Chapter 61

Third Person P.O.V

Lily and Bella came out of the hospital room, leaving David and Victoria alone in the room to come to terms with their loss. Bella heard Lily's quiet crying and pulled her close, wrapping her arm around her shoulders to comfort her.

"Lily, you need to control yourself, we cannot cry in front of Victoria and David, alright?" Bella said, trying to explain and Lily nodded, wiping away her tears. Neither of them wanted to make Victoria or David feel even more upset than what they already did, so they kept their emotions inside and put a brave face on for their friends.

The sound of growling and screams could be heard from outside the hospital doors, causing both of them to run outside, but when they reached there it was full of blood. There were so many dead bodies on the ground, all of them from lan's pack. Many of the New Moon pack members had joined the fight and they were also injured, but thankfully none of them were dead.

Bella stood there watching the scene unfold in front of her when she noticed that there was another Alpha there, the only person that it could have been was lan's father. Alpha Jack and his pack members were there, joining the fight with lan and Lucas, against Asher's pack and it had now turned into World War III werewolf style, with one pack fighting against the other. Alpha Gabriel was fighting against Alpha Jack while Asher and lan were facing off. Bella panicked when she noticed Asher's condition as none of them were willing to accept defeat, they were all badly injured, covered in each other's blood and their own.

Asher was losing too much blood, but he was still fighting strong. That was when Bella decided to rejoin the fight, not just to help him but to take revenge against Lucas for her mother's death. She looked through the sea of wolves before her, spotting him almost instantly. He was still alive, but just as she was about to shift into her wolf Asher caught her attention. Bella looked at him confused, watching as he shook his head, telling her not to enter the fight.

Asher didn't want Bella to join the fight, rather he wanted to do this for her, he wanted to get revenge for Bella and her mother. Asher had told Bella that he would protect her from every harm and situation, that was what he was doing. Bella obeyed him, realising what he was doing and stayed with Lily, protecting her from any oncoming wolf. Asher mind-linked Beta Levi, telling him to handle lan for a few minutes while he and Leo took care of Lucas.

Leo and Asher surrounded Lucas from both sides. Lucas was scared beyond belief, even though he was a Beta, he had been cornered by not only another Beta, but an Alpha as well. To make matters worse there was no one to help him. Asher charged forward, lunging at Lucas, but just as Lucas tried to run away Leo grabbed him by his leg sinking his canines in deep, stopping him from going anywhere. Asher landed on Lucas, plunged his claws down into his chest growling at him. Lucas's eyes widened as Asher's jaw widened going straight for his throat, submerging his canines in the soft flesh and tearing it to shreds.

Lucas's painful scream turned to a gurgling noise and then there was nothing as Asher let go of him, ripping his throat out and making all of Lucas's pack members turn to look at him. Bella had a smile on her face as Asher had taken revenge for her and her mother, she smiled at him proudly, but Alpha Jack and lan were furious to see this. After the death of Lucas, the fighting became even more dangerous, wolves were ripping each other to shreds and because of George they were even more powerful. They had three Alpha's against two. They needed to eliminate George in order to make it a fair fight, with two Alpha's on two, but even though the New Moon pack were trying their best George was a formidable opponent.

Suddenly Bella felt a powerful surge of anger and hate coming from behind her and Lily felt it too. They both turned around and their jaws dropped open when they saw that it was David. He was charging out of the hospital in his wolf form at full speed, making Bella and Lily jump out of the way as he came barreling towards them. David had only one person in his sights and he was going to kill them, he was going to end their life if it was the last thing he did.

David jumped in the air and landed right on top of George, snapping his spine like a twig as he did so. George screamed out in pain at the impact, but David wasn't finished with him yet. Lily's mouth dropped open when she saw how crazed David had become, he had lost his mind. It was for one reason and one reason alone, the loss of his unborn child. David grabbed George's neck in his jaws and began violently shaking his head back and forth, until he had broken his neck in a matter of seconds.

Alpha Jack howled out of pain as he had not only lost his brother, but also his eldest son George. Despite all of this it was not enough for him to realize that he was losing the fight, he just became further enraged. Alpha Jack only had only one goal now and that was to kill every single member of the New Moon pack, but in the few seconds that his attention was drawn to George's dead body it was enough for Alpha Gabriel to gain an advantage over him and attack.

Everyone else had stopped fighting as Alpha Jack and Alpha Gabriel had ordered them to through the mind-link and now it was a one on one fight. Alpha against Alpha a fight to the death. Asher took this chance to run to the car, shifting back into his human form, grabbing a pair of jeans and a shirt, quickly putting them on before going back over to Bella.

"Are you okay?" Asher asked, kissing her forehead. He scanned his eyes over her body to check for injuries. But there were so many and she was covered in her own blood due to fighting with Lucas.

