Chapter 391 Bonnie Is More Sophisticated Than You Think

Myles responded and held Bonnie into his arms, "Bonnie, good night."

Bonnie moved her body and responded softly, "Good night."

After an exhausting day, Bonnie leaned against Myles with fatigue. The warmth made her fall asleep in a short time. After Bonnie fell asleep, Myles gently held her into his arms and then hugged her.

Just then, the ward door was pushed open.

Myles looked over and realized it was Haider. He gestured towards Haider to be silent.

Looking at Bonnie huddled in Myles's arms, Haider raised his eyebrows and said, "Well, you take good care of Bonnie."

Myles also raised his eyebrows and whispered, "She takes good care of me. She loves me."

Haider glanced at Myles with displeasure. "Okay, do you like falling asleep like this?"

"Yes, it is comfortable," said Myles.

Then, he stood up with the support of his arm and looked at Haider standing beside the bed. "What are you looking at?" While speaking, he pulled up the quilt a little bit, completely hiding Bonnie inside.

Haider was speechless.

"You know what I mean," said Haider.

Myles chuckled, "I think it's worth doing it."

"It is even worth my life."

Haider sat down on the chair beside the bed and asked, "Do you really think it is worth doing so?"

Myles hummed, "Yes, it's worth it."

Haider didn't ask further, but said, "I'm here to tell you something, but now that Bonnie is asleep, we can talk about it when you leave the hospital tomorrow. It's not that urgent." Myles looked at Haider and asked eagerly, "What is it? Tell me."

Haider glanced at Bonnie who was lying in Myles's arms and said softly, "I asked someone to check and found Bonnie had given her mother Isabel a sum of money. Did Isabel come to see you?" Myles nodded and raised his eyebrows. He said, "Yes, she came with some fruit and apologized to me."

Haider said in a low voice, "Bonnie should have asked her to come."

Myles was confused and asked, "You mean Bonnie urged her to come?"

"Money can turn ghosts around," Haider said in a low voice. "Travis said Isabel also went to him and asked him for money, but he refused, so she didn't ask for help from him anymore, probably because Bonnie had given her some money."

"How much?" Myles asked, "How much did Bonnie give to Isabel?"

"Nearly three million!" answered Haider.

Myles was shocked and was about to stand up abruptly.

His movement woke Bonnie, who asked in a daze, "What's wrong?"

Myles patted Bonnie lightly and comforted her, "It's okay."

Both Myles and Haider didn't continue to speak until Bonnie fell asleep again. Myles quietly got off the bed and said to Haider, "Let's go outside." Haider stood up and followed Myles out the door.

Myles closed the door and then turned to look at Haider. "Have you checked it?"

Haider hummed, "Bonnie might have given all the money she had to cut off the relationship with Isabel and persuade Isabel to apologize to you."

Myles said, "Yes, Isabel came and apologized to me. She said she wanted to ask me for some money, but she didn't need it anymore. Perhaps Bonnie had already given her. Isabel also mentioned that Bonnie begged her to leave Manches City and stay away from me, and never come back in the future."

Haider frowned and said, "Bonnie is actually... much more sophisticated than you think."

What Isabel said flashed through Myles's mind, and he couldn't help but chuckled, "That means Bonnie loves me very much."

Haider didn't want to discuss this with Myles anymore, so he said, "Okay, I have to go back now because I have a lot of things to do tomorrow. Take care!"

Myles hummed, "Okay."

Haider nodded and stood up for leaving. However, he stopped after taking two steps, turned to look at Myles, and said, "After you are discharged from the hospital, go visit the Cooke family with Bonnie." Myles responded, "Got it."

Then, Haider waved goodbye at Myles. "See you."

Myles stood outside the ward, watched Haider enter the elevator, and then turned to walk back.

Staring at Bonnie lying on the bed, Myles was filled with joy and satisfaction. He stepped forward and lay down on the bed, hugging Bonnie into his arms as if he had the whole world.

...

Yanis and Bonnie made an appointment to meet at half past four.

Ivan made a reservation at Harborview Restaurant.

Last night, Yanis dreamed of Sameer Miller dying in the car with his face covered in blood, which made her sleepless all night.

She wanted to get up, but she was afraid of disturbing Zane, so she lay in Zane's arms wide awake all night until dawn.

Yanis made Zane breakfast. After Zane finished it and went to the company, Yanis went back to sleep again.

She didn't wake up until afternoon.

When Yanis received Bonnie's call, she woke up in a daze. She was at a loss as she sat by the bed.

"Yanis, are you listening to me?" asked Bonnie.

Yanis said, "Yes, come to me directly and the password is my birthday."

After hearing Yanis's weak voice on the phone, Bonnie asked, "Zane did something wrong to you last night?"

Yanis regained her senses and replied, "What are you talking about? I just didn't sleep well last night."

Bonnie snorted, "I'll be there in about half an hour, so I'll see you then."

Yanis hummed, hung up the phone, and got out of bed. Then the phone on the bed rang again.

Seeing the caller ID, Yanis reached out to answer the phone, "Hi, Zane."

"Woke up?" asked Zane.

Yanis hummed, "Are you done?"

Zane responded, "Yes. Are you going out? I'll ask Albi to pick you up and send you there, okay?"

Yanis took the phone and walked towards the bathroom. "I think you will come back and go with me."

Zane was silent for a few seconds and replied, "Can I go with you?"

Yanis chuckled softly, "No."

Zane didn't say anything, but asked, "So, I will ask Albi to send you off, okay?"

Yanis said, "No, Bonnie will come and pick me up later. I'll call you after dinner. If you have time then, come and pick me up from there, okay?" Zane responded, "Okay, call me then, I'm not busy tonight."

Yanis hummed, "That's it, I'll tidy up. Bonnie will be here in a while."

"Yanis." Just as Yanis was about to hang up the phone, Zane's voice came from the phone.

Yanis responded, "What's wrong?"
