My Flirtacious Husband (Genevieve and Armand)
Chapter 463 I Need Your Help

It turned out that one of them was the man Armand had hit with coconut because he had almost run into Genevieve earlier on.

He had brought his friends along to seek revenge for what Armand had done to him just now.

Some of them cracked their knuckles, trying to instill fear. The others had even brought baseball bats with them.

Genevieve swept her gaze across the street and realized there were no surveillance cameras at all. That explained why they had the audacity to surround them and act so antagonistically in public. Beside her, Armand looked unperturbed by the commotion.

He slowly pulled Genevieve behind him without taking his eyes off the man he had confronted back there.

"It seems that you didn't learn your lesson," Armand sneered.

The man spat on the ground and scolded, "This is my turf! You're an outsider and you should know your place! You'd better get on your knees before it's too late. You have no idea what I'm capable of." His snobbish attitude angered Armand. He popped his knuckles as his face darkened. "Really? I'd like to see what you're capable of."

The man signaled at his gang with a glance.

Some of the men turned their hands around the handlebars and bolted toward Armand, while those who had weapons got off from their vehicles and encircled the two.

Genevieve was petrified, but before anything happened, a jacket dropped on her head, blocking off her view.

"Don't move," Armand said lowly.

She stood right where she was and held her breath. What followed was the sound of beating, screeching, and thuds. Genevieve guessed the bikes must have dropped and someone was hit with bats. She was worried sick since there were eight of them in total, and they were armed. She did not want Armand to be injured.

Genevieve became more fearful when the ruckus dragged out for a good few minutes without dying down. It was a torturous wait for her.

She was about to pull away the jackets when everything suddenly died down.

Then, someone's groans and cries broke the silence.

What is going on? Genevieve removed the jacket only to see the men curving into human balls on the ground. They were all hurting and shaking.

Even their leader was brought to the ground.

As for Armand, he was standing in front of them without a single injury.

Genevieve was relieved to see that he was unharmed. However, when she went up to him, she spotted a big bruise on his arm.

Just as she was about to utter something, her eyes widened, and she threw her bag toward Armand's back. Her sturdy leather bag landed right on the man who intended to ambush Armand with his bat from behind.

"Ouch!" Genevieve suddenly felt a pang of pain in her ankle.

Armand quickly went up to hold her. It turned out that she had sprained her ankle because she had overexerted herself.

"I-I'm okay... Ouch!" She tried walking, but the pain stung her so much that her face became contorted.

"Didn't I ask you to stand still?" Armand snapped.

"So, should I just watch him strike you? It's not like I can be fast enough to drag you away. That's the best thing I could think of doing. Do you know why this bag is known as a brick?" she asked, picking up her bag and showing it to Armand. "Because they are hard as a rock, and the stripe is heavy. The impact is enough to send someone flying."

Armand almost laughed out loud, but he quickly straightened his face.

After Armand dealt with the men, Genevieve called the police. When two policemen arrived, the couple reported everything that had happened.

Because there were no surveillance cameras around, the gang fabricated their own story and said that Armand was the one who started the fight, but Genevieve outsmarted them.

She had recorded everything on her phone.

It turned out that she had started recording the incident when she saw them surrounding Armand and her.

When the men saw that she had proof, their faces paled.

In no time, they were brought to the station, and Genevieve and Armand went to have their statements taken. The men were found guilty of injury with intention and were detained for a month. It was already twelve midnight when Genevieve and Armand arrived at their hotel.

After sending her back to her room, Armand went to a nearby drugstore to get a cold spray and some medicinal patches.

He passed the spray to Genevieve, went back to his own room to shower, and put on the patch he bought.

Just as he was about to turn in, a notification showed on his phone: Mr. Faulkner, I need your help.
