he and Jack are eating them. Even though it looks like poop nappies, they taste good. The poop is only chocolate. Jayden can not understand the fuzz Jayda made. Jayda is glad she went to check on the chefs, or she would have been embarrassed. Her brothers have no taste. She looks at the rest of the chefs’ food, happy.
The cake looks lovely, and the cupcakes that just arrived look very cute. Half of them are pink, and the other half is blue, and they have tiny question marks on top of them. Jayda and Tammy take over the food leaving the decoration part of the party to the boys. She warned them if there was anything with poop nappies on it, she would tear it down! Jack and Jayden are outside, and Dante’s men are helping them put up the decorations. They turn the garden into a wonderland where baby stuff is all over. Giant pacifiers, baby bottles and a voting station where everyone can vote what they think it is. There is a pink bottle for two girls, a blue bottle for two boys and a bottle with pink on the one side and blue on the other side if they think it is a boy or a girl.
They put up the two targets and put the paintball guns ready for when their parents have to shoot at the targets and reveal the genders. They gave their mother the blue ball and their father the pink ball. They have put blue and pink balloons everywhere, and soon everything is set up for the big day. Jen and Logan arrive early to ensure the children do not mess up anything but are pleasantly surprised about how good things look. Jen goes to the kitchen and sees that everything looks tasteful and pleasant. She feels proud of the trio and Tammy. She did help here and there as Jennie asked her to keep an eye on the children to make sure they did not go overboard. Jen calls the children all together.
“I am so pleased with you,” Jen says. Jayden and Jack are eating the nappie cakes still and hold one out to Jen.
“Oh, wow, are you serving those?” She asks.
“Nope, I stopped them! They were planning on serving it!” Jayda says.
“Good girl! Wow, that would have ruined everyone’s appetite. Go give your father and grandfather some,” Jen laughs. The two boys walk to their father’s office and give them some of the forbidden cookies. Dante and Logan laugh, but they each try one.
“It is not bad tasting, but I bet your grandma will have a fit if you put that on the tables,” Logan says.
“Yeah, they forbid these cakes,” Jayden says with a sigh.
“Good thing they did,” Dante laughs. He knows Jennie would have been upset, and he does not want to see her upset as she is pregnant, and he is trying to protect her from getting upset too much.
“Dad, seriously! It would have been so much fun seeing everyone’s face when they saw these cakes,” Jayden says. Logan and Dante can only laugh and shake their heads. Jayden is a lot like them. He likes to tease.
Everything is ready when the guests arrive. Gabby and Riccardo and Loraine, and Boris flew to the states to attend the gender reveal party. The garden looks fantastic, and the boys are very proud of themselves as they can see the guests are looking at the garden. It looks like something from a children’s book, charming for a gender reveal party. Everyone enjoys the party, and nothing has gone wrong so far. The cake is beautiful, the food tastes and looks fantastic.
Soon it is time for Jennie and Logan to take the paintball guns and aim them at the blank white targets. The idea is that when they hit the target, the colour will paint the target either blue or pink. As Jennie and Dante pick up the guns and aim them at the target, everyone waits. The targets are pointed away from the crowd, but it is windy, and Enzo and Bernardo get up to keep the targets from falling over. They will shoot on the count of three as the trio says, three Dante and Jen shoot. Jack and Jayden’s targets are not strong enough, though, and the paintballs go right through the targets hitting poor Bernardo on his chest and Enzo on his shoulder.
“Ouch,” Enzo shouts and jumps away. His shirt is covered in pink. Bernardo also jumps away to his left, and, with that hit, the table and the drinks spill over onto everyone. His shirt is blue. The trio and Tammy look on in horror as the cake is about to fall over on the table. Luckily one of the waitresses noticed it and saved the cake just in time.
“Oops,” Jayden says as he knows how hard a paintball can shoot.
“Well, at least we know it is a boy and a girl,” Jen says dryly, trying not to laugh at her son and son-in-law.
“We are now even about the tuxedo thing, Jayden and Jack,” Bernardo says. It burns where the paintball hits him.
“Sure, sorry, Uncle Bernardo and Uncle Enzo. We were sure the targets were strong enough. Maybe we should have tested them first,” Jayden says. Jayda is glaring at them as they spoil her party. She is mad as hell.
“Yeah, you should have tested it first! Now, Uncle Enzo is pink, and Uncle Bernardo is blue! It is all your fault!” Jayda says.
“We said we are sorry,” Jack says, looking at his uncles covered in pink and blue paint. Then, he can not help but start laughing. As soon as Jack laughs, the rest of the guest starts laughing as the two Uncles looks very funny, covered in pink and blue. Even Enzo and Bernardo can not help laughing when they look at each other.
“Looks like we were the targets,” Enzo says, laughing. Tammy thinks Enzo looks funny.
“Next time, we have to build stronger Targets,” Jayda says.
“There will be no next time! Five children are enough!” Jennie says. Dante nods in agreement.
“Ah, we thought one or two more would not be that bad,” Mabel says.
“Why don’t you start having children then. You and Bernardo are still young and can have seven children,” Jennie replies.
“I think we will stick to one,” Mabel says, looking at the trio. Angy and Andrei smile.
“What are you two smiling about? You better start making babies! I love having a lot of grandchildren,” Jen says. Taylor is sleeping through all the commotion on Jen’s lap.
The trio and Tammy are glad no one got seriously hurt, but Jayden is upset that he does not have a hold on Bernardo anymore! Damn, targets, he should have tested them! Most of the guests are covered in their drinks, and they all decide to go for a swim. The rest of the day went uneventful, and everyone enjoyed the day to the fullest. Enzo and Bernardo are okay. They are playing with the children in the pool. Jen looks at the happy families and how well her children and their spouses get along. She has a soft spot for Jennie when she sees Dante holding her. Dante is laughing and smiling. He is not so serious all the time anymore.
“Our children are all happy. I love how they get along, angel,” Logan says beside Jen. He hugs her closer to him and looks down on the sleeping Taylor.
“I was thinking the same thing. Dante has changed so much since Jennie, and the children got into his life, babe,” Jen says.
“Yes, he is happy for the first time in his life, thanks to Jennie and the trio,” Logan says. However, he is still very much in love with his wife. He remembers how unhappy he was until he met Jen.
“I am glad I tricked you into being my fiance years ago,” Logan says.
“Well, I am happy you did that,” Jen says, and they hug each other. Logan k****s Jen.
“Eww,” Everyone shouts, and Jen laughs at them. She knows her children and grandchildren are teasing them, but she also knows that the children and grandchildren love them unconditionally. She hopes her and Logan’s love will always be an example for her children and grandchildren.
“Grandma’s and grandpa’s are not allowed to k**s. You are too old for that! You are supposed to k**s all the babies in the family, not our bigger children! So remember that in the future,” Jayden says.
“I like it when grandma and grandpa hug and k**s me on the cheek, so speak for yourself,” Jayda says. Jen and Logan smile as they look at Jayda, Jayden, Jack, Tammy and Taylor. They know the children like them kissing them goodnight on the cheek and hugging them when they tuck them in when they sleep over at grandma and grandpa’s house.
