My Mate Is An Omega
Chapter 24

Caitlyn POV "Caitlyn?"

"Hmm?"

"You're so f*****g delicious."

If there was anything in the world better than morning s*x, I hadn't experienced it yet. At first, I would get shy whenever I was naked in front of Lance, but as he spread my legs to plant soft kisses on my inner thigh, I didn't feel exposed at all. I was his, and I was

more than willing to let him look at me, touch me, and please me as much as he liked. Although this was technically his reward for planning the perfect day for me, I had to admit I was enjoying it as much as he was.

After three intense o*****s, he seemed to have taken pity on my tired body; I hadn't even opened my eyes yet, and I was ready to go back to sleep. Ever since we marked each other, mating had become an entirely new experience. In addition to intensifying my emotions, the bond allowed me to feel exactly what he was feeling; not only did I feel the pleasure he was giving me, but I could also feel his satisfaction each time he thrusted inside of me. Every time he reached his climax, he took me to heaven too. And the way he had me shaking when he bit my mark... Goddess.

I gasped when I felt his lips gently brush against my clit, forcing me to open my eyes for the first time. The sight in front of me was something I would love to wake up to every day - my muscular warrior with his head between my legs, wearing his usual playful smile. "Sorry, beautiful. I just couldn't help myself." His expression told me he didn't feel sorry at all. It made me chuckle.

"It's okay. I'm just a little sensitive after... you know." I looked away shyly.

"After I f****d you through three o*****s?" The way he laughed let me know I had already turned red as a tomato. He finally stopped teasing my most sensitive area to climb on top of me as I laid with my back against the mattress. "I love how innocent you are. It's funny, because you have quite a dirty mouth when we're doing it."

I smiled as I looked into his eyes. They were slightly more golden than green right after he woke up. "I guess you can say I get a little drunk on you when you're working my body. I lose my filter." "Really?" There was amusement in his eyes. "It makes me wonder what you look like when you're actually drunk."

"That's not something you need to see." I scoffed, remembering something we talked about on the day we first met. "By the way, how did you know tequila was my favorite?"

"Well, I didn't until now."

"What?" I arched an eyebrow at him, genuinely confused. "When I was pouring you whiskey in Cedar's office, you said you were more of a tequila guy."

"Oh, that. It makes sense now." He chuckled, further confusing me. "You know how mates have unique scents only their destined partners can sense?" I nodded. "Your scent reminds me of tequila." "Oh, Goddess!" I pulled away in horror. "That sounds awful!"

"It isn't. It's sweet and loving, but also spicy and daring," he clarified, leaning closer as he ran his fingers through my hair. "It's perfect. Just like you." I closed my eyes when our lips finally touched. After a few seconds, he broke our contact, leaving me wanting more. "What do I smell like to you?"

I blinked a few times, thoughtfully. "You smell warm, terrine. Like a shelter."

He smiled, satisfied with my answer. "I'm glad my scent makes you feel safe."

After a few more minutes of kissing and cuddling, we eventually forced ourselves to get out of bed so we could fill our hungry stomachs. For the first time, he let me prepare the pancakes by myself while he linked our friends to figure out what they would be doing today. It was Sunday, which meant we were all free to hang out. As we sat at the small kitchen table, he informed me they had arranged to meet up at the game room located on the first floor of the pack house.

Once we were dressed and ready, we made our way towards the pack house where our friends were already waiting for us. Since it was quite early, most wolves were still sleeping or enjoying the nice weather outside. We had the entire game room to ourselves; it offered a number of recreational activities - pool, table tennis, air hockey, darts. It even had a small refrigerator filled with beers and other beverages, which were free for all pack members.

Since most of the game options we had were for two players only, my mate didn't mind sitting out; we agreed he could replace whoever lost first on either of the activities we decided to play. Sasha and Luke quickly started a ping pong match while Jasper and I played chess. I never had good reflexes, so I was all for intellectual games, although I wasn't expecting the ginger boy to be down for it - he definitely didn't seem like the kind of guy enjoyed strategizing and quick thinking.

