Married To My Dearest Enemy by Jared Mandel -
Chapter 15
Chapter 15
Audrey sat on the bench outside the ward until the next day. She wanted to go
in and visit Barbara, but she didn’t want Barbara to be worried about her, so she didn’t go in.
After leaving the hospital, Audrey found a nearby hotel to place her things and get a shower. After that, she headed straight to the piano store.
She was a little early. The store wasn’t open yet.
Therefore, Audrey went and found a breakfast store to get something to eat before heading back to the piano store.
“Audrey, how come you’re here so early?” Grace was a little surprised when she saw Audrey arriving so early.
“It’s my first day at work. I’m a little excited, Audrey said.
“Have you not had a job before?” Grace took Audrey to the lounge. “By the way, I forgot to ask you what size clothes you wear yesterday. What’s your size?”
Audrey told Grace the size of the clothes she wore.
“Here, try this. If it doesn’t fit, I’ll get another set for you.”
Audrey nodded and went to get changed.
“It fits quite well. I’ll get another set later on and wear them alternately.”
Grace was quite a passionate person. She told Audrey every single detail.
Audrey was a little slow when it came to relationships with others, but she didn’t resist Grace’s passion.
There weren’t many people in the store in the morning, so the two of them became quite good friends.
“Grace, I was wondering, are there any dorms provided by the company?”
Grace was a little taken aback. “Do you need a place to live?”
Audrey nodded. “It’s a little far away from home.”
“I’ll ask the store manager later on. I live close by, so I don’t know about such things.”
“Okay, thank you.”
Grace was a person who kept her word. She immediately sent a message to the store

manager.

Tyler had just finished a morning meeting when he received a call. When he saw that the person calling him was the store manager of the piano store, he thought that there was a problem with Audrey. As soon as he answered the call, he asked, “Did she not come to work?”
The store manager quickly replied, “She did, but Miss Griffin is asking whether we provide a dorm for our employees or not.”
“What did you say to her?”
The store manager was quite proud of himself. “I said we do, but where are we going to replace a place for Miss Griffin to live. Mr. Russell?”
Tyler fell silent for a few seconds. “I’ll make the arrangements.”
After hearing those words, the store manager breathed a sigh of relief. “Okay, I’ll tell Miss Griffin about the dorm later on then?”
Tyler nodded and then hung up.
“David.”
“Mr. Russell. David took a step forward.
“Find a suitable house near the piano store. The price doesn’t need to be too high.”
“Are there any other requirements?” David asked.
“Make sure the facilities are good, the security is up to standard, and the place is comfortable to live in. It’d be better if the place is quite spacious.”
“Mr. Russell… the houses around the piano store are all commercial housing. The facilities are complete, and the security would be up to standard as well. The houses are also spacious, but they’re not very suitable to be used as dorms,” David said.
Tyler stopped where he was. “Make sure you replace an excuse to convince her that dorms. can be of high quality just like you got Savory Bites to deliver takeaway.”
David was rendered speechless.
He couldn’t help but complain inwardly, “Didn’t you want to get revenge on Miss
Griffin?
“Is this what you meant by revenge?
“Why aren’t you letting her know what you’re doing for her?

“What kind of revenge is this anyway?
“You’re just spoiling her!”
“What are you thinking?” Tyler’s voice suddenly sounded above David’s head.
David was startled. “Nothing… I was thinking of how to convince Miss Griffin that dorms can be high–class.”
“Make it quick,” Tyler said before leaving the office.
“Audrey, the store manager said that we do provide dorms. He’ll take you over later on.”
Audrey had just finished playing a piece of music when she heard what Grace said. She became a little excited. “Okay. That’s great, thank you.”
Grace smiled and glanced at Audrey’s fingers, which were placed on the piano, and said, “Audrey, you’re really good at playing the piano. Have you learned how to play the piano before?”
Audrey hesitated and said. “I did learn how to play the piano before. Due to certain reasons, I didn’t continue.”
Back then, Audrey was already a grade–nine pianist. Because Amelia said that she also wanted to learn the piano so that she could go and perform, Audrey was forced to stop
her lessons.
Her parents were afraid that she would steal all of Amelia’s glory.
However, when she had given up, Amelia had only put in the effort to learn how to play the piano for a short period of time before giving up.
“What a pity. I think you can even become a great pianist. I mean one of those professional pianists. Grace was a shop clerk at the piano store, but she only knew about pianos. She had no idea how to play the piano.
When Grace heard Audrey play the piano, she somehow felt the music to pleasure her ears. She felt like she was listening to one of the top pianists playing the piano on
television.
Audrey smiled. “I need to be very good at playing the piano to become one of them.”
“You’re already very good.”
The two of them were engaged in a conversation when the store manager came over and shouted Audrey’s name.
Audrey answered and walked over. “What is it, Mr. Greenwood?“Gary Greenwood was

the full name of the store manager. People would normally call him Mr. Greenwood.
“About the dorms you asked about. I can only take you over tomorrow. I have some. private matters to take care of today, so I won’t be able to take you over.”
Audrey nodded. “That’s alright. You do what you have to.”
“Okay. I’ll take you over tomorrow.”
“Okay.”
After the store manager left, Grace walked over to Audrey. “Audrey, do you not have a place to live? How about you come to stay with me and move to the dorms when Mr. Greenwood has finished arranging a dorm for you?”
“There’s no need. I have a place to stay,” Audrey said.
“Alright then. If you replace it inconvenient, then you can come and stay with me. My room is very big.”
After getting off work, Audrey went straight to the hotel.
After having something to eat, Audrey tried to look for somewhere suitable to live on the internet.
As soon as she picked up her phone, it began ringing.
The call was from an unknown number.
Audrey hesitated before answering the call.
“Audrey, it’s me.”
Π
Recognizing Gary’s voice, Audrey said, “Mr. Greenwood, is there something you want to talk to me about?”
“Well, I just want to tell you that the dorm is ready. Do you have a place to stay tonight? If not, I can give you the address and the passcode to the door and you can head straight over.”
“It’s alright. I do have somewhere to stay tonight. I’ll head over tomorrow,” Audrey said.
“That’ll do as well. It’s quite late today. I’ll get Grace to help you with
tomorrow.”

Chapter 15
Gary didn’t say anything else after hearing what Audrey had said. He said goodnight to Audrey before hanging up..
Meanwhile, in one of the commercial buildings….
Gary was leaning against the window. He was covered in sweat. He had been holding his breath just now and could only begin to breathe after he hung up.
David passed a bottle of water to Gary. “Thank you.”
Gary waved his hand. “You’re too kind, Mr. Murphy. I’m just doing what Mr. Russell asked of me.”
After drinking the water, Gary looked at the person who was arranging the furniture and lowered his voice. “Mr. Murphy, what is the relationship between Miss Griffin and Mr. Russell?”
David hesitated and said, “They’re enemies.”
Gary looked at David with fear in his eyes. “Enemies?”
“They’ve been enemies since primary school.”
“What? They’ve been enemies for over 20 years?”
