Caroline didn’t understand that part then, but after that conversation, Calvin and Colton stopped scaring all the boys around her but still kept a close eye on her just because Sophia wanted Caroline to enjoy even that phase of her life.

It was when Caroline learned how fake the people around her were. Because whenever she used to use the word ‘WAIT’ till her eighteen years old. Those boys who showed interest in her and who agreed to wait used to be seen with other girls.

When Caroline was finally eighteen, she had a conversation with both her mom and dad this time.

“Now, neither Colton is in your life nor Calvin to scare the boys around you nor to keep eyes on you all the time, and by this time, you also got to know what kind of people are around you. So, if you use your mind as well before falling for someone, Caro.”

“I will, Mom,” Caroline said confidently.

“You can now date boys, also hang out with them, and also all other things that couples do in a relationship nowadays,” Sophia said, widening Caroline’s eyes while Brandon just narrowed his eyes at his wife’s words. “But make sure that guy LOVES you for REAL, not this time pass thing. And make sure he can wait, okay?”

“Okay, Mom.” Caroline smiled, understanding her mother’s words.

“Though I know my princess is smart and intelligent but still, in any case, he will get successful in fooling you by naming his l**t in the name of love. I swear, princess, I will cut his balls.” Brandon said bluntly. Caroline’s eyes widened a few centimeters more, hearing him.

Brandon stood from his seat, straightening his coat, “If ANYONE… ANYONE will just use and throw my daughter like a thing thinking her as a NOBODY; then I will personally throw his little brother away by cutting it from his body.”

“Phe*… it means my little member is safe,” Artemis said, sighing in relief on which Caroline giggled. “By the way, did your mom and dad never talk about marriage or something related to that topic?” he probed, on which Caroline shook her head. He couldn’t help but hiss, realizing that his mate never got the green flag for the marriage part.

“By the way, it’s already evening. Where is my brother?” Caroline mumbled and picked up her phone to call him when Artemis picked a new smell.

‘Mr. Gosling, you have a visitor.’ Aiden mind linked. ‘Were you expecting someone? Because he is not revealing anything about himself and giving me scary and cold looks. He just told me that ‘you and your mate know about his arrival.’’

‘Let him use the elevator. He is my brother-in-law.’ Artemis answered and looked at Caroline. “Your brother is here.”

“What… what should I do? How will I impress him? You told me that he is like your father, so…” Artemis satiated, panicking with the arrival of Colton as if he was his father-in-law.

“Relax. Just be you. The real you. You don’t have to worry about impressing anyone. I mean, yes, that includes my parents but not my siblings, who are younger than me. I want others to see that why I fell in love with this man, okay?”

Artemis smiled, hearing her, and nodded his head. After a while, Colton rang the doorbell. Both Artemis and Caroline left the room to attend. Caroline was walking ahead of Artemis and quickly opened the door to meet her brother.

She smiled widely when she saw Colton and jumped on him to hug him. As Colton was well aware of her behavior, he was quick to grab her tiny frame against him, but his eyes were on Artemis, who was wearing t-shirt and Crago shorts. He couldn’t help but wonder what this mutt would have done because of which Caroline fell for him so easily and so early, that too just after her small heartbreak.

While Artemis’s eyes didn’t leave him, he had heard the cases when something brother and sister fall for one another in case they were not related by b***d, and observing how handsome Caroline’s brother was, he was glad that this situation didn’t happen in their case.

Caroline had already informed him that Colton and Calvin were identical twins, and both were the 80-90% copy of her father and took nothing from her mother in look wise. And he could already see that Colton had light brown hair with brown eyes; even at the age of twenty-three, he didn’t look like twenty-three, in fact, more than that.

At the same time, where Caroline liked to stay as a NOBODY, Colton’s clothes and his accessories were screaming MONEY because of his custom-made suit, expensive cologue, and Rolex watch in his left hand. His look and clothes were screaming loudly that he was Richie rich.

“I missed you,” Caroline confessed.

Colton finally looked at his sister before speaking, “Still, you didn’t see any of us in these days.” he said to which Caroline pouted, breaking the hug.

“Sarah, let him in,” Artemis said, on which finally they looked at each other again. Only Colton and Calvin had called her ‘Sarah’ in the whole family because when they were a kid, ‘Caroline’ name was hard to call, and the fact that her mate also was calling her with the same name made Colton narrow his eyes.

“Yes! Yes! I forgot. Come in.” Caroline said cheerfully, and Colton walked in, still not removing his eyes from Artemis.

“I know, I’m slightly late, but never mind. I’m Artemis, Sarah’s mate.” Artemis introduced himself, forwarding his hand for a handshake. Colton stared at his hand and didn’t shake his hand until Caroline hit him with her elbow.

“Colton Ethan Haysbert.” Colton finally spoke, shaking his hand.
