Chapter 413 Moved to Tears?
Chapter 413 Moved to Tears?
They hadn't gone shopping together for a long time.
So after returning to the downtown, Zane and Yanis went shopping and ate at the restaurant.
Yanis originally wanted to buy some food to cook at home, but Zane proposed to eat outside.
So Yanis simply took Zane to a fancy one.
Yanis and Stella ate there once before. The food was pretty good.
Bonnie said that they could frequent this restaurant in the future.
The owner was young, probably in her early thirties.
Stella should already have known her. The last time they went there, the owner served them many unordered dishes for free. "Welcome."
When Yanis and Zane entered, the owner was talking to the cashier. She greeted Yanis when seeing her.
Yanis smiled back, not expecting that she would still remember her.
"Didn't Stella come?"
Yanis nodded, "I wasn't with Stella today. We'll come together next time."
The hotness nodded, "Just the two of you?"
Yanis hummed, "Yes."
The restauratrice asked the waiters to lead them to a table by the window.
The view from there was pretty good. They could see pedestrians coming and going.
Yanis took the menu from the waiter and handed it to Zane, "Would you like to order now?"
Zane took the menu and ordered Yanis' favorite dish.
Then he handed it back to the waiter.
Yanis reached out and stopped, "What about yours?"
Zane said, "I'll have the same."
Yanis looked at the person sitting opposite her and felt a little moved.
In the past, Zane didn't know what she liked and didn't care about her feelings.
But now, he put her first.
"That's all, thank you."
Zane handed the menu to the waiter.
The waiter took it and said, "Okay, please wait a moment."
After the waiter left, Zane got up and sat next to Yanis, pulling her into his arms, "Yanis, there are so many people. If you cry, people will laugh at you." Maybe because of what happened at Thompson Residence, Zane almost moved Yanis to tears.
Yanis didn't cry out loud, but her tears kept trickling down.
In the end, she buried her head in Zane's arms and cried, without paying much attention to her appearance now.
Zane said a few words at the beginning. Later, he just patted Yanis on the back lightly, comforting her like she was a child.
Yanis soon felt better.
When the food was served, she calmed down.
"I'm going to the bathroom."
Zane looked at her. "Do you want me to go with you?"
Yanis shook her head quickly. "No, I'll be back soon."
After saying that, Yanis got up and went to the bathroom.
As soon as he left, her phone on the table rang.
When he saw the caller ID, Zane glanced in the direction of the bathroom, hesitated, and answered the phone.
When the call was got through, Zane immediately said, "Yanis went to..."
"Yanis! Did someone bully you? Did Zane mistreat you? Wait, we will come over and kill this jerk!"
Before Zane could finish speaking, he was interrupted by the voice on the phone.
Holding the phone, Zane was silent for a few seconds, "It's Zane."
The person on the other side was silent for a long time, as if strangled.
Zane continued, not caring about the reaction from the other end of the line, "I didn't mistreat Yanis, and I won't. Yanis just went to the bathroom. She'll be back in a moment..." Before Zane finished speaking, he saw Yanis coming out. "She's back, I'll pass her the phone."
"Okay... okay."
Seeing Zane was on the phone, Yanis was going to sit down beside Zane.
Zane handed the phone to Yanis, and said softly, "It's Stella."
Yanis took the phone and answered, "Stella?"
Because she was crying just now, her voice sounded a bit hoarse.
Hearing Yanis's voice, Stella asked Yanis tentatively, "Yanis, you haven't been bullied, have you?"
"What?"
Stella said, "Just now the restauratrice said you were bullied and crying in the man's arms. She even sent me a photo. I was about to take a taxi to teach the scumbag a lesson!" Hearing Stella's words, Yanis glanced at Zane's face.
Zane also happened to look at her, with a bit of indescribable grievance in his eyes.
Yanis coughed lightly, "Nonsense, but he did something that deeply touched me just now."
Stella raised her voice when she heard Yanis's words, "So you were moved to tears?" "Yeah."
"Yanis, wow!"
After speaking, Stella hung up the phone.
But a second later, Yanis received Stella's messages.
Three messages in a row.
Yanis' phone was still in his hand. She couldn't help but chuckle when she saw them.
"It seems that I didn't leave a good impression on them."
Yanis looked at Zane upon hearing that. "The first time I met Stella, it was at the gate of the Civil Affairs Bureau."
When Zane heard what Yanis said, he turned to her and said, "The gate of the Civil Affairs Bureau?"
Yanis nodded, "You said we were getting divorced. I told Albi I'd wait for you at the Civil Affairs Bureau gate. I waited for you for hours, but you didn't show up." Hearing Yanis' words, Zane frowned slightly, "I'm glad I didn't come that day."
After Yanis replied to Stella, she put down her phone, "It's all over, so I won't mention it."
"Yanis."
"Yes?"
"Sorry."
Zane suddenly apologized.
Yanis was slightly taken aback. She looked at Zane, "What for?"
Zane didn't speak. He took the fork and knife and handed them to Yanis. "Let's start to eat."
Yanis took the tableware and didn't ask any more questions.
The taste was as good as last time.
By the time the two left, the sky had completely darkened.
"Wait here, I'll go get the car," Zane said softly.
When they came, there was no place in the parking lot.
So the car was parked somewhere else.
Yanis looked at him, "I'll go with you."
Zane hummed, took Yanis's hand, and walked towards the parking direction.
"Are you crazy? Were you dead? What's the point of saying it now?"
Having taken a few steps, they heard a familiar voice.
The voice was a little sharp, and Yanis recognized it.
It was the owner of the restaurant.
