lan's P.O.V

"Alpha," My Beta called me again as I hit the punching bag with twice the strength. The anger inside of me was increasing every moment. I had not known that Bella and Asher were mates. As soon as I thought of this word, my mind was torn apart with rage. After all, how was this possible? The whole city knows that Asher hates lone wolves and due to that fact there was not a single lone wolf present in the city. No one dared to stop here because of fear of him and his wrath, but his sudden confession in front of everyone that Bella was his mate! When I thought about k********g Bella, the next second I had received a huge amount of information that she already belonged to Asher. She never told me she had her mate.

The two of them kept playing with me, I kept acting like a fool that I would make her mine. Bella also told him that she loves him. I wanted to kill Asher at the same time. He always snatched the things I wanted away from me, not only him but every member of his pack. I had wanted to kill him right then and there, but I had received a mind-link and I had to stop. The mind-link was from not just anyone, but my Uncle Lucas, he took me out of the crowd by holding wrist. I did not know he had been there as well. After coming from the party I could not sleep the whole night as the only thing on my mind was that Asher had stolen my bride from me! He had once again taken what belonged to me and I couldn't do anything!!! Yes, stuff. She was no more a living thing to me, but a thing that would only stay in this pack, in my bedroom and in my bed! With twice the anger, I began beating the punching bag. Seeing me, the fear of my Beta had increased, but he could not stop me.

"lan," Uncle Lucas called as he entered the room, immediately pushing me away from the punching bag and stood in front of it.

"Why are you doing all this? Stop this madness. If Alpha learns about this there will be a problem!" He quietly lectured, so that dad would not attain this information.

"I will be in trouble if Alpha replaces out! Alpha will be angry if he replaces out! Alpha will not make me Alpha of this pack if he replaces out! This is what I have been listening to since childhood, but what about me? Does anyone care about me? Has anyone ever noticed my happiness? Does someone know I am dying from anger day by day?" I asked, throwing the gloves off my hands onto the floor. He panicked coming closer to me.

"I care about you lan and Alpha does too. We both love you my son," He assured me, cupping my face showing his concern, but I just pushed his hand away.

"I WILL NOT BELIEVE ANY OF THE LIES TOLD BY EITHER YOU OR MY FATHER!! IF YOU CARED FOR ME THEN YOU WOULD HAVE STOPPED ME AT THE FAREWELL PARTY!! BY NOW I WOULD HAVE KILLED ASHER AND HIS PACK!! BELLA WOULD BE HERE IN OUR PACK RIGHT NOW, IF YOU HADN'T STOPPED ME!!" I shouted at him as Dad entered my bedroom, I was too loud and he had heard me. On his arrival in my bedroom, both my Beta and Uncle Lucas stayed stunned bowing down to greet him. I also kept my mouth shut, but I knew that dad had heard everything. He came stopping in front of me too close for my own comfort as he stared into my eyes. He looked quite angry.

"You think I stopped you from attacking Asher, so that means that I don't love you?" Dad asked, I did not answer anything, I just kept my head bowed.

"Brother," Uncle Lucas said, again trying to protect me like he always did, but this time dad showed him his palm, indirectly asked him to keep his mouth shut.

"YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW MANY FIGHTS I HAVE FOUGHT FOR YOU!! HOW MUCH I HAVE SACRIFICED FOR YOU!! HOW MANY COMPROMISES HAVE BEEN MADE FOR YOU!! YOU CANNOT EVEN IMAGINE WHAT YOUR UNCLE AND I HAVE LOST FOR YOU!! YOU CAN NEVER ACHIEVE THE PERFECT FUTURE YOU SEEK, THAT WE HAVE THOUGHT UP FOR YOU ALONE!! FOR ONE LITTLE THING, A WOMAN AND YOU THINK THAT WE DON'T LOVE YOU!! DO YOU BELIEVE SO LITTLE IN US?!! IS THIS HOW YOU PLAN ON RUNNING THE PACK, LIKE THIS?!" Dad angrily shouted at me. I knew that he had gone through many struggles for me. I was aware of everything, but what I had lost yesterday was my dream.

"But why did you stop me from attacking Asher yesterday? Don't you know that I only had one chance yesterday when I could get Bella? I had gone there to kidnap her, so what if Asher revealed that Bella was his mate? Weren't you sure that I could beat Asher to get my bride? Did you doubt my ability?" I asked, but upon my asking, Uncle Lucas placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Your father is very confident in your ability, he knew that you would be able to do it, but you did not know the reality of the situation. At the farewell party last night Asher did not come alone, his pack was present inside and outside the school. Perhaps you are not even aware that if you had taken a step even further or towards Bella, our entire pack would have been destroyed there by his pack. As soon as Alpha and I discovered this, I instantly mind-linked you asking you to get out of there before it was too late," Uncle Lucas explained, as soon as I learned the truth, I was shocked. Asher had been there with complete preparation, that implies that Asher was aware of my intentions.

"The real and wise knight is the one who controls his anger and attacks when the time is right, as well as leaving the battlefield when the time comes to flee. So that he returns with twice the power to attack his enemy," Dad advised, placing his hand on my other shoulder, he had some hidden meaning in this.

"What do you mean?" I asked in confusion, both Uncle Lucas and Dad smiled at me.

"You are the King. You are the Alpha, you do not need to handle Asher or anyone when you have your pack members. When you have the best warrior at your disposal which is Lucas. Lucas will kill Asher and bring your deceitful bride back to this pack today! When you will make Bella yours, you will be the next Alpha of the pack!" Dad exclaimed with a big smile on my face. Now retrieving Bella was going to be the key to unlocking my dream. I will become Alpha.
