Chapter 383: Explain It Clearly
Chapter 383: Explain It Clearly
Yanis waited for him to fasten his seat belt and sit in the driver's seat. Then she said, "Yes, I have an appointment with Ivan for dinner tomorrow night." After hearing Yanis's words, Zane's hand that was fastening his seat belt froze. He looked up at her.
Yanis met his gaze. "What's wrong?"
Zane paused for a second and buckled the seat belt. "Nothing."
Yanis didn't speak and kept looking at him.
Zane started the car, drove out of the garage, and then asked unnaturally. "Just the two of you?"
When Yanis heard Zane's words, she chuckled lightly. "Are you jealous?"
"Anyone else will be there?"
Yanis didn't answer Zane's question, and said again, "Are you jealous?"
Zane glanced at her. When the car drove into the main road, Zane hummed. "Yes, I don't like you meeting him alone."
When Yanis heard this, she couldn't help laughing. "I'm with Bonnie, Ivan, and his fiancée."
Then Yanis paused, and said, "He's getting engaged, and he's going to formally introduce her to us."
Even though she had seen her before, she was with Madison at that time, so it was different.
Hearing this, Zane was a little shocked. "So soon?"
Yanis hummed. "Maybe it's because his family is giving him pressure."
Yanis didn't say much in front of Zane.
After all, this was Ivan's private life, and the reason Ivan was so hasty to get engaged had something to do with her, so Yanis didn't want to go into details. "Is Anika back?" Yanis directly changed the subject.
Zane didn't go on with more questions. When Yanis asked, he also naturally stopped talking about it. "Sophia picked her up in the morning, so she should be home." Yanis leaned on the seat. "Is Anika going to live in the mansion, or will she move out?"
Zane shook his head. "I haven't asked her yet."
"If she insists on moving out, she can live in the house in Linen Bay. It's close to both sides, and it's more convenient."
Zane nodded after hearing Yanis's words. "Ask her later and see what she thinks."
Yanis hummed but didn't speak again.
Soon the car stopped at the door of the Lawrence family's mansion.
After the car stopped, Yanis opened the door first and got out of the car.
Zane came down from one side, reached out to hold Yanis, and walked inside with her. He said as he walked. "Phoebe and the others should be there. If she says something that upsets you, just ignore her." Yanis turned to look at him. "Can I say something back?"
Zane nodded. "Yes."
Yanis couldn't help but chuckle. "Okay, if they say something I don't like to hear, I'll say something back."
When the two entered, Phoebe and the others had already arrived.
Dylan and his family, Phoebe, and Rachel were in the huge living room.
There was old Mr. Lawrence, old Mrs. Lawrence, and Miller standing in the smaller living room to answer the phone.
Yanis did the same as usual. After greeting each other one by one, she followed Zane and took a seat beside him.
She thought that Phoebe and Rachel would talk nonsense to her, but today they were unusually quiet.
Only the old lady asked a few questions as usual.
Yanis answered one by one.
Miller came over after answering the phone and glanced at Zane and Yanis who were sitting on the sofa. "You're all here, let's eat." A group of people got up and walked towards the dining room.
Yanis got up to help old Mrs. Lawrence, and Zane went to help old Mr. Lawrence.
"What a show!"
Phoebe originally wanted to help old Mrs. Lawrence, but Yanis was closer, so naturally she moved faster than Phoebe.
Phoebe's voice was very low, but Yanis could still hear her.
However, Yanis didn't intend to make a drama.
After all, it was not easy to come back for a dinner. Yanis didn't want to make a fuss about a trivial matter, because it was unnecessary.
Not only did Yanis hear Phoebe's words, but old Mrs. Lawrence also heard them. She raised her hand and patted Yanis's hand lightly. "Don't worry about it."
Yanis responded gently, "It's okay, I didn't take it seriously, grandma, don't worry."
At this time, Anika just came down from upstairs, and after greeting the others, she leaned beside Yanis, "Yanis."
Yanis looked at her. "Are you awake?"
Anika nodded. "I slept for two or three hours."
Old Mrs. Lawrence glanced at Anika's face. "You are much more energetic now."
Anika smiled and nodded. "I feel better now."
Sophia prepared a lot of food on the table. It was very mouthwatering.
Zane kept putting food on Yanis's plate, and she ate a lot.
After eating, Zane chatted with old Mr. Lawrence and Miller for a while.
Yanis and Anika went to the smaller living room.
Dylan and his family said goodbye to each other and left.
Maybe it was because what happened last time was too embarrassing. Seeing the resolute attitude of old Mr. Lawrence, old Mrs. Lawrence, and Miller, they didn't dare to make any more trouble, so they could only leave first.
As soon as Dylan and the others left, Yanis and Anika immediately felt much more relaxed.
After all, compared to Dylan and his family, the three of them were outsiders.
Although he didn't say anything, he always had that thought in his mind.
Compared to the relaxed atmosphere in the Lawrence family's mansion, the hospital was much more depressing.
Bonnie hastily rushed over from the Cooke's mansion, but she hadn't entered until now.
She just sat by the door.
Evan went back and forth countless times, but Bonnie didn't speak.
The whole day passed like this.
Evan deliberately stopped in front of the door many times, but Bonnie just looked up at him and didn't intend to speak.
Evan sighed and took the initiative to sit down beside Bonnie. "How long do you plan to sit here?"
When Evan sat down, Bonnie moved a little to the side.
Evan, "..."
"What? Will I hurt you?"
Bonnie glanced at him. "Is he all right?"
Evan looked at her. "If you want to know, it's only a few steps away, you can go in and have a look."
Bonnie shook her head. "No."
When Evan heard Bonnie's words, he was speechless. "Then you plan to just sit here forever?"
Bonnie suddenly stood up. "I'm leaving."
Seeing that Bonnie was about to leave, Evan quickly reached out to hold her hand. "You... Sit down first."
Bonnie looked back at Evan. "What are you doing?"
"You sit down first."
Bonnie hesitated for a moment, then sat down in her original seat again.
Evan mulled over his words. "Are you coming to see Myles?"
Bonnie hummed. "I came to see if he's still alive."
"You didn't go in, so how do you know if he's alive or not?" Evan looked at Bonnie. "Actually, why don't you explain it to him face to face clearly? Why are you so stubborn?"
