“Mate, what is your date?” he asked, and that was when Caroline’s eyes widened, realizing from where Bolt could smell the scent of b***d. She quickly sat on the bed and then left the bed. She grabbed the sanitary pad from her bag and walked into the washroom.

Bolt gave control to Artemis feeling upset.

‘It’s okay, Bolt.’ Artemis said, knowing what Bolt was thinking before.

‘I was about to ask about taking a step ahead. And this… this happened.’ He grumbled.

‘She is our mate. We can get an infinite amount of times to make love. We have to now take care of her, okay?’

‘Okay!’

After a while, Caroline came out of the washroom. Artemis observed that she wasn’t making eye contact with him. When she joined him on the bed, she tried to sleep quickly without looking at him because she was feeling shy.

Artemis chuckled and pulled her close to him, and kissed her forehead.

“Is my mate feeling shy? Hmm?” he teased. Caroline shook her head and finally looked at him. “Do you have a map?” he asked next, confusing Caroline.

“Map? Map of which country.”

“Map of your eyes because I just lost in your eyes,” he responded, to which Caroline smiled widely. “You’ve got a lot of beautiful curves, but your smile is absolutely my favorite.”

“Damn you, Artemis! You’re so good in it.” Caroline said, hugging him, hiding her face in his naked chest, on which Artemis laughed. “Is Bolt upset? I saw l**t and desire in his eyes.” She asked softly.

“I’m not upset, Mate. And there is always l**t, desire, and love in my eyes for you.” Bolt replied, kissing her hair. He cursed inwardly for getting upset about those things that were not in either her or his hand. “So, how long do your stay in periods, and what are the things that you face these days? You know, Menstrual cramps.”

“Nothing much. It stays for four to five days, and the first two days are not so great for me. And my flow is normal.”

“Not great in what way?” Bolt asked to prepare for the first two days mentally.

“The same common thing like pain in my lower part of the body, thighs, and legs. I get irritated even on tiny things, and I don’t feel like eating. I love eating ice cream these days, but after having it, my cramps get worst.”

Bolt’s eyes widened after hearing this. Both Artemis and Bolt made a mental note to keep her away from ice cream for the next five days, even if she would ask for it. Caroline answered a lot of things to him, whatever he asked. At the same time, he mind linked one of the guards to get an electric water heating pad because he knew he would need it soon.

In the middle of the night, Artemis smelt Caroline’s pain, so he silently left the bed and took the heating pad from his guard; after charging it, he placed it near Caroline’s abdomen. She took with without opening her eyes and whispered in a low tone.

“Thank you, Mom.”

Artemis stayed awake near her, caressing her hair until he realized that she had finally slept. The next morning, he let her sleep peacefully for a long time and even forbade the maid from entering the room to clean the room.

“Lucy, what are you preparing for breakfast?” Artemis asked, entering the kitchen.

“Corn soup and manchow soup. I sense that Caroline is on period. So, I thought to prepare both her most favorite soup and her least favorite soup for breakfast. Hope she will have one.”

“Thank you, Lucy.”

“Anytime, son. Here, now go and make your mate eat something. If you need any help, then let me know.”

“Sure.”

Throughout the day, Artemis looked after his mate in the best way he could. He didn’t point out but wondered whether Caroline could behave something like that during her pregnancy days. Everything was fine and tolerable except the part where she didn’t want to eat anything.

“Did she eat anything?” Lucy asked, on which Artemis shook his head.

“I don’t know what I should do now,” Artemis muttered in tension. At the same time, he felt someone trying to mind link him.

‘Arti, I have good news and bad news for you.’ Raul said.

‘What’s it?’

‘Oliver Weasley is in our office building, the co-owner of the restaurant with whom you want to merge with your hotel’s business.’

‘I know. He is here for his business meeting with Santino.’ Artemis said as if there wasn’t anything new about this news.

‘But you don’t know the fact that he rejected your cousin’s idea. Come into the meeting room as soon as possible before he leaves. It can be your chance.’

‘Just a minute. I will be there.’ Artemis said, quickly reaching into his room to wear formal clothes, he had decided to work from home today, but he had to leave Caroline for a while.

“Why are you so hurry?” Caroline asked when she saw her mate getting ready in formal clothes.

“Oliver Weasley is here. Remember the restaurant where we ate? The owner of that restaurant. I have to talk with him. I know I don’t have his appointment, but if he will give me a chance, then I think I can crack this deal.” he mumbled after giving a quick k**s to Caroline. “I will be back in half an hour. Take care of yourself and please eat something, please.” saying this, he left the room.

‘Artemis doesn’t have Uncle Oli’s appointment. Damn, he might get pissed at Artemis’s unprofessional behavior. What if he won’t give Artemis any chance?’ She wondered. She closed her eyes to hear Artemis’s thoughts in his mind with the help of the ring that he was wearing.
