Artemis couldn’t stop Caroline from participating after hearing her words. He was very well aware that she knew what was going on in his mind; she still wanted to participate, but why?

‘Because I didn’t want to be the reason behind your failure, hon. If I wouldn’t have decided to participate, then all your life, you have to hear that you couldn’t be Alpha because of me, even if that would have been your decision. Also, I didn’t like the way she introduced me in front of the pack members. From the first day until now, you have fought for me, for my respect and dignity with everyone. But it’s high time to show others that whom they were messing with from the beginning.’ Caroline replied and reached near Erica before announcing herself in front of pack members with the help of Mic.

“I’m glad to know that you all loved me equally to Erica even though we just met,” Caroline said. “I’m here just to say that yes, I, Caroline Gosling, accept your challenge, Erica Fernandez.”, She added with a smile.

Santino could sense that her smile was like a silence before the storm.

While Erica thought that she had won the game already. Caroline looked at everyone who looked concerned for her and gave them a reassuring smile, especially her mate, who was waiting for her signal and would jump in the middle, saying a big NO to this fight.

“I’m going to get some popcorn. Do anyone else want anything? Popcorn or cold drinks?” Raul asked without any stress. Artemis knew that his best friend knew everything about his mate, and seeing his this relax, both Bolt and he relaxed little bit.

‘Maybe she is going show something to us which is unknown to us?’ Bolt suggested.

‘Yes. I do feel the same.’

Both Erica and Caroline was in gown so they both were going to face almost the same issue with their clothes, except the fact that there was a slit on Caroline’s gown because of which she had a upper hand in terms of clothes. The rules were clear, whoever will lock their opponent on the ground for ten seconds would be the winner. And since Caroline couldn’t use her spells, Erica was also forbidden to shift into wolf form. They had to fight in their human form.

“I hope you both are clear with the rules?” Artemis’s father asked.

“Yes, Alpha!! Yes, Father!! Both Erica and Caroline replied with a nod. Soon, Caroline was left alone with Erica in the middle of the ground, surrounded by all the pack members in a square space. Erica considered Caroline from head to toe with a sneer while Caroline tried to be as unreadable as her mother had taught her, hiding her emotions.

“If you lose Caroline, just don’t use your magic to take revenge on me outside the pack.”

Caroline ignored Erica’s remark. She promised to give reply to Erica’s remark by making her taste her own medicine. They both stepped back to a few foot distance between each other and started walking slowly. Everyone tensed up around them, feeling the friendly battle was about to start.

Caroline watched her eyes and the way she moved, closely studying her body language. They took a few steps, walking in the square while observing each other. Caroline was waiting for her attack, and just as she had guessed, Erica suddenly shifted her balance and ran toward her to end this game as soon as possible. Caroline dodged her fist at the very last moment and slid under her arms to stand behind him. Caroline immediately kicked behind her knee.

Erica couldn’t help but bend and get on her knee; without missing a second, she launched her fist, aiming for Erica’s jaw, and in the next moment, she fell miserably to the ground. But like a fighter, she quickly stood on her feet, ignoring the pain.

While Erica was thinking of ending everything soon, while Caroline didn’t want anything like that, she wanted to play with Erica and hit her so many times that she would land on the ground on her own by losing all her strength. And Caroline kept her word; whenever Erica used to hit her, Caroline used to end up throwing her to the ground again, and again, and again, and again!!

Santino pressed his temple in anger. He knew that underestimating Caroline was his and Erica’s biggest mistake. But what he didn’t expect was Caroline to be such a well-trained witch. He meant that in the previous fifteen minutes, not once Erica could even hit her, and Caroline had changed Erica’s looks. From a beauty queen, she looked no less than a beggar now.

Everyone could clearly see the result of the fight already. The surprising thing about everything was Caroline was hitting one of the best warriors of the pack without any effort and so easily. By continuously losing to Caroline, Erica growled at her loudly and started to shape-shifting. Artemis didn’t waste a second and ran toward his mate to protect her, but Caroline showed him her hand and signaled him to move back. He didn’t go against her decision again and watched Erica to turned into a grey wolf in two to three seconds. By doing this, she broke the rule and was disqualified already, but Caroline signaled Artemis’s father not to intervene.

It looked like she was waiting for something. The moment Erica’s wolf took control of her body, she jumped at Caroline. But before she could even touch Caroline’s raven black wings appeared from her back, and in the next moment, she was in the sky.

Everyone gasped seeing this while Sila’s eyes widened, realizing that Caroline had wings just like her brother and she had once, but HOW?

Erica’s wolf jumped like an animal in the circus, trying to catch Caroline, but she couldn’t. And by replaceing the moment, Caroline was hitting her wolf with her heels from time to time. Erice couldn’t understand how to fight with an enemy whom she couldn’t even touch. After trying for a long, in the end, she ended up falling to the ground and turned into a human while Caroline landed on the ground effortlessly like an angel from the sky.
