Married On Paper To The Billionaire
Chapter 21: Happily Ever After

"The twin-girls poll seems to be taking the lead as more well-wishers appear to believe that the Beaumont babies are going to be shrouded in pink swaddles when they're born. This speculation was fueled by a report from a source close to the family who revealed exclusively to us yesterday that Emilia Beaumont's personal shopper was at the family mansion early in the week with what looked like bags of pink baby attires."

"Gosh, these people are clowns!" Chloe laughed and switched off the TV. "The way they make up fake stories with so much confidence is amazing." "That's why you should never believe everything the media tells you," said Emilia as she folded another outfit and placed it inside her suitcase. "Aren't you too rich to be packing your own bags?" Her sister asked.

"I don't mind. I replace it therapeutic."

Chloe sniffed. "Can never be me. I'd have a maid for everything; one to pack my bags, one to style my hair, one to help me dress up, and one - "

"To spoon-feed you and wipe your ass when you poop," Emilia finished for her.

Chloe burst into laughter. "Calm down, big sis. I'm not that bad."

"Oh, well..."

She became sober. "Are you sure about this though?"

"What?"

"Moving to another country, having the babies there and living off the grid. Don't you think that's a bit extreme?"

"I don't think so. I'm not cut out for this celebrity lifestyle and Kane is tired of it as well. We want to give our children the chance to live normal lives and that can't happen here." "But moving all the way to Europe? Come on!"

"I know you don't get it, Chloe, but trust me, this is for the best."

Chloe sighed. "Well, at least now I have a good reason to visit Europe more often. I feel it's the most sophisticated continent in the world."

"You're the most unpatriotic American I know," Emilia joked.

"Oh, well..."

"Mind you, we'll be living in a small village near the sea close to Mgarr. I'm not sure that's quite your style but it's a beautiful private island and you might like it."

"What's your obsession with villages? Of all the places to choose in Malta, you chose a village!"

"That's the point. We want to be surrounded by more nature and fewer people."

"Jeez!"

"Hi, darling," said Kane, entering the room. He gave a small wave when he spotted Chloe. "Hey, there!"

"Hi, Kane," she replied warmly.

"Sweetheart," he said to Emilia and kissed her deeply. "Why are you still packing? Get one of the maids to do it for you."

"That's what I said!" Chloe chipped in.

"Can you guys stop? I'm only pregnant, not handicapped," Emilia protested.

"Heavily pregnant to be precise," said Kane. "And I don't want you to spend your whole day folding clothes. You've done enough. Please, leave the rest."

"Fine," she agreed reluctantly. "So, what am I supposed to do now?"

"Put your feet up and allow me to pamper you like the queen that you are," said Kane and he dropped to his knee to massage her feet.

"Aww..." Chloe gushed. "I'll excuse you guys now because what's going to happen next may not be PG-rated."

Both Kane and Emilia laughed.

"Since you guys may no longer be in town to attend my 18th birthday party next week, make sure you compensate me heavily for your absence."

"We'll blow your mind," Kane promised her.

"Yes!" She said happily and left.

"You two have become really good pals," Emilia remarked. "She used to dislike you."

"And the feeling was mutual."

Emilia laughed. She leaned back into her comfy chair and let Kane massage her swollen feet tenderly. When his soft hands began to inch higher and higher up her leg, she giggled. "My belly is too large for what you're planning," she said.

"We've figured out clever ways to bypass it, haven't we?" He replied with a wicked smile.

His fingers grazed her thighs and she shivered with pleasure. Pregnancy has made every part of her body extra sensitive. All Kane had to do was to lay a finger on her and she was wet and ready for him. "You might want to lock the door first," she suggested.

"Good idea. I'd be mortified if Chloe or anyone else walks in while you're spread out sideways on the bed and I'm nestled between your legs pumping away."

Emilia laughed. "You do paint such an erotic image, Mr Beaumont. Perhaps you can show me exactly what you mean."

"I'd be delighted to," he replied and rushed off to lock the door.

