“I won’t comment on that part, not until Santino decides what he has to do with his baby. Without the result of the DNA test, One can say that Bobby is his son with his scent. That’s why I changed his scent last night itself, but still, Artemis sensed it, maybe because my spells don’t work for him.”

“Hmm. By the way, I can sense that someone is following us.” Colton said and looked around but didn’t replace the common face. He had this feeling from the moment he entered the Mall.

“Hold my body.” She muttered and started chanting her spell. In no moment, her soul was out of her body; while her body started falling, Colton carefully held it, bringing it close to him so that no one found that anything was wrong with her.

While Caroline’s soul started looking for someone who could be keeping an eye on them, and there she was, ERICA. She was clicking pictures of Caroline and Colton and how he had held her close to his chest.

‘I think she didn’t learn anything after getting defeated by me.’ Caroline mumbled. ‘What the hell is she planning now? Or Santino has sent her behind me?’

“Your cousin wants to meet you,” Lucca informed Santino, who was playing candy crush on his phone.

“You mean, Artemis?”

“Yes, the one and the only,” Lucca said in a style in which Santino glared at him.

“Do you think some audition is going here?” Santino growled at him. “I asked you to get all the information related to Caroline Sarah Haysbert, but you couldn’t replace a thing.”

“She had hidden everything about her. So, I…”

“Shut up!! Let Arti walk in.”

After a minute, “What brought you here, Cousin?”

“I have to talk with you about something important,” Artemis said in a serious tone and sat on the chair in front of him.

‘Did he come to know that I have asked Erica to keep an eye on his mate?’ Santino wondered but waited for him to speak.

“Lucca, I have to talk with my cousin in private. So, you can leave.” Artemis said when Lucca was not ready to move from there. Lucca looked at Santino, who signaled him to LEAVE. He knew his cousin; he wouldn’t have asked everyone to leave unless the topic was really very serious. “San, I came across a pup having a familiar scent that you have.”

Hearing this, Santino’s wolf became anxious.

‘And we both that a pup has a scent which is a mixture of their parents when they are young so that in case they get lost or something like that, other wolves can help them in reaching near their parents. So, I want to know, is there any chance that you can have a pup out there?” Artemis asked.

“Are you trying to dig my past, Arti?”

“Oh, please!! I’m not that free. It’s your way to dig this and dig out that. All I’m asking is that do you have a….”

“No,” Santino replied, cutting in between. “I don’t have any pup anywhere out there, so stop building assumptions. If I ever become a father, then I will let you know about that.”

“I found that pup in my Orphanage.” Hearing this, Santino’s wolf becomes more restless than ever.

‘Orphanage? Why is our pup in the Orphanage? Where is she then?’ His wolf asked, thinking about the mother of the pup. He wanted to meet that pup as soon as possible, but his human was thinking in another way. “Now that you’re claiming that you don’t have any pup anywhere, then I guess you won’t have any problem with me adopting him.”

‘Him? It’s a boy. We have a boy, San.’

Santino’s fist clenched after listening to his words. With this, Artemis left from there while Santino blocked his wolf, who was scolding him for not admitting that… that there could be a chance that pup could be HIS. Santino massaged his forehead recalling his words of two years back.

‘I don’t know why Moon Goddess paired me with a weak Omega but don’t do you ever think that I will accept you as my mate, but you’re welcome to become my mistress.’ A slap came across his face at the same time. That was the last day he had seen her.

It was not that he never looked for her after that, but she just disappeared without saying anything to him.

“You look stressed, Alpha.” Santino heard Lucca’s voice.

If you can handle the responsibility of Beta, then it’s fine; otherwise, I have to make Raul the Beta of the pack. Because I want someone who can work as Beta instead of poisoning my mind against my family member.”

“I’m sorry, Alpha.” Lucca apologized quickly. Hearing Santino’s words, he knew he had to get serious about work if he needed the Beta position because his good days were now going to end where all he had to do was gather information about people’s past and present. “I received a call from Erica stating that she sent you some proofs about that witch. She is enjoying her time with some man and a pup. I think she is her pup with another man because he has the same black hair as his mother.” He added.
