Chapter 1024 Honey, Let's Go Home

James chuckled, a faint smile spreading across his face. But at

that moment, a chill flickered in his eyes.

"Without my permission, you took my wife away. Of course,

you deserve a beating!"

James reached out his slender hand and gently patted Herb, whose face was swollen from being slapped four times.

"You should consider yourself lucky that I took off my rivet gloves because I was anxious to catch up with you. Otherwise, your face would have been bloody now."

After saying these words, James kicked Herb aside with one

foot and turned around to face Amelia, who was standing

there in a daze. He reached out his hand towards her.

"Honey, let's go home."

Amelia gave a causal response and extended her hand to him. After James took her hand and led her a few steps away,

she turned her head to look back.

The twenty-year-old young man who cared about his dignity a lot got up from the ground and looked around, although he was in great pain.

Realizing that no one saw him getting beaten up, he breathed a sigh of relief. However, he was still extremely resentful and gritted his teeth, glaring at James.

As he turned around, Herb found Amelia looking at him, and

they stared at each other for a moment.

Amelia burst out laughing when she saw his face swollen like a pig's head.

Herb stood still in a daze upon seeing her smile.

This smile looked so familiar as if he had seen it somewhere

before.

Herb thought carefully but couldn't recall it.

He only remembered seeing a photo in his father's drawer

when he was a child.

He could no longer remember if the person in the photo smiled like Amelia.

He only remembered his father telling him that the person in that photo was his aunt.

Herb wasn't sure if Amelia resembled his aunt, but he really

felt familiar.

Unfortunately, all of the photos of her aunt were destroyed

by her grandparents. Otherwise, Herb could compare Amelia

and his aunt.

Herb looked at Amelia for a moment and suddenly

remembered that Johnny was looking for the daughter of his

aunt.

Amelia looked familiar like Herb's aunt in the photo. He thought maybe she was the daughter of his aunt.
