“So? What’s the problem?”

“Actually, I had already informed the NGO under which this old age home is about the cook, and surprisingly, they had hired a head cook for this place,” Pablo informed. “So, we don’t need to cook anymore.”

“But… But I can be helpful in other ways as well.” Caroline suggested. Pablo could see that Caroline was desperate to work here.

Pablo chucked before speaking further, “Desperate much, aren’t you?”

“This isn’t funny.” Caroline snapped at him.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to tease you.” Pablo apologized. “If you want, you can work here as per your timetable and your free time but you won’t get paid for it.”

“What about my experience? In case I want to show it in the future?” Caroline asked in a serious tone.

Pablo was taken aback by her question because he wasn’t expecting that question to come from her.”I… I can talk to it with the management.”

“Perfect. I’m in.”

“Even without getting paid?”

“Not all the works are for money purposes. Thankfully god has graced me with everything. So, no. I don’t mind whether I’m getting paid or not.” Caroline replied with a smile. “By the way, are you married, Pablo?”

“Yes!”

“Do you have children?”

“Yes. I’m blessed with two beautiful angels.”

“So, do your angels pay you whenever you do anything for them?” She asked, and Pablo understood what Caroline was trying to say. “And I think it’s good that I didn’t get a permanent job here because, in that way, I can give time to my marriage and my hobby as per my husband’s schedule.” She added and thanked god for helping her in one way or another, while Pablo was surprised to see how she was full of positive energy.

“Raul, I don’t think this is a good idea,” Pablo muttered when Raul, his friend, asked for Caroline’s detail that she had submitted at the time of applying for a job.

“Pablo, I just want to check her background, so I want your help,” Raul explained. “I very well know that it was Artemis’s call in the morning about not hiring Caroline as a permanent employee.”

Pablo didn’t say anything on that part because it was true. Caroline didn’t know, but Artemis had opened that orphanage in memory of his unborn pup that was taken away from him. When the orphanage was getting built, an old age home was already there, but the condition of that place wasn’t that great. So, Artemis bought that place as well. In short, Artemis managed the fund required for running that particular orphanage and old age home.

That was why when Caroline asked him about any orphanage that he knew, he ended up telling her about the orphanage that he knew, but Artemis didn’t know that Caroline would like to work there until last night.

“Why do you want to know about her background, Raul?” Pablo questioned. “Does Artemis know that you are trying to investigate that woman he is interested in? Hmm”

“Pablo…”

“I know you are protective toward him by judging the look of Caroline but trust me, Man, she is an amazing woman,” Pablo said as per his human knowledge. “I know Artemis is rich, but Caroline doesn’t give a damn about money. Hell, she even said yes for working here without getting paid,” he explained.

“That’s a different thing that she will obviously get paid.”

“Can you share her details, pleaseeeeeee? Just like you, I also want my friend’s happiness.”

“Fine,” Pablo grumbled and shared the documents that Caroline had submitted.

Raul took pictures of all her documents and mentally threw his hand in the air in victory.

‘Soon, Caroline Sarah Haysbert. I will have all the proof against you. To prove that you’re nothing but a fake person. And then… then maybe Artemis will see the real face of that witch.’ He thought mentally.

Raul’s eyes widened when he saw the details of Caroline in the pictures of the documents that he observed after coming at the pack.

He kept his drink away and walked into the washroom to wash his face before looking at the details again. His mind had almost stopped working after looking at the name on her Id and then after searching for the same name on social media.

Once he was back, he looked around to check whether his eyes were working properly or not. And thankfully, his eyes and his sense were working properly.

He checked Brandon’s details, and his jaw dropped when he realized that he was way richer than Artemis’s family. Not just that, even his wife, Sophia Weasley Haysbert, was a billionaire, and just that, her brother was married to Rebecca Cornell Weasley (Earlier known as Rebecca V. Cornell).

Raul couldn’t sleep a wink the whole night because he was busy going through the family tree of the people, going from person to person. But even Raul knew that there was a big difference between the information that was given over the internet and the actual information.

‘Either this witch is too smart to use such a powerful family’s name, or maybe… maybe I’m wrong about her from the beginning. I have to replace the complete truth.’ Raul thought and booked a ticket to Paris to replace the truth.