"I still can't believe you didn't invite us to go with you!" the Gamma's daughter complained, still focused on knocking back every single one of the blonde man's balls. It was interesting to watch a ping pong match between two werewolves - they moved so fast, it was almost impossible for human eyes to understand what was happening. "I love Whistler! It's been a long time since my last trip there."

"You're feeling left out?" The Beta's son scoffed, as concentrated on the match as his friend. "I let them take my car, and I still wasn't invited!" As soon as he finished his sentence, a loud bang caught our attention. A huge grin lit up Luke's face while Sasha frowned. "Beat you."

"Checkmate," Jasper announced the second I got distracted with our friends. When I turned back to the chessboard, I widened my eyes in disbelief.

"What? How?" I don't think I had ever lost to anyone in a chess game before. At first, I thought he had cheated somehow, but I soon realized he had truly beaten me.

The stray just shrugged. "A good magician never reveals his secrets."

Before I could protest, Sasha joined Lance on the couch, followed by Luke. "Okay, let's take a quick break. I wanna see pictures!" she demanded cheerfully, leaning closer as my mate pulled out his phone. Soon enough, Jasper and I also joined them. A huge smile crossed my face as I looked at the memories we captured on the screen. I made sure to capture every minor detail of our trip, both because it was my first time there, and because I had no idea when we would be able to return; I wanted to make sure I would never forget a single minute of that day. My mate had put in a lot of effort to make sure it would be possible, overworking himself and selling something he loved so he could afford it. Although I was grateful for it, I didn't want him to go through so much just so I could have a nice day with my friend, especially because I truly treasured the moments we shared together in our new home.

"Dude, how the hell did you even afford this?" The ginger boy was shocked as he looked at the pictures. "Or did Caitlyn pay for everything with her assistant salary? Is she your Sugar Mommy now?"

I had to laugh. "No, it was all him." I stared into my mate's eyes, flashing him a thankful smile.

"Alright, so you win the lottery and take your mate on a thousand dollar trip instead of your friends? I've known you since we were pups!" Jasper put his hand over his chest dramatically. "It used to be the two strays against the world? Have you forgotten our past because of some girl?" I rolled my eyes at him, but smiled nonetheless.

"Even if I did take you, don't act like you wouldn't lose me the second the first girl approached you," my mate retorted.

"Bro, do you not know me at all?" He gasped, faking offense. "You know what I always say..." He turned to look, and they both exchanged mischievous grins before fistbumping each other as they said in unisson, "Bros before hoes!"

The Gamma's daughter shook her head in disapproval, looking at me soon after. "Ugh. You see what I'm saying? There's just too much testosterone in this group." She threw her arms around my neck, almost suffocating me as she hugged me tightly. "I know I've said it a thousand times, but I'm glad I'm not the only girl here anymore."

"Aw, I love you too." I laughed. "You know, I never thought I would have another girlfriend aside from Megan."

There was curiosity in her vivid blue eyes as she turned to me. "What's that friend of yours like? You two seem really close, yet you never talk much about her."

"She's amazing," I confessed. "I'm sure the two of you would get along pretty well."

For the next few minutes, I went on telling my three friends about my partner in crime - although she was usually the one committing all the crimes, and I was like, the witness. They also shared stories about how they all met, as well as the crazy adventures they had lived together. I loved how open they were with me, and how fast they accepted me into their group; I already felt like part of the family. After a while, we went back to playing games.

Our Sunday morning in the game room was lovely, and quite entertaining; we were having so much fun I didn't even notice the hours fly by. We were about to leave for lunch when I heard someone call my name. When I lifted my head up to look through the open door, I was surprised to replace a group of girls whose names I couldn't remember. I recognized them as some of the warriors who had recently joined training, but that was as much as I knew about them. My friends were just as confused as I was. "Caitlyn! There you are!" The brunette leading them smiled at me. "We have been looking for you everywhere!" "Oh, hi, uh..."

"Sorry, I don't think we've been properly introduced before!" She stretched her hand out to me. "I'm Natasha." "Nice to meet you." I smiled in response, trying to hide my confusion. "You said you wanted to see me? All of you?"

"Yeah..." She looked away shyly, fidgeting with her hands. "Is it true that you were the one who convinced Alpha Dario to allow women to participate in training?" "Well..."

