Everyone was looking at Caroline’s daughter, who was sleeping peacefully. They wanted to take her in their arms, but both Artin and Xavier were standing in front of her crib, not letting anyone disturb their sister’s beauty sleep.

“A female pup is born in our pack after generation.” Artemis’s grandfather said, looking at her great-granddaughter. It was revealed that Xavier was blessed with a baby brother, not a sister. There was some mistake in the report about the gender of the Santino’s pup.

Everyone wanted a female pup for a long, and when a baby boy was born instead of a girl, all the planning and decoration, and shopping related to him were ruined. Of course, they were happy with his birth as well, but everyone in the family badly prayed for a baby girl.

“Ahh! I think we should wait at the pack to see her properly and take her in our arms before these boys don’t let us go anywhere near her.” Santino said, shaking his head. “The doctor said that they will be discharged Caroline by evening,” he added.

“Not a bad idea then. We should go and check everything for the final time before welcoming the Princess of our family.” Carla, Artemis, and Santino’s grandmother said.

“Xav, are you coming with us? Or will you stay with Arline?” Santino asked before leaving.

“I… I have to check on my baby brother, too,” he replied and looked at Artin. “Take care of her, big bro. I’m going.. Going to see the preparation of Arline.”

“Don’t worry, Xav. I will take care of her.” Artin said, and hearing it, Xavier joined his father. Once everyone left, Caroline and Artemis looked at each other first and then at Artin, who had been standing in front of her crib for the past hour.

“Artin, come and sit beside me,” Caroline said. Seeing no one around, Artin finally left his place. “Stay her.” She repeated, making him sit comfortably. “Hon…” She signaled Artemis.

“Papa… what are you doing? She will wake up?” Artin shouted in a low tone when Artemis picked her in his arms. Artin tried to stop him, but Caroline held him near her tightly.

“Ssshh!! Sit quietly.” Caroline said when Artemis came toward them and then softly and carefully placed their Princess in Artin’s lap.

“Papaaa,” Artin whispered, looking at his sister and holding her carefully. Artin looked at her in fear, fear that he might wake her up. At the same time, Arline yawned and slowly opened her grey eyes, looking at him in confusion. “Mammmaaaa. She is awake. Did I do that?” he asked in a low tone.

“No,” Caroline replied. “Introduce yourself to her. You need to tell her that you’re her brother who was talking to her every day and night for the last previous three months.”

Artin nodded his head and looked at his sister. “Hey, pea!! Recognized me? I’m your brother.” he said and leaned toward her to hug her. He used to call her ‘PEA’ from the moment he saw her size in the ultrasound report, which was like a pea in the early days.

Caroline expected him to speak more, but all of a sudden, he started crying after breaking the hug.

“Champ? What.. what happened?”

“Nothing, Pa..papa. I’m.. just happy.” Artin replied, wiping his tears with his t-shirt. Caroline smiled and hugged him.

“Let me capture this perfect moment,” Artemis said, taking out his phone from his pocket.

“Say, FAMILY.” With this, everyone looked at the camera for the selfie.

“Don’t worry, Xav. I will take care of her.” Artin said, and hearing it, Xavier joined his father. Once everyone left, Caroline and Artemis looked at each other first and then at Artin, who had been standing in front of her crib for the past hour.
