Lily's

P.O.V

"But what you are asking us to do is completely impossible. Leo hates me and would never sign anything for me under any circumstances." I stammered, Bella nodded in agreement.

"I also don't need to tell you how much your Alpha hates me. According to you Leo and Asher are not aware of what their pack members have done and we can't even let them know about this because you are worried about what they would do to those members if they did. Do you seriously think that he will sign this paper?" Bella inquired. But the principal just took a deep breath, watching us.

"I know that this task may seem impossible, but both of you have to secure your future, so you have to make the impossible possible." The principal replied, but what he was saying could never be done. The phone in the principal's office started to ring and when the principal picked it up a frown appeared on his face. After a couple of minutes of talking the principal hung up the phone and turned to look at Lily and I.

"That was the administrator, he has asked that both of you leave the school right now. You are not able to attend school until you have provided what he has asked for tomorrow." The principal informed us. This was completely absurd, he wanted Bella to bring her parents to the school tomorrow even though they had sadly passed away and he wanted me to bring the money tomorrow. This man had no compassion to speak of.

"Right now the both of you will have to leave school otherwise you could be given a more severe punishment as it would be seen as you were being defiant of the order of the administrative office. Don't worry, I will talk to the administrator and ask him for a one day deferment. I am sure that he will give it to you, but from tomorrow morning you will have to get the signatures of both Beta Leo and Alpha Asher on these papers." The principal insisted as we both left his office.

We were making our way to the main school gates and I was glad that we at least had an extra day. Bella and I were walking along in silence, such a big thing had happened to both of us today. Though I felt that it in a way had brought us even closer as friends, there was really nothing more left for either of us to say. I knew she was thinking the same thing and I don't know how all of this happened or how it turned out like this.

"See you tomorrow." Bella and I called out to each other, going our separate ways back home. After some time I was standing in front of my house, but I was hesitant to go in because I was home long before I was supposed to be and I had no idea if he was home or not. What am I going to do if he was home?

I took the key out of my pocket, nervously walking inside my home. It was quiet and still. I looked down at the shoes seeing that Oliver's shoes weren't there, which meant that he was home. Where had he gone? I looked around and there really wasn't anyone home, which made me sigh in relief and wipe the sweat from my brow.

"Thank god..." I mumbled in relief.

"Why are you thanking god?" Oliver asked, standing behind me causing me to jump and shriek in fear. He had come through the door and I was shaking in fear as soon as I saw him.

"Hey, why have you come home early from school today? Let's go inside." Oliver inquired, smiling at me and immediately nodded. It was never good to make him angry, I knew that from experience. I quickly took my shoes off, walking in as he placed some items on top of the table. "Where did you go?" I questioned him, watching as he took out five bottles of liquor out of a bag. I was so nervous when I saw what he had bought. He had only bought some yesterday and it was already gone come morning, this did not bode well for me. "I had run out of alcohol, so I had to go out." Oliver replied, opening a bottle of wine. Again I just nodded, knowing better than to comment on the amount of alcohol he has been consuming. He was pouring it way too quickly and I knew it was because he was addicted to it, he drinks all the time.

"By the way did you replace a job for yourself? I have run out of money and these bottles will quickly run out, so I want money as soon as possible." Oliver said, finishing off the full glass of wine in one gulp.

"I am still in search of a job, but I am sure I will get one today." I replied. As soon as he heard me his face became flush, his face tense, and his eyes grim, I knew what was coming next. He threw the now empty glass at me. I grabbed my head, I ducking as I screamed in fear just in time for the glass to miss me instead smashing against the wall behind me raining down on the floor in little pieces.

"WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU LILY? WHY CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW MY ORDERS QUICKLY?" Oliver shouted at me.

"DO YOU LIKE IT WHEN I PUNISH YOU?" Oliver shouted, but this time he was moving towards me. I immediately shook my head in terror of what he was going to do as my breathing became unstable and ragged. "I.........am...am....trying." I stuttered out.

"This was why I forbid you to go to school, so that all your focus would only be on working and earning money. You have to give me money for my life, so why do you need to go to school?" Oliver exclaimed, looking at my school bag.

"But....but I want to go to school. Please, please let me go to school." I begged, as his hand latched onto the top of my head, his fingers entangling themselves in my hair. I flinched when he did this as I knew it was not a good sign. He was never gentle. "SO!" Oliver yelled at me, using the handful of my hair he had as leverage to yanking back my head.

"If you want to go to school then go, but if it causes any problems for me or you don't give me money then you recognize what the result for you will be." Oliver said. I closed my eyes in pain as my tears began flowing down my cheeks unchecked. I immediately agreed because I knew that the pain would only increase if I tried to argue with him.

