Luna's Rejected Vengeful Mate -
Luna’s Rejected Vengeful Mate Chapter 13
Natalia
I had been talking to Blake’s father for a while, and when my eyes scanned the area for Blake’s figure, I couldn’t see him anywhere.
“Who knows? I sensed that he and his wolf were upset when you walked away after he kissed you.” Leia’s voice startled me as my thoughts absorbed me.
“What did you expect me to do, Leia? He is playing with me. I feel like we are constantly in a cat and mouse game, and I need to be the fuc.king ‘Speedy Gonzales’ so ‘Tom’ doesn’t lay his claws on me.”
Leia chuckled; she was enjoying my frustration with Blake and his peculiar behaviour.
“That’s not funny, Leia. We will have to move to Blake’s pack, and who knows what his plans are?”
“Natalia, relax. We will deal with him. Don’t worry. I have to admit, though, that when he kissed you, I could feel his wolf’s stamina, and I can assure you that having se.x with him won’t bother me at all. He will certainly give me some unforgettable moments.”
“Leia!”
“What? I am being honest. And Blake is one of the most handsome humans I have seen, so I guess you will also have the time of your life with him when the time comes, Nat. We will not make it easy on them; they will have to sweat and earn the right to touch us that way, sweetie.”
The sassiness in my wolf’s voice made me feel uncomfortable. How did I end up with such a sexu.ally oriented wolf? I had never expressed those kinds of thoughts to anyone. I took a sip of my wine and shook my head in confusion.
“Our Moon Goddess decided I should be your wolf, sweetie. I have the pieces you are missing as a living creature; I am your other half, the opposite of what you are as a human. We are now a perfect creation of our kind.”
A steady touch and warm fingers caressing my bare back made me choke on the wine. I coughed, my eyes filled with tears. How did I not notice Blake’s presence near me?
He held me in his arms, patting my back firmly. I looked up, ready to scold him and saw the concern in his eyes, but he quickly changed his expression to amusement. I gritted my teeth and clenched my fists so I wouldn’t slap his smiling face when his father came over.
“Blake, bring your wife and follow me, son. Everyone is waiting for your first dance as a married couple,” he whispered.
“Come on, Mrs Hunter, this is the last part of the show tonight,” he whispered, his lips brushing my cheeks and his warm breath sending tingles down my neck.
I closed my eyes for a second, not wanting him to see how his words affected me – I was a toy to him, his new way of having fun. I locked eyes with my ‘husband’, smiling brightly, stunning him and locking my fingers with his; I followed Alpha Elias, with Blake by my side.
We stood in the middle of the patio. Blake placed his hands on my waist, and I put my hands on his muscled chest. “No one” by Alicia Keys started playing, shocking me. That was the song I always wanted to play at my wedding. I tried to distance us, but Blake pulled me closer and put my head on his shoulder, his forehead touching my hair.
Goddess, please help me! Don’t let me break down, not now; I mentally prayed, following Blake’s lead and dancing with him. He had teased me for being a hopeless romantic when I first mentioned my teenage dream to him years before.
“I hope your dream comes true, kiddo, that you dance to this song with the love of your life, your true mate.”
His words echoed in my head as if it was yesterday. I looked up, and he watched me intensely, his expression unclear. I blinked back tears and saw his face pale.
Neither of us realised that the song had ended until we heard the applause. Blake took my hand and led me to our seats-Lucas came over and whispered something. Immediately, our eyes roamed the place, and we saw the rogue standing behind some rose bushes, watching us. Blake stood up, and the rogue fled in fear.
“That’s good. At least now we know that the dirtbag will deliver the message we want,” Blake told Lucas and me.
“Lucas, we should wait another two hours and implement our plan. Get the other Alphas and our warriors ready and wait for me at the northern border. We must wrap things up and not raise unnecessary suspicions if the rogue delays leaving the territory.”
“Tell them we will join them,” Leia purred in my head.
“I am coming with you,” I told Blake, and he put a hand on my thigh, squeezing it, bending close to my ear.
My whole body quivered to his low growl and hot breath on my bare skin.
“No way, Natalia. You are staying here!”
