Chapter 382: The Future Is Promising

Chapter 382: The Future Is Promising

Hearing this, Brandon raised his eyes to look at Zane's face, then put the coffee cup on the table, "You can't say that. You think you have nothing to do with Nealon. You have no connection. But what Nealon said in jail, you don't know, and I don't know either."

Having said that, Brandon paused for a moment and then went on, "The people and things involved are a bit troublesome. Nealon has been on the run for so many years, and now he is caught. Those who were in charge before were removed from their position. It's like a reshuffle. Newcomers always have to put a little pressure on people at all levels. Unfortunately, we have to bear the brunt." After hearing Brandon's words, Zane did not immediately speak.

Zane was naturally clear about what Brandon was saying.

The two were silent for a while, and it was Brandon who spoke first, "I won't just finish this project hastily. I'm going to follow the previous plan. At worst, I'll get to someone from a higher level." Zane looked at Brandon. "Do you have a plan?"

Brandon didn't make his words too absolute. "You have to try."

"If you need help, you can just ask. After all, I was involved in this project at the time, and I'm half responsible for it."

Brandon waved his hand. "Even if you didn't get involved in this, no matter who I was with, there would still be problems in the end."

Zane frowned. "Anyway, just ask if you need anything."

Brandon nodded. "That's for sure, you are an investor, and you will be the first to be informed if anything comes up."

The two chatted for a while about the Viteto project, and the time passed quickly.

Brandon raised his hand and glanced at the time. "I'm also here to ask for your help."

Zane hummed. "Tell me."

"You know Mr. Hughes, from Gotrend Entertainment, right?"

Zane looked at Brandon and asked, "You mean Haider?"

Brandon nodded.

"Yes, what's the matter?"

Brandon mulled over his words for a while and said, "Sandy's contract with Simsang Entertainment is about to expire, and she would turn to Gotrend Entertainment by then. I want you to do me a favor and talk with Mr. Hughes. So I can keep Sandy in Manches City."

After hearing Brandon's words, Zane immediately said, "Do you think it's a good idea? Let's not talk about Haider first. Sandy is an actress. She has to fly around for her job. She can't stay in Manches City forever."

Brandon leaned back a little. "I didn't mean she would always stay in Manches City. I don't want her to work too far away from me, or go away for months."

Zane looked at Brandon upon hearing this. "Did you tell Sandy what you thought?"

Brandon shook his head. "If I tell her, that girl will be angry with me."

Zane said, "I think she's nice not giving you slaps."

Brandon, "..."

Zane took a cigarette and threw one to Brandon. "You'd better not say that in front of Sandy, or you will regret it."

Brandon took the cigarette and the lighter, then lit it. "Any advice?"

Zane raised his head and glanced at him. "What advice do you think I can give you?"

Brandon stared at Zane for a while, then said, "That's right, you're no better than me. How can you help me?"

"I'm glad you know."

Brandon sighed. "As I get older, I want to get married, have a child and settle down. There are too many variables in one's life. I don't want to keep delaying it." Zane didn't answer Brandon's lamentation about life, but silently lit a cigarette, biting it with his lips and taking a puff.

Seeing that he didn't speak, Brandon looked up at him. "What, you don't have the same idea?"

Zane took two puffs of the cigarette and put the remaining half in the ashtray on the table. "Yes."

Brandon originally wanted to say something, but after thinking about Yanis's miscarriage, he swallowed the words again.

After smoking, Brandon put the cigarette butt out in the ashtray. "Dining with us tonight?"

Zane responded, "Not today. I promised my grandpa tonight that I'd be back for dinner."

Brandon didn't insist. "Okay, then tomorrow, I'll go back to Viteto in the morning the day after tomorrow."

Zane hummed. "Okay."

The two made an appointment, then got up and left the office together.

When Albi saw Zane coming out of the office, he stepped forward. "Mr. Lawrence."

Zane looked at him. "You can get off work when you're done."

Albi nodded. "Okay, do you need a ride?"

Zane said, "No, I'll go directly to the mansion later, and you don't need to pick me up tomorrow morning."

Albi responded, "Okay."

When Brandon and Zane went down, Yanis and Sandy were still chatting in the rest area.

They didn't know what the two were talking about, but there were smiles on their faces.

Brandon stopped, turned his head to look at the two people sitting together, and said gently, "In fact, there's nothing better than a simple life."

Zane also looked at Yanis who was sitting there.

After the child was gone, Yanis seldom laughed like that.

This was the first time Zane saw Yanis laughing so carelessly after the accident.

Thinking of what had happened to her, Zane frowned.

Brandon seemed to see what Zane was thinking, raised his hand, and patted Zane's shoulder lightly. "It's all over, and there's a bright future awaiting you two." After speaking, Brandon took the lead and walked toward Sandy and Yanis.

After Zane came back to his senses, he followed Brandon and walked towards them.

Sandy was the first to see them. She raised her hand and waved at Brandon.

Brandon stepped forward and put his hand on Sandy's shoulder naturally. "What are you talking about? You talked for so long, we are waiting for you." Sandy smiled at Brandon. "Don't ask about secrets between women, and I won't tell you if you do."

Brandon smiled. "Well, you can keep this secret."

After speaking, Brandon looked at Yanis and Zane. "Then we won't bother you, see you tomorrow."

Zane hummed. "I'll contact you tomorrow."

"Are you leaving?" Sandy turned to look at Brandon.

Brandon hummed. "Mr. Lawrence and Mrs. Lawrence have an appointment tonight. We can't disturb them."

Sandy looked at Yanis with some pity, and said, "Yanis, I will start shooting tomorrow."

"Tomorrow it's just a preparatory meeting. It will be the day after tomorrow for you to start working. We can meet at noon tomorrow."

Sandy thought for a while. "All right, then tomorrow at noon, we will come and see you."

Yanis nodded. "Okay."

They said goodbye at the Lawrence Group's gate.

After getting into the car, Zane looked at Yanis. "Do you have an appointment tomorrow night?"

Yanis looked at Zane upon hearing him. "What's wrong?"

"Just now, I explained to Brandon that we'll have dinner together tomorrow night." Zane leaned over to help Yanis fasten her seat belt while speaking.