"I am okay, I will heal," Bella assured him. They both looked towards the fight that was still going on. lan was still in his wolf form, but instead of watching the fight he had his eyes fixed on Bella and Asher. Everyone's hearts were beating out of control because none of them knew who was going to win the fight. The tables had now turned as Alpha Gabriel was now under Alpha Jack, who was burning in rage due to the loss of his family and pack members.

He was a few inches away from ripping Alpha Gabriel's throat out, but Beta Levi had decided to enter this fight, not caring if he defied a direct order from his Alpha, he wanted to save his friend. Beta Levi was just about to jump into the fight when Alpha Gabriel kicked Alpha j******f with his hind legs and flipped them over, landing on top of him. Alpha Gabriel reached his paws forward, clawing out both of Alpha Jack's eyes, leaving him blind causing him to scream out in pain.

Alpha Jack tried to claw at Alpha Gabriel, but it was no use, Alpha Gabriel quickly buried his canines into Alpha Jack's neck, tearing the skin from his body as the blood gushed out of him and covered Alpha Gabriel's muzzle. A painful scream erupted from Alpha Jack, but soon died down as Alpha Gabriel snatched his head back as he finished ripped his throat out. The light in Alpha Jack's eyes faded away and with it the last signs of his life.

The New Moon Pack cheered their victory, as a blood soaked Alpha Gabriel raised his head, looking at his pack members and family before howling loudly, signaling their triumph. The only ones left in wolf form from the New Moon Pack were Beta Levi and Alpha Gabriel, as all the others had shifted back earlier while watching the fight.
Third Person P.O.V

Lily and Bella came out of the hospital room, leaving David and Victoria alone in the room to come to terms with their loss. Bella heard Lily's quiet crying and pulled her close, wrapping her arm around her shoulders to comfort her.

"Asher, I will be back, until then handle the situation as you please, but don't kill anyone that submits," Alpha Gabriel advised, mind-linking Asher as he walked away from there with Beta Levi quickly following behind him. Asher and his pack surrounded lan and his pack members, who were still in their wolf forms.

"lan, your father has lost this fight and now you no longer have an Alpha. You and your pack members have only two options, submit or die!" Asher announced, giving them their options as each pack member looked at the other, making a clear decision to submit. lan glared at them, but he knew it was of no use because Asher was right. He had lost the fight and now he had to bow down in front of Asher, making Asher smirk as he did so.

"BELLA IS MINE AND ONLY MINE!! HOW DARE YOU CALL HER YOUR f*****g BRIDE!!! WHOEVER TRIES TO SNATCH BELLA FROM ME WILL BE IN THE SAME CONDITION!! LUCKY FOR YOU THAT I AM NOT ALPHA YET OR YOU WOULD NOT BE ALIVE RIGHT NOW!!" Asher shouted, withdrawing from him in order to return to Bella.

"You are bleeding," Bella worried, using her handkerchief to stop the bleeding on Asher's forehead. Bella was panicking at watching him bleed, although Asher was enjoying the treatment that he was receiving from Bella, he didn't like that she was so worried. He took her hand in his and moved it away from his forehead, he kissed her cheek.

"Don't worry, I am fine," Asher comforted her, hugging her as she hugged him back just as tightly.

"Thank you, thank you for getting revenge for my mother, Asher," Bella acknowledged, thinking about her mom as tears leaked out of her eyes. She could not sleep well at night, thinking about her mother's sacrifice for her.

"It wasn't just your revenge, Bella, it was also mine. No matter if it is success or revenge, we are partners, we will share everything with each other," Asher replied and Bella nodded, still hugging him. Bella felt Asher's fingers gently brushing on her neck, she heard a jangling sound. When she pulled back she looked down at her neck and saw the same little wolf necklace that she had lost in the gym when she brought Asher his lobster.

"But, I had lost it in the gym before giving it to you. How did...how did you replace it? I mean...." Bella stammered as she was so happy to see it that she was unable to properly form words.

"Yes, you lost it. You carelessly lost my little wolf gift. But I saved it as it was more precious to me than anything else. After all this is a gift given to me by my mate," Asher replied and Bella blushed at his words. She hadn't known that he had found it. His eyes were on her and her only, embarrassing her even more to escape from this embarrassment she immediately kissed him. Asher was a little surprised as he had not expected it, but he quickly recovered and wrapped his arms around her waist, kissing her back. Bella for the first time moaned in public as he kissed her. Asher found it so sexy and bold. Asher felt like he had won the whole world when she acted bold, it turned him on even more when Bella gently nibbled his bottom lip, seductively kissing him deeper without caring that everyone must be watching them.