“Blake, don’t be stubborn. I can help you- if I come, I can read the rogues’ and their leader’s minds and let you know their moves. Won’t that save us precious time and help you lead the attack in the best way possible?”
“Blake, Natalia is right,” Lucas said.
“That’s not the point, Lucas. I won’t put her life at risk and then have my father blaming me for anything that might happen to her.”
The slightest hope that he was actually worried about me vanished in thin air. If a knife stabbed my heart, the pain might be less. I gathered all my strength not to show that he had hurt me with his last words.
“You don’t have to worry about your father’s reaction, Alpha Hunter. I am an adult and can make my own decisions, and I will tell your father myself.” With a snort, I pushed my chair back and walked to where our fathers were, ignoring his stare.
“Dad, uncle, I have to tell you something. I will go with Blake and the rest of the Alphas tonight. My wolf can hear other wolves talk to their humans, and even wolves from the same pack communicate. Please don’t ask me how it works, because I don’t know. I haven’t had time to ask my wolf about her gifts.”
“Natalia, that’s too dangerous, my child. You have only shifted once in Italy and haven’t learned anything about fighting or defending yourself. How can I let you do something like this?” My father protested, shaking his head in denial, and Blake’s father agreed with him.
“Your father is right, Natalia. We cannot endanger your life like this, princess.”
“You only shifted once? And you want to go out there with me? Forget it, Nat. I am not risking your life like that-you will stay here.” Blake had just arrived and heard what my father had said. He hissed, trying hard not to make his mood evident to the rest of the wedding guests.
“This is MY pack that we are fighting for, Blake, and there is no way I am staying behind. I will follow you and help you deal with the rogues. I will see you in a while.”
I left the garden and headed inside, smiling as if nothing was wrong. Hell, everything was wrong, but I could not do anything to fix it, at least not for the moment.
I entered my room and grabbed a sports top and pants from the closet. I wanted to get the dress off as soon as possible and prepare for the upcoming attack.
“Leia, are you sure we will be able to cope? It’s not that I don’t trust you, but this will be the first time I’m participating in something like this, and I can’t pretend that I’m not scared of the consequences of my decision.”
“Natalia, trust me; I know what I’m doing. I belong to the chosen children of our Moon Goddess, and my martial abilities have nothing to do with yours in your human form-I will be able to protect you and the others who fight on our side.
Before I could get the dress off, Blake entered the room, slamming the door shut behind him.
“Blake, what do you think you’re doing? How dare you enter my room?” I growled, holding the bodice of my dress up after I had lowered the straps that held it in place.
A burst of cynical laughter left Blake’s lips as he answered, “what do you mean? I entered my wife’s room. Who can deny me that, right?”
I pursed my lips angrily and didn’t reply. I knew that the devil was right.
“Blake, I know why you came here, but I’m not going to change my mind. I will follow you and do what I can to help.”
“Natalia, I don’t want to worry about you when I fight our enemies. I can’t be in two places at once. Please, don’t make things harder.” He sounded tired, and what else? Was he concerned about my safety?
“That’s precisely the point, my dear husband. Please get ready, so we do not waste any more time; we must meet the rest of our allies at the borders in a while. And don’t try anything funny because I will come after you, and that’s a promise.” I lifted my chin proudly and looked at him stubbornly. He huffed, agitated about my behaviour.
“Fine, but you will do as I say. I must stay focused on fighting the bloody rogues without worrying about you. I will go and change my clothes.”
“Okay, Blake, I promise to do as you say.”
He left my room hurriedly, and I smiled at the outcome of my first battle with my husband.
It wasn’t long before Blake returned to my room, wearing a sports t-shirt accentuating his toned muscles and broad shoulders and a pair of athletic shorts, leaving his toned legs on display. That took my breath away. I looked him up and down, and the saliva dried inside my mouth.
Absorbed as I was by his presence, I didn’t notice the expression on his face when he saw me wearing an athletic t-shirt and tight latex athletic pants.
“And where do you think you are going dressed like that, may I ask?” he stepped forward, and I stepped back until the wall was behind me.
“What do you mean, Blake? What should I wear when I am about to shift? I mocked and gained another growl from him.
“You are my wife now, Nat, and I want you to behave like that. This outfit is too provocative, and I don’t like it,” his low husky voice sent shivers down my spine, and he placed both hands on the wall, caging me between his body, towering above me.