"Yes!" Sasha replied excitedly.

"It's not really-" I tried to explain myself, but Natasha cut me off.

"That's so awesome! I was wondering if you could talk to him again... because you're his assistant and all, you know."

"About what?"

The way they were all staring at me was kind of overwhelming. "It's just... Beta James is an amazing instructor, but I think he can't see how we differ from men sometimes. Some of the moves he wants us to practice are quite hard for girls to execute, and it keeps us from improving." She turned to look at the other women behind her before her attention fell on me again. "We put some thought into it, and we think we could benefit from having a strong female leading training with James so he could train us better." "A strong female?" My eyes immediately fell on the Gamma's daughter, who was beaming. "Alright. I'll let Alpha Dario know and we'll try to come up with a solution." I smiled at them one last time.

"Thank you, Caitlyn! You're amazing!" I stiffened when she unexpectedly hugged me before heading out with the others. It took me a few minutes to process the whole interaction.

"What was that about?" Luke took a step forward, arching an eyebrow.

"Seems like she has a fan club," Jasper joked.

The next second, I felt my mate wrap his arms around my waist from behind. "I think you've officially become someone they feel safe talking to. You make them feel heard."

"The way they're voicing their concerns to you..." The Beta's son went on. "You're kinda like a pack representative for women."

"A pack representative?" I repeated thoughtfully.

"Well, the title doesn't matter," Sasha observed, still smiling. "The point is, despite being new around here, they already trust and respect you so much!"

"Yeah, I'm just afraid they might be setting their hopes too high." I sighed. "I mean, I'm just an Omega. The only reason why the Alpha heard me was because his Beta supported the idea. And he only did because he saw your potential, Sasha."

"Seriously? You're still trying to convince yourself you didn't have the slightest influence in Dario's decision?" The black-haired woman shook her head in disapproval. "At least they can see your potential. Anyway, I'll be happy to help James conduct a special training for women. "Really?!" My hazel eyes twinkled with hope.

"Sure. I mean, I don't know a lot about moves and techniques, but I guess I'm the most experienced female warrior in the pack." She shrugged.

"Awesome! I'll see if I can talk to the Alpha later today. Hopefully, he'll approve of the idea and we can implement it tomorrow."

"Bah! Now there's too much progesterone in this group." The ginger boy waved us off, making me laugh.

"You don't even know what that word means!" Sasha scoffed.

They kept arguing as they made their way towards the dining hall, followed by an unamused Luke. I tried to take my first step in their direction, but Lance held me back, pulling me into his arms. He brushed his nose against my neck, sending pleasant tingles up my spine. "You're so amazing, my mate," he whispered into my ear, almost making me melt. "You never cease to impress me."

The next morning, I was requested to monitor the training session. After I voiced the female warriors' concerns to the leader, he seemed quite understanding of the situation, although he had a few conditions. First, the Gamma's daughter would be merely an assistant; the Beta would still have the final say on how to conduct training. Second, I was supposed to watch and take notes so he could evaluate the improvements. Of course, I had no objections; helping the other women of the pack made me feel good, and I would do anything to to make sure they were heard.

"You're incredible, Cait." I heard Faye's voice inside my head as soon as we entered the gym. "You shouldn't put yourself down because of your position. You can still achieve great things despite being an Omega, and it's honorable that you choose to use your influence to help others."

"Thank you, Faye," I told her wholeheartedly. "For the first time, I'm actually starting to believe it."

"Good. You should."

Our brief conversation was interrupted by a tap on my shoulder. "You talked to James, right?" Sasha asked me.

My eyes widened. "What? I thought you were going to talk to him!"

"It's okay, don't freak out! I'll just tell him now," she reassured me.

As soon as the Beta walked into the gym, the black-haired girl approached him. I watched them anxiously, too nervous to even pay attention to what they were saying. Despite portraying himself as a serious, inflexible man, James had showed us his funny side a few times; I didn't think he would have any problems with the news. Still, we should have informed him beforehand.

The moment the man frowned, I froze. His next words were loud, making sure everyone could hear him. "And who says you have what it takes to be an instructor?"

The whole room went silent.
