“A long year ago, there was continuous war between angels and demons. It went on for years, and god couldn’t see the end of this war. So, in the end, they decided to end the war by pairing a demon with an angel without their choice, and those who went against this decision of god, they were outcasted from heaven in the case of an angel, while the demon’s condition was a way more different from the angels. Because someone way or another way, demons were happy with this decision.

The first and second angels that were outcasted from heaven for going against this decision were siblings at that moment.”

Caroline heard the story with full interest, “You mean they were fallen, angels?” She asked.

“No. Not that exactly. They were ripped out of all their powers, and god turned them into mere weak humans to set an example for other angels because fallen angels are also powerful and immortal, so in that way, every single angel would have gone against god’s decision. But no angels wanted to become a mere weak human.”

“Oh!!” Caroline nodded her head in an understanding tone. “Then?”

“Then, to survive in the human world, that siblings started doing odds jobs to survive between humans. They were not rich but happy. A few years passed in the same way until the sister found a job as a nanny while the brother became a cab driver. Not just that brother also got married to the woman, the love of his life after a while even the sister got married to a nice person but….”

“Let me guess; there comes the entry of the villain?” Caroline guessed on which Sila nodded her head.

“One dark night, both the brother and his wife were murdered, and they left behind their daughter to survive alone. While that sister believed her brother, her sister-in-law, and her niece died that night. That’s why she never looked for her niece. And it was the biggest mistake of her life.

“Then what happened to that baby? And who killed them? And was that baby born as a human, or was she born with the powers of her father as well? Did that baby meet her aunt?” Caroline asked dozen of questions.

“Well, that’s your work to complete the other half of the story,” Sila said with a smile. “It’s your story, so write it in your own way.”

“I surely will.” Caroline said and left from there to do other work, and deep down, she wondered, ‘Was that really just a story or a real-life incident? I have to ask Grandpa about it.’

When Caroline reached home, she had a visitor who had been waiting for her for more than an hour.

“Hi, Caroline, I’m…”

“Raul.” Caroline cut him in between, knowing him very well. Artemis had shown her the pictures of his close one, so she recognized them the moment her eyes landed on her. “Artemis told me about his best friend.” She added, grabbing the seat on the couch of the living room.

“So, Raul, what brought you here? Because I feel you’re not here for him as he is out of the station.”

“I came here to… to apologize, Caroline,” Raul admitted. He had no shame in admitting the fact that whatever he had thought about Caroline was wrong, and he was wrong. It took him more than a week to replace out everything about her, starting from the Orphanage where she was adopted. And he was surprised to replace that Caroline, who looked like just a nobody, behaved like a nobody, was hiding her identity of being the daughter of one of the Billionaires in the whole world. Not just was she a billionaire, but also, her family, her relatives, and everyone in her contact were listed as the most powerful person. Hell, one of her distant relatives was a god.

To be honest, without Caroline’s permission, Raul could never have found out about her. He thought that he was spying on her life, but the truth was Caroline was letting him know who she was and from what family she belonged.

Raul was surprised when he found a driver holding the board having his name. That driver received him from the Airport and took him to villa of Brandon’s. Raul had no idea what was happening around him until Colton told him the truth about how Caroline planned to send him to Paris after realizing that he was following her everywhere.

“I’m sorry, Caroline. I really shouldn’t have judged the book by its cover.” Raul apologized again. “I hope you will understand that I didn’t do anything for any ill motive,” he added.

“It’s okay, Raul.” Caroline smiled and was about to tell him not to share this with Artemis. Because she would do this on her own, and that was when she heard.

“Wooaaahhh!! How did this miracle happen?” They heard the voice of Artemis, who had just walked inside the penthouse.

‘Holyshit! I hope Raul doesn’t end up telling the truth, or Artemis will feel bad.’ Caroline thought, looking at her mate in shock who was supposed to come tomorrow.

“What happened? Tell me, how did this miracle happen?” Artemis asked, eying both his mate and his best friend suspiciously.

“This miracle happened because I now know who Caroline is and how wrong I was about her,” Raul replied, and Caroline almost stopped breathing. Artemis observed the change in Caroline’s body language. He knew that his best friend wouldn’t lie to him, but he wondered, ‘Was he ready to hear his detail answer?’

‘What does he mean by that he now knows about who is Caroline? Did he replace out about Caroline’s past and her parents, and her other brother? But how is that possible?’ Bolt asked.

‘Not a big deal, Bolt. We could have done the same by searching about his brother, who is a famous personality, but we thought to respect her condition rather than digging about her brother.’ Artemis responded, to which Bolt agreed.