"That's my Lily." He softly whispered to me, letting go of my hair. I wiped my tears away, quickly got to my feet and retreated away from him.

"NOW f**k OFF AND GO FIND A JOB QUICKLY!!" Oliver shouted at me. I hurriedly ran away from him, straight up to my room locking the door behind me. I curled up in a ball leaning against the door and sobbed. I already knew that I wouldn't get any help from my family or from Oliver. Whatever happened I couldn't let him know that they had cancelled my scholarship otherwise he would kill me. I had to regain my scholarship by any means necessary.

Bella's P.O.V

It was already evening and I was on my way to the store to start my shift. I had walked the whole way, looking up at the sky, trying to think of a way to convince Asher to sign the papers. The solution that the principal had suggested was very dangerous. When he said that Lily had to get Leo's signature I couldn't understand why at first, but then he told us that Leo's father was the head of the scholarship department, so if she got Leo to sign then she could get a new scholarship.

The principal had also told me something similar, but the papers I needed to get Asher to sign were to say that there had been a reconciliation between the two of us and that he had forgiven me and no longer wishes to pursue the matter. I would have to only give the papers to the administrator and he would then give up his insistence of meeting my parents, but this wasn't so easy and I knew that he wouldn't sign.

I walked into the store to begin my shift, but I was working alone today because the girl who used to work with me had left yesterday and there was only one other girl handling the counter. The manager had told us that a new girl was coming to take her place today, I was waiting for the girl to arrive because the shop was getting overcrowded with customers.

"Hey, I am the new part-timer here." A girl said and I recognised her voice immediately. I stood up and saw that Lily was standing there.

"Bella?" Lily questioned, I smiled.

"Lily?" I asked, she was just as surprised to see me as I was her. The new part-timer was Lily and we both laughed when we understood that.

"I didn't know that you worked here." Lily laughed.

"Good thing you came to work here. There is one other girl besides us who will take over the counter. We never have a chance to talk, so I get bored, but not now that you are here." I filled her in as we both started collecting stuff. "Have you thought about tomorrow? I am too afraid to go to Leo, I have no idea how I will get his signature." Lily admitted, my situation was no better.

"That's all I can think about, but I have no idea either. Neither of us can give up though, not at any cost." I replied, she nodded.

"Yes, of course. We won't give up." Lily assured, this evening she seemed more confident which was great.

"It's good to see you this confident, I feel like I am seeing a new more evolved you and I like it. But is it because of the scholarship or something else?" I asked. However, as soon as she heard me her face turned to stone as if she was thinking of something. "Whatever happens I can't lose this scholarship. I have to do it for myself, Bella." Lily replied and I smiled, nodding. The good thing was that she wasn't crying like she usually was and I didnt know the reason behind it, but it was nice to see her like this. We were both working hard, the hours seemed to pass by swifty because before we realised it, it was the dark of night. It had been quite a night, but now it was time to go home. The girl that had been working on the counter had already left, leaving just Lily and I here.

"If you want to go home you can, the manager has given me the responsibility of closing the shop and locking up. I have to change my clothes and it will take me about ten minutes." I told Lily as I looked at the clock.

"It's too dark, Bella. I can't leave you here alone. It's only a matter of ten minutes, so I will just wait for you. You go and change your clothes, I'll wait here and the two of us can walk together." Lily replied, just as some people walked into the shop. "Sorry, but it's time for the shop to close...." Lily and I announced at the same time. But as soon as I saw the door open my throat felt as if it had closed up and the voice in my throat simply couldn't continue. Lily followed my gaze and our eyes widened when we saw them. Leo and Asher had walked into the shop while the other members of his pack were waiting outside, staring at me and Lily.

"It's time for the shop to close?" Leo asked, repeating what we had just said, giving Lily an irritated look. "So what?" Asher said, coming closer to me.

"It's time for the shop to close, that's why I...." I remarked, trying to convince him, but he interrupted me.

"If I hear another word from your mouth I would consider it not only an insult to the customer, but also to your master and I hope you remember who your master is, slave." Asher smirked, I just nodded. I couldn't make him angry because I needed him to sign those papers at all costs. That is why I decided that I would follow his every order, so that he wouldn't refuse to sign the papers.

I looked at Lily to see that her eyes were blinking fast, she was looking at me. While trying her best to ignore Leo who was standing a short distance away from her.

"Lily, will you please help both of these customers? I'm going to change my clothes." I asked and Lily nodded standing near the counter. She wanted the same as me, both of them out of the shop as soon as possible. I looked at Asher to see that he was already looking at me, so I grabbed my bag, swiftly made my way to the store room. I wanted to change as quickly as possible because I didn't want to leave Lily alone for too long.