"Oh f**k! Let's go home right now and get married in a few hours, I cannot wait, Bella," Asher groaned, when she pulled away slightly, blushing hard, feeling embarrassed by his words. That was when Bella noticed lan and her eyes widened. He...he was.... "ASHER!!!" Bella shouted as she pushed him away. Ian was about to jump on Asher's back, by doing that he would have ripped Asher's thoat open, but because Bella had pushed Asher out of the way lan leapt on her instead. Bella had taken the attack that was meant for Asher, but when Asher turned back to see Bella he saw lan tearing off a big chunk of her shoulder. Bella screamed in pain as Asher ran towards her, holding her close while Leo and David grabbed lan in the nick of time.

Asher's hand was covered in blood as he tried to stem the blood oozing out of Bella's shoulder, he was going crazy. He could not believe that she had just got herself hurt because she wanted to save him. "Asher, it's okay, I am not hurt," Bella said, smiling and gently touching his cheek to make him look into her eyes because he was going nuts at the sight of her being injured. Asher had placed one of his hands on her shoulder, to try and stop the bleeding. "Asher, did you hear me? I am okay," Bella repeated, looking into his eyes trying to reassure him, but he was not ready to listen. Asher had fear in his eyes, all he could think about was when he had lost his mother and right now in his mind he was about to lose Bella as well. Suddenly Asher's eyes turned black as he pulled himself away from Bella and went to the car, pulling the tire iron out and going over to lan. He stabbed the tire iron right through lan's chest, puncturing his heart and causing him to die instantly. Everyone could feel the fury radiating from Asher in waves, it was making all of them scared for their lives. Bella's whole body was shaking at seeing Asher's this way as even though they had been through their own ups and down he had never displayed this type of behavior before. She could not even imagine what he looked like at the time that he killed the lone wolf who had killed his mother and unborn sister with the silver knife, but now she had gotten a glimpse of it. She didn't want him to lose himself like that again. She quickly pulled him away from lan's corpse, taking his hands off the tire iron and pulled him into a tight embrace to calm him down. He was taking deep but angry breaths as he nearly lost control of himself, but Bella and her wolf were trying their best to pull him and his wolf back to them.

"Asher....Please calm down...please," Bella cooed, holding him tightly. After a few moments Asher began to return her embrace, but he was not ready to let her go from his possessive hold. At the same time Alpha Gabriel and Beta Levi returned and saw the tire iron sticking out of lan's chest. They understood that lan must have done something that had forced Asher to kill him even though Alpha Gabriel had ordered them not to kill anyone that submitted. He looked at Asher who was holding his mate while Beta Levi was still trying to get a clear view of Bella's face, but because of Asher's hold on her he could not see as her face was tucked into Asher's neck and chest.

"Take all of them away from here. Their fates will be decided in our pack," Alpha Gabriel ordered his pack members as they started to clean the mess. Bella was biting her lip to keep herself from screaming as she could not tell Asher that she was in immense pain or he was going to lose his mind again.

"Let's go inside and get your wounds treated," Asher suggested in panic. Alpha Gabriel turned to replace that Asher, Leo, Lily, David and everyone else were fine, but he was not sure what was going on with his own son and his mate.

"ASHER, HOW ARE YOU, MY SON?! COME HERE!!!" Alpha Gabriel shouted and Asher looked back at him. He nodded his head and held Bella's hand.

"Do you want to meet my dad first and then get looked at or do you want to get treated and then meet my dad?" Asher asked Bella, she pointed to the direction Alpha Gabriel was standing in. She was nervous to meet his dad, but as Asher moved from in front of her, Beta Levi and Alpha Gabriel saw Bella's face. Bella's eyes widened when she saw Alpha Gabriel, the same happened to Alpha Gabriel and Beta Levi. Both of them were shocked to see Bella's face.

"She really is Amber's daughter!" Alpha Gabriel exclaimed, looking at her from head to toe. Leo, David, Lily, and Asher heard what Alpha Gabriel had said and looked at each other in confusion.

"Amber? Who is that?" Leo asked in confusion looking at David, hoping that he knew the answer, but he shook his head and told him that he had no idea either.

"Dad," Asher called, as confused as everyone else, but when he looked at Bella he saw that she was looking surprised to see Alpha Gabriel.

"Bella, what's wrong?" Asher asked, her eyes were full of tears.

"Who is that man to you?" Bella asked Asher, but was still staring at Alpha Gabriel.

"He is my dad Bella, why?" Asher wondered, Bella looked at his face.

"What? That murderer is your father?" Bella asked, everyone was shocked by her words. Beta Levi was also shocked by what she said, she was calling Alpha Gabriel a murderer, which meant that she had seen everything that day. Asher became angried by her unexpected outburst and clutched her arms tightly.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SAYING?!!! HE IS MY FATHER!! I WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY KIND OF DISRESPECT TOWARDS MY FATHER!!!" Asher shouted very angry.

"YOUR FATHER IS A MURDERER!!!" Bella screamed back, freeing herself from Asher's grip.

