Love Began with the First Meeting
Chapter 1397 Extra Story 152 Of Edgar Surprise!

been prepared with care. Mistakes like this shouldn't happen.

Surely it was impossible that it was a misunderstanding? The two of them were military officers of a high rank. Except for Edgar and a few others, the two of them outranked everyone here. Even though they didn't have their own secretaries, their food should still have Sam looked around and he found Edgar had come in and disappeared again. He said in a low voice, "Captain Edgar didn't get the right food, either. Are they all kidding? Have they gone crazy?"

All the lights in the hall were suddenly turned off. Everyone looked at each other in confusion and didn't know how to react. There was a dim light shining from the kitchen. They all looked in that direction curiously.

A simple and honest cook was pushing a cart towards them. There was a birthday cake with twenty-six candles on it. Edgar walked beside him. He held a big porcelain bowl in his hands, and looked at Maggie with deep adoration.

Everyone was shocked and speechless as the cart moved to Maggie. Sam stood up and walked to the side where Daniel said to him, "Hey, Sam, good job."

"Of course," Sam answered with a grin.

Maggie stood up and looked uncertainly from the cake to Edgar and back. Her mind was completely blank.

"Happy Birthday!" Edgar said with a calm expression and set the bowl of noodles in front of Maggie. "I made it myself. This is the first birthday which I can actually spend with you. And though we're in a military camp, I still wanted to do this. I hope that your life won't be full of regrets because of me."

Maggie's eyes filled with tears. The gesture of Edward's love was overwhelming and hit her like a blow to the heart, leaving her trembling. Maggie had always known what life would be like if she married a special soldier who was also her leader. All women who got married to soldiers were brave. However, she wanted to contribute more to their dream, especially by staying close to him. It was a privilege to see each other every day, and she didn't take it for granted.

The life in a military camp was cruel, but also full of love. Not only was Edgar there, but also their soldier-brothers. Her father was proud of her achievements, while she still remained the little girl of her mom, Hana. Her mom had always said that Edgar was a perfect man, but she had also worried about their future life together.

Maggie had only smiled and said that she would work harder to get close to him. And this she had achieved too.

She was drawn back to reality and stared at Edgar and the huge cake.

"Make a wish?" Edgar reached out and wiped Maggie's tears away. "If your parents saw that, they would have thought I was making fun of you."

Maggie burst into laughter. "That's a fact!" She hadn't told Edgar that today was her birthday. Her ID card had recorded her birthday incorrectly, and she was actually born a few days later than the official date. She hadn't said anything because she didn't want to cause drama. In this moment, she understood that she couldn't have asked him to do something like this for her.

However, this surprised Maggie so much. She bit her lips and lowered her eyes to look at the cake. Then she closed her eyes and made the eternal wish of her heart.

'I hope that my family and friends will always be healthy and happy, and that I can stay with Edgar, forever.'

"Kiss, kiss, kiss!"

Daniel shouted out. Then the lights were turned on, and everyone followed Daniel in cheering, "Kiss, kiss, kiss..."

Maggie looked around at the joyous faces around them and felt a little shy. Just as she wanted to pretend to get angry, her head was pulled towards Edgar. His lips rested on hers. Happiness swept over her and the kiss deepened.

Maggie closed her eyes and with the cheering reaching a crescendo, she put her arms around Edgar and kissed him back. She wanted to tell him, 'Thank you. Thanks for entering my life. Thanks for your bringing so much happiness to me. Thanks... for wanting to spend every day of the rest of your life with me, whether that life is at times mediocre or hard, or surprising, like now.'

Their story had only just begun now. People should pursue their happiness for their whole life. If Edgar felt right and they didn't block each other, they could go after it with all of their strength.

Life was short. You should grasp every second and chase happiness.

This is the end of Extra Story Of Edgar. The next one is the Extra Story Of Mark.

[Extra Story Of Mark] Brief Introduction:

I had a dream where we loved each other, but when I awoke, I found... We were again familiar strangers.

Addison and Sally had known each other since their earliest childhood and had loved each other for seven years. In Sally's view, seven years was too much of an obstacle. Their love had become either thicker like wine or thinner like tea.

After the young Addison heard her words, he became angry and almost throttled her neck, asking, "I have loved you for seven years, and waited for you for another seven years after you had disappeared without a word. What do you think you are to me, tea or wine?" Her eyes had been sallow with a bitter helplessness in them. Sally smiled tartly, "You love me so much, do you? What will you do if I betray you?"

He didn't answer her question, but had instead made love to her with all of his urgency and need.

A few days later, some lustful pictures of her with another man spread all over the city. Addison was a member of the Long Family, and rumors about his fiancee spread like wild fire. However, he didn't come to question her.

"Don't you even want to know the reason why?" she asked him, ignoring the angry and regretful looks of their families.

He just smiled and kissed her tenderly in front of everyone present. He told her with that simple action that whatever she had done, she belonged to him only, and nobody could change that.

She asked him then what would happen if she betrayed him again, but what he didn't tell her was that if she wanted to affirm his love, she would know the consequences after betraying him.

Everyone thought that Addison was crazy. How could the Long Family ever accept such a daughter-in-law, considering its status on the Dragon Island? However, one month later, their magnificent wedding was held on the Dragon Island and all the rumors stopped. Until that moment, Sally understood that Addison's love for her was so deep that it had become a dictator. Nobody and nothing could despise it, including Sally.
