Instead of enjoying her victory, she reached near Erica to check on her.

“Get clothing for her, please.” She said, covering Erica with her big enormous wings. Soon a lady reached near her with a shirt, and Caroline offered that to Erica so that she could hide.

“I’m helping you for the first and last time, Erica. Remember this incident before messing with me next time. I’m sweet as sugar, hard as ice, hurt me once, I promise to kill you twice.”

“Though everyone present here already know the result of today’s friendly match.” Artemis paused before continuing, “I have an announcement to make.”

The moment Caroline won, everyone started calling her Luna and Artemis Alpha, but it didn’t change Artemis’s decision to give up on Alpha’s position. At the same time, Santino was planning ways to teach a good lesson to Erica. He wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up killing Erica in anger.

He had warned her not to mess up with Caroline without knowing anything about her, but still, she went against his decision. At the same time, no one would have expected that Caroline would have such big and beautiful wings that she would start flying. And it was a part of her, not some magic.

‘If she had been Mine, then the story would have been different. She has brought everything to Arti’s life that he didn’t have before. She is really a lucky charm for him.’ He thought, looking at Caroline.

‘Seriously? Eyeing your brother’s mate now?’ His wolf growled in anger.

‘I’m not talking in that way.’ Santino cleared his wolf’s thoughts before he would have started fighting with him. ‘Now, let me hear what announcement he has to make. Eve

“I don’t want to become the Alpha of the pack,” Artemis announced, surprising everyone because everything had happened because of him. Santino would have become the new Alpha of the pack on his 23rd birthday, but he went against that decision and declared himself as the second and eligible candidate for Alpha from the moment his father became the Alpha of the pack. “After hearing this, don’t start assuming that I’m possessed by my own mate.” he joked, wrapping his hand around Caroline’s shoulder.

“I’m very much in my sense,” Artemis said. “It’s just that I want to end the issue over a pack between Santino and me. We were just pups when we started fighting for Alpha’s title, and now we are at that age that we will soon become a father of pups, so I guess high time we should stop fighting over a title. That’s why I have decided to give up.”

Caroline smiled at her mate’s decision. Because it was not easy for everyone to give up on something that they love to make others happy and content, she learned about this in her own family. Her father was fond of chocolate or anything made up of chocolate, but he prioritized changing his chocolate when Colton and Calvin came into the picture. One could say that every father does that for his children, but then again, Colton had a habit of giving up on everything that Calvin liked, from food to toys. Hell, Colton even decided to give up on their mate instead of sharing, knowing very well how much Calvin hated sharing.

They were just twenty-three and half years old, so it was not a that big deal for them at this age, but she could help but wonder what would happen when they would actually replace their mate.

As much as she knew her twin brothers, both wanted to give up on their mate for one other.

“Sarah?” Artemis’s voice brought her out of her thought. “What are you thinking so deeply?”

“Umm… noth..” Caroline was about to lie but recalled a previous incident when she had lied to him for the first time. “I will tell you about it after reaching home.” She said.

“Hmm. You have to tell a lot of things after reaching home.” Artemis said, silently signaling that he wanted to know everything about her. It was obvious that he wouldn’t fight with her over this fact, but still, he was now losing his patience. She said that she loved him and she should now trust him completely, too, because there was no love without trust.

“I will. I will tell you everything.” Caroline said softly. “Are… are you mad at me?” She asked, sensing his anger through mate bond.

“No, sweetheart. I can never get mad at you.” Artemis admitted. “It’s just that everyone saw and how shocked I was seeing your….”

“Wings?”

“Yes!! Beautiful and big black wings.” Artemis corrected. “I wanted to know everything about you from you first. But you took that right from me by showing your amazing wings in front of everyone,” he complained. “You told me that we are your number one priority, even before your parents, and while sharing your secret, you didn’t consider me as your number one priority. I’m just hurt.”

“I’m sorry.”

“I don’t want you sorry, Sarah. I hope that this is the first and last time you have done something like this, right?”

“Yes, the last time,” Caroline said, nodding her head.

“That also includes the news of your pregnancy. Dare you disclose it to someone else to plan a surprise for me? You will come straight to me and tell me about it first before sharing that grand news with someone else.” Artemis said in a serious tone, on which Caroline giggled and hugged him without caring about the crowd near her. In the middle of the pack members the pack, they kept hugging each other until Artemis leaned toward her and kissed her with passion.

Other people couldn’t help but stare at them. They might come from two different backgrounds, but they were really made of each other.
