I Become A CEO After Divorce
Chapter 54 Brother, she does not love you

Anika tilted her head to look at Zane, "Paint sister-in-law."

"Hmm?"

Anika pulled Zane over to the bed and pointed to the painting on the bed, "Does it look like that?"

Zane looked in the direction of Anika's hand and saw several paintings neatly arranged on the bed. Eyebrows, contours, expressions ......

Anyone who is familiar with Yanis can tell almost immediately that these paintings are all her.

Zane looked at the drawings for a long time before withdrawing his eyes, turning his face to Anika and asking softly, "Why did you draw her?"

Anika had a few smiles on her face, "I like her a lot."

Yanis's presence, Zane told Anika when he and Yanis got their license.

Over the years, Zane has brought many things to Anika in the name of Yanis.

At first Anika was a bit resistant, but as time went on, Anika became less resistant and sometimes asked about Yanis.

Zane reached out and took a painting and carefully rested it in his hand and looked at it and said softly, "I'll bring it to her for you when I go back tomorrow, she'll love it."

Anika nodded, "Brother, the doctor said that I will be discharged from the hospital recently, so can I go and meet my sister-in-law then?"

Zane said, "I'll come with her to pick you up then."

"Brother, will my sister-in-law like me?"

"Will do." Zane put the painting back carefully, looked at Anika, and whispered.

Anika was obviously in a very good mood, and took the storage box that she had asked Zane to bring from the side, and carefully put all the paintings in it, and after covering it Anika handed the box to Zane, "Brother, then you can pass this to my sister-in-law for me."

Zane reached for the box and responded, "Okay."

The door of the ward was pushed open and two people came in.

She is Anika's primary care physician and the health care provider who cares for her.

"Mr. Lawrence is here?" The attending doctor was a very kind middle-aged woman, a very experienced doctor in this area of mental illness.

Zane had to get in touch with the attending doctor through his contacts.

Zane nodded and set the box in his hand aside, "I came to see Anika."

The attending doctor looked at Anika, who was standing beside Zane, with a smile and said, "Anika has been in a very good mood for the past two days."

"I'll leave Dr. Wood to take care of Anika."

Dr. Wood responded, "That's all we should do."

While Dr. Wood was talking, he looked at Anika and said, "Anika didn't paint today?"

Anika nodded at Dr. Wood, "Drawn."

Anika took a painting out of the box and handed it to Dr. Wood, "Dr. Wood, it's for you."

Dr. Wood smiled at the drawing Anika handed over to him and took it, "Anika is so handy, and she drew me so well."

Anika, with a light smile on her face, took another one and handed it to the nurse following Dr. Wood, "Here you go."

The nurse was carrying a tray with the medication for Anika tonight, so she went up and put the tray on the bedside table before reaching out to take it, "Thank you Miss Lawrence."

The nurse was about Anika's age, and Dr. Wood usually asked the nurse to spend more time with Anika.

When Anika was transferred to a new nurse, Anika was very resistant to the change, so she never changed her nurse again.

"Mr. Lawrence, let's go out and talk?" Dr. Wood looked to Zane and said softly.

Zane nodded and turned to say hello to Anika before following Dr. Wood out of the room.

"Dr. Wood, I heard Anika say she'll be out of the hospital in a while?"

At the sound of his voice, Dr. Wood nodded, "Yes, Anika's condition has basically stabilized, and she has almost never hallucinated again in the past six months."

Zane listened to Dr. Wood's detailed explanation of Anika's condition before asking, "Do you need to come back for regular follow-ups?"

Dr. Wood shook his head, "Mr. Lawrence, Anika has some psychological stress, but she is not a psychiatric patient, nor is she seriously mentally ill, it's just that deep in her heart there is a great resistance to some people or things outside, and this requires your family to guide her, not to make her feel that she has a problem, can you understand what I mean?"

Zane nodded, "Understood."

Dr. Wood said, "In general, Anika is perfectly capable of living and interacting with people and will be fine."

After hearing Dr. Wood's words, Zane felt a little relieved, "So when can we expect to be discharged?"

"It's just the last two days, she's been in a good mood for the last two days." Dr. Wood looked at Zane and said, "Did something happy happen at home? She has been drawing for the past two days, and she has drawn a beautiful girl."

Zane listened to Dr. Wood's words and his eyebrows twitched slightly, "It's my wife."

Dr. Wood's face was clearly shocked when he heard Zane's words, "Mr. Lawrence is married?"

Zane nods his head.

Dr. Wood smiled, "Congratulations Mr. Lawrence."

Zane said yes, and asked Dr. Wood a lot of questions about Anika before walking towards the hospital room.

Anika finished her medication and sat on the edge of the bed drawing again, quietly.

Zane stood in the doorway for a long time before he lifted his feet and walked in.

"Brother, look at my drawing of you and your sister-in-law, does it look good?"

"Nice to look at."

Zane just sits there and watches Anika draw.

When Anika got tired of herself, Zane went up to help Anika collect her things, "Go to sleep, I'll stay here with you tonight."

Before that, Zane would often come over to spend the night with Anika.

Anika nodded, "Good night brother."

"Good night."

Anika's room has a companion bed, and Zane is lying on it with his coat off, but he is not sleeping.

As soon as I close my eyes, all I can think about is Yanis' face when she turned away tonight.

That calm to no ripples of the eyes is like a thorn in his heart, let him some panic.

"Brother."

Anika's voice suddenly came up in the dimly lit ward.

Zane opened his eyes and turned his face in Anika's direction, "Why are you still awake?"

Anika got up and sat up, turning to look at Zane who was lying on the companion bed, "I didn't do it."

Zane sat up after hearing Anika's words, "I know."

"Are you sad, brother?" Anika asked afterwards.

Zane got out of the escort bed, walked over to Anika's bed and patted the pillow, "Anika, lie down and sleep."

Anika laid down nicely, "Brother, she doesn't love you."

Zane reached over and helped Anika pull the covers over her and whispered, "I know."

Anika sighed, reached out and gently touched Zane's eyebrows, then didn't say anything else and closed her eyes under Zane's gaze.