When he returned, he hurriedly undressed and carried Emilia to the bed. He took his time to undress her and when she was completely naked, he caressed her large belly lovingly.

"I can't wait to meet them," he whispered.

"Me too," she replied.

She turned to her side and Kane lay behind her, caressing her boobs and eliciting moans of pleasure from her. He didn't have to do much to turn her on. She wanted him inside of her already. Emilia lifted her leg and reached behind her to grab Kane's erection. She guided into her throbbing center and nearly cried when it entered her. They made love feverishly for several minutes and cuddled lovingly afterwards. "By this time next week, we'll be holding our babies in our arms," she said quietly.

"Wow, I almost can't believe that I'm about to be a father. It feels surreal."

"I know. I feel the same way," she agreed and yawned. "I really can't wait."

"They're here? Oh, my goodness!" Lillian screamed happily. "Samuel, Crystabel and I will get on the jet first thing tomorrow morning. I can't wait to meet my niece and nephew. Malta, here we come!"

She hung up and turned around, and almost jumped out of her skin when she saw Serena standing at the doorway.

"Jesus Christ! Serena, what is wrong with you? You startled me."

"I'm sorry," Serena apologized immediately. "I didn't want to interrupt your phone call."

"You could have at least knocked on the door to let me know you're here. Why do you like sneaking around like a thief?"

"I apologize. I'll announce my presence next time."

If Lillian didn't like Serena's work ethic, she would have fired her on the spot. Too bad the girl was the most efficient assistant she's ever had, and Lillian didn't want to lose her simply because of her creepiness. "Well?"

"I brought the press clippings you requested for the Doherty auction next month."

"Oh, that's right, the auction... Hmm, we may have to reschedule that. I'm travelling out of the country tomorrow and it's not an official trip so I won't be working there."

"Has Mrs Beaumont given birth?" Serena asked tentatively.

Lillian gave her a sharp look. "So you were busy eavesdropping on my private phone call, weren't you?"

"No, ma'am. I just happened to hear when you said you'd be travelling to Malta with your family."

"And you automatically assumed that I was talking to my older brother? Couldn't it have been anyone else?"

"I'm sorry," Serena replied, lowering her eyes meekly.

"Well, you're right on the money. Emilia has given birth to the twins and we're flying to Malta tomorrow to see them. Please, keep your lips sealed. Nobody must know about this until my brother and his wife are ready to announce it." "Understood."

"I hope I can trust you."

"Absolutely."

"Good. Now, I need you to run a quick errand for me. I could've just ordered what I want but I need this to be a discreet purchase."

"OK."

She dug into her pants pocket and brought out a folded piece of paper which she handed to Serena.

"Get me these at the supermarket and make sure you conceal them properly. And please, don't spend the whole day there. I need you back here to join Lisa in packing my things for the trip. Now, hurry up, please."

Serena left quickly. She wasn't a huge fan of her boss but she loved coming to the Beaumont mansion every day and running into Kane sometimes. She's had a crush on him since she was a teenager. Seeing him up close every day had been a dream come true for her.

However, since that wretched Emilia had succeeded in dragging him away, Serena had been tempted to quit her job and be done with the haughty Lillian who was always mad about something.

Who knew... maybe now that the twins were born, Kane might return to the mansion with his new family. And then she would finally get her opportunity to kill Emilia and free her beloved Kane from that awful marriage. He would fall in love with her and -

Her daydreaming was halted when she recognized the middle-aged woman on the other aisle in the supermarket.

"You're Joyce Banks, aren't you?" She asked the woman.

"I'm not doing another interview. Leave me alone!" Joyce snapped.

"Oh, I'm not a reporter. My name is Serena Filipe. I work in the Beaumont mansion and I think I can help you."

Joyce snorted irritably. "To hell with you and those evil Beaumonts. I don't need your help. My family and I will be just fine. Now, get lost!"

Serena smiled patiently. "You have misunderstood me, Mrs Banks. I don't have any money to give you but I have something much better for you."

"And what's that?"

"Vengeance. How would you like to avenge your dead daughter?"
