Nine months too late: After divorce by Baby Charlene -
Chapter 67
Chapter 67 In the
evening, Sylvie and Westley were together in the terrace when she decided to make use of the opportunity.
She excused herself, headed to his room and began the search.
She checked his drawers, wardrobes, secret corners. Of course, she found files and other stuff, but none of them was implicating.
What could he possibly be planning against Kage? She needed to replace out without raising suspicions.
She was on her way out of the room when her phone rang in her back pocket. To her surprise, the caller was Kage.
She hesitated a little before picking up. "Hi
It was perplexing when he was silent. "Hello? Need something?"
"I need you to come outside." He sounded different
Her brows furrowed. "Outside? What're you...
"Tm outside his place. He dropped the call.
Surprise flickered across Sylvie's face. He was at Westley's place?
-She brushed her fingers through her hair. Oh, God. She wasn't sure she was ready to see him.
After leaving the hospital that morning. Kage had been unable to get Sylvie out of his mind. She seemed to be everywhere in his head her face, the relief she had on when she had seen him, and the happiness on her face when the doctor did the
scan.
Of course, Sylvie had always been beautiful - there was no doubt about that. But he'd been married to her for two years and it never really mattered.
But recently, it was as if there was something about her that burdened him. Something he needed to get straight.
He'd driven to her place alone. Of course, it wasn't easy convincing the guards not to tag along. As a matter of fact, a part of him felt they were secretly following him. But he wanted to do this alone.
He sat behind the steering, staring at Westley's gate. And when he saw the gate go open, he took in a deep breath.
She walked out in a jeans short and a black T-shirt. The bump wasn't visible, but he knew it was there behind the shirt. His babies were there.
Her hair was parked in a rough ponytail, dangling at her neck. Her eyes seemed to scan the place, and if he wasn't mistaken. she took a deep breath when she saw his car. Was she nervous? As nervous as he was? He stepped out of the car.
His chest tightened with anger at the thought of her being with Westley the whole time. The estate looked safe, his place seemed very comfortable and all, but he didn't like that Sylvie was there. However, it's been comforting to know Westley was on a wheelchair. Definitely, nothing funny could've happened.
"Hi, Kage," Sylvie dropped her eyes to the floor, getting to where he was.
Kage was wearing black pants and a black top, appearing really casual. Sylvie loved when he looked that way, more than when he appeared grumpily in his CEO suit.
Silence stretched between them. He should know what to say. There was a reason he called her out.
Sylvie, having her hands wrapped around her herself like she was cold, looked around nervously.
"You need to say something, Kage. Why did you call me out here? She broke the silence.
"Because I have a very important question to ask Kage was tempted to say.
"When are you coming home?" He asked instead.
Sylvie chuckled. "You drove all the way here to ask me that? You could've asked me over the phone, Kage!"
"Why? Am I interrupting your moment with Westley? You're so comfortable around him?"
"Can you stop making everything about

"That of
"Bean. that's the reason in a wheelchair, I guess ying to jeopardize my project."
1. And that's the reason he's in a do with the accident. Why won't you believe me?"

"Do
you really think I'm capable of such?"
I don't know, Kage. To be honest, I don't know anything"

"But I need to know something."
She wasn't looking at him, but something in his guts told him she was nervous.
"Sylvie... he cleared the lump in his throat "I need to ask you a question."
She still didn't look at him. Sylvie could hear her heart pounding heavily in her chest. It was so strong, she doubt she'd be able to herself above it.
"I was suppose to get married to Lana two weeks ago." He began. But something came up, and I had to postpone it." She tucked some strands of hair beneath her ear. How was it any of her business - she grumpily thought. "But within the week, Lana and I are supposed to get married. And this time, it's final"
She finally looked at him, trying to conceal the anger simmering within. Why was she even feeling angry?
"Okay?
So, what do you want me to say, happy married life! Or are you here to give me an invite?" Her voice was sharp.
"Well," he slid his hands into his pockets, "I just came to tell you, Sylvie. I felt you should know. But both of us, we'll remain good parents in this whole... co-parenting thing. You know that, right?"
There was a storm brewing in Sylvie's head. She glared at him, recalling how she'd been the one that was previously married to bim.
All thanks to his grandfather-yes- but she sued to be his wife.
The guy has always been njerk to her all the way from highschool. She should be happy now that they w 'was happy. Unless that was a lie.
"Goodnight, Kage. She turned away, her voice harder than stones.
"Do you really want it to happen?" Kage asked aloud, halting her