"YOUR FATHER KILLED MY FATHER!!!" Bella yelled and Asher watched as the tears fell from her eyes and down her cheeks. He realized that she was telling the truth because in the library she had told him that her father was murdered by an Alpha. Asher looked back at his father to replace that he wasn't denying a word of what she had said, he then looked at Beta Levi to see that he was also quiet. Everyone was looking at Asher who was hoping for some kind of reply from them, but nothing came, it remained silent. "Dad, why are you not saying anything? Why are you not telling me that this is a lie? You didn't kill her father, right?" Asher asked, but Alpha Gabriel just sighed and took a deep breath.

"She is right, Asher, but...." Alpha Gabriel started to say, but before he could finish Asher had looked back at Bella, who was now crying her heart out.

"Bella....please don't cry. I didn't know, I swear I didn't know about this," Asher promised as he tried to calm her down. Bella was sobbing even harder as she remembered the day that she had watched Alpha Gabriel rip out her fathers throat in front of her. "Asher, I will explain everything, but first let's get her back to the pack," Alpha Gabriel suggested but Bella's eyes turned red with anger.

"HOW DARE YOU EVEN THINK THAT I WOULD STEP FOOT INSIDE YOUR SINFUL PACK!!!" Bella shouted, walking closer to Alpha Gabriel as Asher wrapped an arm around her waist pulling her back. Asher knew very well that Bella was going to attack him as he remembered what she had said in the library about how she would kill the Alpha that had murdered her father. She wanted revenge, but she had not yet encountered Alpha Gabriel again until today. "Bella, what are you saying? Didn't you say that you were going to come back to my pack with me?" Asher asked, turning her around to face him.

"Yes, I did say that, but at the time I didn't know that this man was your father. He is the Alpha that killed my father and I will never....ever step foot in the pack where my father died," Bella replied, Asher was shocked.

"But, Bella, what about me? I have to stay in the pack as I am the next Alpha. How can I live without you?" Asher asked, holding her hands and not letting her move. Bella was sobbing after listening to his words because he wanted to live with the pack, but Bella couldn't. She didn't want to leave him, she was trapped, but at the same time Asher was not able to think of anything to make her stay with him.

"Can't you stay with me and forget about everything?" Asher inquired, blurting out the first thought that came to his mind without thinking. Bella was shocked by what she had heard. She was hurt by his words because it was so unexpected from him, she thought that out of everyone he would be the one that would understand the most.

"I never thought you would be so selfish, Asher. You stabbed the lone wolf that killed your mother countless times because of him and what he did you could never forgive any lone wolf in your life. You have always hated them, but now that I am in the same situation you want me to forget everything. You want me to stay in that place where your father will be around me every day? How can I forget that your father was the one that murdered my own? I would rather choose to die than stay in his pack," Bella attested, stepping back from Asher as her hand went to the little wolf necklace that he had tied around her neck.

"Bella, I am sorry. I just said it without thinking........." Asher stammered, trying to think of everything he could say to get her to stay, but it was not going to work on Bella.

"I understand everything," Bella remarked and Asher got scared.

"No, Bella. You are mistaken," Asher pleaded, but Bella shook her head.

"You can not leave your pack, father, or your position as Alpha and that is totally understandable. I would never ask you to leave anything just for a lone wolf like me, don't forget I was always a lone wolf and I always will be. No one can control me or force me to do anything. There are some things that you cannot give up and there are some things that I cannot accept, so I have made my decision." Bella stressed, taking the little wolf necklace off and dropping it on the ground in front of her. Asher's eyes went to his little wolf that had just been abandoned by his mate.

"I am leaving your life....forever. Like you said, let's just forget about everything that has happened in our lives. Let's....forget each other." Bella suggested, her voice was trembling as she was holding back her tears.

"NO!! YOU CANNOT LEAVE ME!!! YOU CAN'T!!!" Asher shouted, getting closer to her.

"The second that you try to stop me, hold me, or touch me I will kill myself," Bella warned Asher as the ground crumbled from under his feet. He could not get closer to her or he would lose her to death. Bella gazed into Asher's eyes one last time before turning around and walking away from there, leaving him.

"BELLA! PLEASE!" Asher shouted, but she didn't turn around.

"BELLA!! PLEASE!! DON'T LEAVE ME!!!" Asher yelled, but she carried on walking.

"BELLA!!!" Asher screamed, dropping to his knees watching her walk away making himself crazy in his thoughts wondering how things could have gone so terribly wrong.

"BELLA!!!" He cried at the top of his lungs, but she carried on walking off of the hospital grounds without looking back. Bella's legs were weak as she held her injured shoulder, sobbing like a child because she could feel his pain. She had caused his pain, but the pain inside her heart was just as unbearable for her. She had lost everything in her life, her parents, her friends, and now her mate as well. In the end she was the one who was always alone.
