Chapter 534
Chapter 534 How Can It Be You?
Hearing his words clearly, Savanna only felt that he was ridiculous.
"What am I angry about? What do you think I am angry about?"
"Savanna!" Brandon frowned and said anxiously, "I don't know. I'm asking you because I don't know."
He was such a tall man, but Savanna saw a child's aggrieved and helpless expression on his face. It was as if he was innocent and didn't know anything. Did she really blame him wrongly?
For some reason, Savanna thought that she was wrong.
But when she thought of the ring, her attitude turned harsh again. "You don't know, then never mind. Move aside. I want to take the child to the hospital."
"I won't." Brandon stubbornly stood at the door. "Let's settle this first. I'll go to the hospital with you."
"No need. I can do it myself." Savanna freed a hand to push his shoulder.
But he did not move. He was still blocking the door. "Savanna, tell me why you are angry. Otherwise, I won't let you go."
"Brandon, you know what you have done!" Savanna did not know how to mention the ring.
She was worried and afraid. She was afraid that once she said it, she would have to face the cruel reality.
How could someone as cautious as Brandon leave another woman's ring in his pocket for her to replace it?
Unless he did it on purpose.
Thinking of this, Savanna could not help but tremble.
Brandon obviously saw her move. He held her shoulders and asked, "Honey, what's wrong? Tell me what happened?"
Savanna opened his mouth, but before she could say anything, Brandon's phone rang again.
But he acted as if he did not hear it. He stared at Savanna's face with burning eyes and repeated what he had just said, "Honey, tell me." Savanna trembled and had a lump in her throat.
At the same time, because no one answered the phone, the phone stopped ringing.
The next second, the phone rang again. The caller seemed to have something urgent and persistently called Brandon.
Savanna found a chance to catch her breath. She was not ready to accept the betrayal, so she said.
"You should answer the phone first. I feel that it's an urgent matter."
Brandon took out his phone. When he saw his phone, he frowned.
He answered the phone and said, "Honey, I have something urgent to do. I have to take this."
Brandon walked away with his phone. Savanna suddenly felt relieved. If she wasn't holding the child, she might have fallen to the ground. "Ms. Thompson."
Lizeth came out of nowhere and leaned against the door, staring at Savanna nervously.
"What's wrong with you guys?"
"We are fine."
Savanna took a deep breath and held the child in her arms tightly. She ran downstairs and went straight to the garage.
"Ms. Thompson, where are you going?"
What answered her was the sound of the car engine.
Savanna put the child on the children's seat and drove out of the house. She was in a mess right now. If she stayed at home and faced Brandon, she would break down. She had to replace a quiet place to clear her mind.
After driving the car to the riverside, Savanna opened the car window, allowing the cool river wind to blow her hair.
She thought of the ring and the letter engraved on the inside of the ring.
Who was that woman?
How did she and Brandon know each other?
What was their relationship?
The more she thought about it, the more she felt pain. Savanna gripped the steering wheel tightly and shed tears.
The phone in her bag kept ringing.
She knew who was calling without looking at her phone.
Savanna was now very contradictory. She wanted him to give her an answer, but she was afraid that she couldn't accept the truth. She was in too much pain.
The cell phone kept ringing, and it seemed to wake up her daughter, who was in the back seat.
Savanna quickly took out her cell phone and saw it was from her husband. She felt very ironic.
She trusted her husband so much, but he prepared a diamond ring with another woman's name engraved on it.
Thinking of this, Savanna hung up the phone firmly.
Just as she hung up, the other party called her again.
Savanna looked at her phone and was angry, so she hung up again.
The other party didn't give up, so the phone rang again. They kept it going, and
Savanna kept hanging up.
However, the other party didn't want to stop at all. Savanna was really tired.
She answered the phone angrily. "What do you want? I don't want to talk to you at all right now!"
It was quiet for three seconds, and a woman said in a wronged tone, "Ms.
Thompson, I'm sorry to disturb you. I'm from the hospital's children's department. You have an appointment for a vaccine today, right?"
Savanna calmed down and looked at the phone number. It turned out to be a call from the hospital.
She took a deep breath and adjusted her emotions. She said embarrassedly,
"I'm sorry. I encountered something and I'll immediately bring the child over."
"It's about to reach the appointed time. I wanted to call and ask if you were here," the nurse explained, "If you are busy, you can postpone it. We can make another appointment."
"It's OK. I can come over now."
After hanging up the phone, Savanna started the car again, turned the car around, and sped toward the hospital.
After parking the car, she carried the child upstairs.
Perhaps because Savanna had not eaten breakfast, when she left the elevator, she suddenly felt dizzy and almost passed out.
Just then, a doctor in a white uniform walked over. Seeing that she was not well, he helped her up.
"Madam, are you alright?"
While the doctor confirmed that she was alright, he helped her carry the child, afraid that she would accidentally drop the child on the ground. "I'm fine."
Savanna felt better. On her small face, her beautiful eyes blinked in confusion.
Her eyes were filled with exhaustion and fear. "Doctor, thank you just now. If not for you, the child would have fallen."
The doctor did not let go but took the child over.
Savanna was stunned and hurriedly said, "Doctor, thank you. I can do it myself."
The doctor carried the child tightly and looked at her worriedly. "Savanna, what happened? You look bad."
Hearing that it was an acquaintance, Savanna stared at the doctor in front of her.
He wore a blue surgical cap and a medical mask, but she could still see his amber eyes, which were special.
Dr. Barton, it's you! What are you doing here?