“Don’t be ridiculous, Blake. This outfit is what every female werewolf wears when working out. What’s wrong with me wearing the same as them? So what if I am your wife? I am also the heir to the Alpha position in my pack. I will not become a weak female that does whatever she is told, not even if you are the one doing the telling.”
I looked at him, not backing down, and he smiled evilly, lowering his head to my face.
“Blake, what are you doing?” I tried to push him back, but he was like a solid rock standing in front of me.
He brushed his lips on mine without replying and whispered before kissing me hungrily.
“I am marking my territory so that no one comes close to you having other thoughts on his mind. You are mine, Nat, and no one else can touch you.”
His k**s was wild, thirsty, and demanding, and I tried to push him and free myself, to no avail. Using the tip of his tongue, he began teasing my lips, sending shivers of l**t through my body. I never thought I would ever react in such a way. I felt my sensitive area getting wet, and I was sure Blake had figured out what was happening to me and smelled my arousal. He tickled my lips one more time and opening my mouth, I let out a slight exclamation of protest. My reaction allowed Blake to part my lips and slide his tongue into my mouth. He started a game of dominance, making me m**n into his wet k****s. Without realising it, I ran my fingers through his hair, pulling him closer to my face and responding to his passion.
An awkward cough interrupted our actions, and I blushed to see Lucas in the room. Embarrassed, I hid my face in Blake’s chest, and he chuckled, holding me tight to him.
“That will tell everyone who you belong to,” he whispered, turned and faced his Beta.
“Sorry to interrupt, Alpha. I just came to tell you that we are ready,” Lucas said, and left the room, leaving Blake and me standing there in awkward silence.
“Right, we should get going,” Blake cleared his throat and took my hand into his big palm. Not replying, I followed him out of the room and to the packhouse’s exit.
We walked toward the trees behind my house. Blake found an enormous tree trunk and stopped.
“I will shift first, and then you will follow. I want you to hide behind the tree and take your clothes off. I will watch for you so no one comes close while you shift.” Blake’s demanding voice left no room for argument. We needed to hurry to the border to meet the others.
I watched Blake go behind the tree, and the sound of bones cracking soon filled the air. In no time, I saw Blake’s wolf, an enormous black creature with dark blue eyes and a muscular body. His wolf walked to me and nuzzled me to go behind the tree. I couldn’t help but run my fingers through his thick fur, feeling the smoothness on my skin. His wolf stared at me and then sat on his paws, waiting for me to shift.
“Come on, Natalia, let’s surprise our Wolfie,” Leia teased, but I was in no mood to laugh. I was still confused by Blake’s reaction in my room and affected by how he kissed me and my response to his k****s.
“Nat, we have no time for this. I need to shift-we will discuss your reaction later. Let’s do this,” Leia urged me, and I walked behind the tree, taking my clothes off and placing them inside the tree trunk as Blake had.
“Clear your thoughts, sweetie, and let me come forward. It will not be as painful as the first time.” I felt comforted by my wolf’s words and closed my eyes, clearing my head and visualising Leia in her wolf form.
My bones were deformed and dislocated, and the pain was bearable. Pretty soon, in Leia’s form, I walked behind the tree and faced a stunned Blake in his wolf form, watching my wolf nearing him.
“Wait, what? You are a white wolf?” Blake’s wolf could not believe his eyes.
“Hello, Wolfie, I am Leia. And you must be Aries, right?”
Leia purred, nuzzling Blake’s wolf and giggled at his expression.
“What’s wrong, Wolfie? Why are you so surprised?”
“Fu.ck.” Aries m****d. “Blake, we are in deep trouble, man.”
Leia giggled at his reply and walked gracefully towards the border, leaving Aries behind.
Noticing that he didn’t move, she turned her head and teased Aries.
“Wolfie, are you coming or have you lost your ability to lead a battle? Do you want me to take over?”
A growl escaped Aries, and his eyes darkened – I knew Blake was fuming in his wolf’s head.
I smiled at my wolf’s sassiness and let her take the lead, watching Blake, and his wolf’s reaction, pleased with my second victory over my husband.
