“Well…” Artemis showed his ring finger to his assistant. “… I was enjoying the best birthday of my life with my wife. And I had no idea about the party till evening.”

“Oh!!” Kane opened his mouth in a circular shape first before speaking, “Congratulations, Mr. Gosling. I’m so happy for you. You were getting old, by the way. And I have heard about your Ex-girlfriend, and after that, I must say that you deserve to be happy. If you have married her in a flash, then you must have seen something special in her, Mr. Gosling. Isn’t it?” He asked happily, and that was when he observed that his boss was glaring at him.

“What happened, Mr. Gosling? Why are you looking at me like you want to eat me alive?”

“I was getting old, Kane?” Artemis asked in a serious tone. The color of Kane’s face turned white hearing this. Out of everything, Artemis just observed this? He looked at his boss as if he would start crying at any moment.

“I… I was just saying that you were my senior, Mr. Gosling.”

“So?”

“And I already have a wife and a son of three years.”

“So?”

“So, Soooo… I was getting old, so being my senior, you….” Kane couldn’t complete that sentence, which was why he quickly changed the topic. “… I apologize, Mr. Gosling. I didn’t know what I was speaking.”

“Oh, I clearly know what you wanted to point out, Kane. Just because I was your senior in college, you are thinking of me as older than you. Since you’re getting older, you tagged me along in your category.” Hearing Artemis’s word, Kane quickly shook his head in NO.

”No?” Artemis asked, shaking his head, copying him. “Or YES?” he asked, nodding his head.

Kane soon started nodding his head and was ready to cry.

Caroline looked around Artemis’s penthouse, checking each and every room and the pictures on the wall. Artemis left her for his office work before his office hour. Not just that, he also called his assistant from the landline number to arrive office early.

His penthouse had four huge and luxurious rooms, and the best and the biggest among them were occupied by Artemis, which was also her room now. After all, she was his claimed mate now. She blushed at the thought that she was now ‘Gosling,’ not ‘Haysbert.’

There was a big kitchen and dining table of eight people near it where they had breakfast even yesterday. She then entered a small study room filled with various types of books and a desktop. She looked the books around. They were related to werewolves and business books. The last room turned out to be the living room. There was a large sofa with multi-colored cushions, a large LED TV, a game station, and a home theater. She didn’t miss that a game station was of dad’s company, and not just that, even LED TV and home theater were of dad’s company.

“Why’re you smiling?” She heard Lucy’s voice. Caroline turned around and looked at her with a smile.

“Nothing.”

“Smiling and feeling happy at your luck that you got a rich mate? Huh. Because you would have never seen so much money or expensive things.” Lucy asked, on which Caroline chuckled. Little did Lucy know that Caroline was from a family where she had four to five maids around her just to help her. She was treated no less than a princess. It was just that her mother always taught all the kids to keep their feet on the ground, no matter how rich they became.

“You are almost right. I’m smiling and feeling happy at my luck because I got a man who is humble and a good person even though he is rich. Because generally, rich people are arrogant and heartless, especially toward the people who are below them.” Caroline replied.

“That’s true.” Lucy nodded. “Artemis is a down-to-earth man and treats people below him with respect.” She added.

“It seems like you have known him for a long. Can you please tell me more about him?”

“You want to know about him?” Lucy asked to reconfirm, on which Caroline nodded her head. Though Artemis had shared a lot of things with her during all these days but she was sure that there were a lot of things that would be about him that she didn’t know.

“Also, why don’t you show me this place around? I have heard there are a lot of things to visit in Rome.” Caroline suggested. “At the same time, you will get to know more about me.” She offered.

“Oh, okay.”

After an hour, Caroline dropped a message on Artemis’s phone, which was finally switched on after more than thirty hours.

‘Have fun, sweetheart, and take care of yourself.’ She received his message after a minute. She checked herself in the mirror and walked out of her room. “I’m ready.” She said to Lucy, who was instructing one of the maids under her to clean all the light-shaded clothes and dark-shaded clothes separately.

“Just a minute, Mrs. Gosling,” Lucy said because she had to intrusted other maids with their work before leaving. Caroline didn’t miss the look from other staff when Lucy indicated her with the name ‘Mrs. Gosling.’ “By the way, Aiden wanted to talk with you. Since you were getting ready in your room. I asked him to wait.”

“Oh, okay!!” Caroline nodded and walked out of the penthouse to talk with Aiden, even though a part of her already knew that why he would have been looking for her.

“Hi, Aiden,” She said with a smile while the guard of the penthouse bowed down their head in front of her a little, including Aiden. “Please, don’t do this.” She added. “Lucy was saying that you were looking for me.”