Lily's P.O.V

I saw Bella going into the store room. I was praying that she would come out soon because I didn't want to be stuck in the middle of these two dangerous people. I looked up at Leo and tried not to look at Asher, but I saw that his eyes were on the store room. Bella had only been gone twenty seconds and he still couldn't take his eyes off where she had gone. Why is he looking there like a crazy person? He was looking restless, he abruptly started walking towards the store room where Bella was changing her clothes. I got anxious after seeing that, why was he going in there when he knew Bella was getting changed? I had to stop him.

"Sir, y..." I was about to say, but there was a loud banging in front of me. It startled me, I looked up to see Leo standing in front of me.

"No need to pay attention to others." Leo furiously snapped at me.

"Especially not other males." Leo growled, stressing this sentence even more. The wrath alone behind his forest green eyes could burn this very store and everyone in it to ash in a matter of seconds with its intensity. Other males? Is he talking about Asher? Maybe when I was looking at Asher he misunderstood, but what does he have to do with who I look at? I don't know why he is getting so vexed just because I looked at Asher, but I knew I shouldn't make him angry. My only goal right now was to get his signature on that paper!

"I want this stuff." Leo said, taking several bottles of Coca Cola and coffee, placing them on the counter in front of me. I was trying to count them as quickly as I could.

"Your bill." I replied, placing the bill in front of him. He then added another five bottles in front of me. I had just given him the bill and he was adding more things to it, making me look at him.

"What? Do you want to say something?" Leo asked in his deep dangerous voice, so I shook my head. Can I really say something? I thought to myself, but could not say it outloud knowing that no good could come from it. I made the bill and as I put the bill in front of him he again placed more items in front of me. I looked up again, I understood that he was doing this intentionally.

"Calculate fast, I don't have time to waste." Leo ordered me, I made a new bill. While I was making the bill I kept glancing at his friends that were standing outside the store. Those were the ones who snatched my scholarship from me, they were still looking at me with the same resentment as before.

It scared me as I remembered the principal's words, I understood that they were not normal people. There was something about them that I didn't know it caused my heart to beat faster and louder as I turned to face Leo. I don't know why but it seemed as if he could hear my heartbeat, but then he turned back to peek at his friends and all of them immediately looked away.

"Your bill." I said, handing him the bill. This time he didn't put anything else on the counter. He looked at the bill when he suddenly raised one of his eyebrows and looked at me.

"Don't you think that's too much?" Leo asked, I didn't know how to answer.

"But that is the cost of everything you have brought." I replied, but he looked at me irritably.

"Why don't you give me a discount on the items?" Leo tried, I looked at everything he had brought. All of these items were very expensive, there was no discount on these items. "Discount?" I reiterated.

"Yes, discount." Leo replied, placing the bill back in front of me.

"I want a 25% discount on all these items." Leo demanded, my jaw dropped open. A 25% discount was a lot of money, but then he placed 75% of the money in front of me.

"What do you say? Are you ready to give me a discount?" Leo asked, with a devilish smile on his face. He knew I couldn't give him a discount, I knew that he was doing this intentionally. If I gave him a discount on all of this lot then I would be in trouble with the owner, he would fire me from this job.

I looked towards Leo and he was waiting for my answer. I took the money he had given me and nodded, but he just gave me a blank look. I picked up my purse and took the money that I had given him a discount out of my purse and put it in the till. "What are you doing?" Leo questioned as his expression changed.

"Trying not to annoy the customer or the owner." I answered. His smirk disappeared as he looked at me.

Bella's P.O.V

I entered the store room and quickly pulled out my other top and placed it on top of my bag. I took my top off and reached down for my top that I placed on the bag. In the dark I tried to search for it, I touched the bag, but my top was not there. How is this possible? I put it there, but I was not able to see it in the dark. Did it fall on the floor? I used my wolf eyes to see if I could see it and roamed my eyes on the floor, until I found it. I leaned down to the floor and as I grabbed it.

I saw another hand that was on the cloth. I followed the hand gazing up into the person's face. My eyes met with Asher's wolf eyes. This was the first time I saw his wolf eyes, they were the most beautiful eyes that I had ever seen in my whole life. He was looking into my wolf eyes, when suddenly his eyes travelled down to my lips then further down. His eyes were on my neck and I panicked as I understood that he was going to see me in my bra.

I was not wearing my top and my wolf was going crazy as our mate was watching us, but I brought my top up to my chest and tried to hide myself from his eyes. I got up from the floor, turning my face to the other side. What is he doing inhere? I was still hiding my chest, but I could feel his eyes on my bare back. Suddenly I felt his hand on my back and I shivered. I closed my eyes and the top fell from my hand. His hands unhooked my bra and I got scared. What was he planning to do?!

That was when I felt something warm on my back, I couldn't hold in my moan. He kissed my back. I could not help but look back at him but he had disappeared from the room.
