Just as Jessica entered the office, Darcy called her over.

"Jessica, there's a party tonight and you're supposed to be there withMr. Williams."

Jessica only heard this one sentence and did not hear much of whatDarcy said later. She was just a small employee within the WilliamsGroup, helping Oliver, and had never shown her face in public with him.If someone else found out about their relationship in the future, itwould not be good for anyone. She had already thought about it, andshe decided to leave as soon as possible, not to cause any moretrouble.

"Darcy, I don't have much experience. I'm afraid that if I get him introuble, I will be killed.” Jessica wanted Darcy to replace someone else, andall she could think of was this stupid excuse.

"I've already spoken to Mr. Williams. That's settled.”

Jessica returned to her seat. After thinking about it, She decided to goto talk to Oliver.

Jessica entered the President's Office and asked directly, "Are you goingto a business party tonight?"

"What? Do I have to report my whereabouts to you?" Oliver askedfaintly.

"Mr. Williams, this is the workplace. I'm talking to you about work."Only then did Oliver raise his eyelids and look at Jessica. "Go ahead.”"It's not appropriate for me to go with you.”

"And then?"

"Mr. Williams, please change the person.”

Oliver held the pen in his hand and twirled it around with interest."Then who would be more suitable?"

Jessica thought of Jasmine’s admiration for Oliver in the morning, whichwas beyond words. "How about Jasmine? Mr. Williams, who do youwant? I can ask them for you.”

Oliver sneered. "What? Do you feel bad coming with me?”

"No. It's just that it's good for both of us.”

"Why?"

"If 1 go out with you, there are too many people surrounding us. Afterwe separate in the future, if someone asks, it doesn't seem to be goodfor you"

"Do you think I married you because I care what others think?" Therewas a clear alienation in Oliver's indifferent voice.

Jessica thought to herself, "Isn't it? It was clear that when we werehaving dinner at the Williams Family's old residence, the WilliamsFamily was afraid that because of him, the reputation of the WilliamsFamily would be affected.

Oliver continued, "It's the same for me whether I get married or not. Itjust so happens that someone wants to arrange a woman for me. I justaccepted.”

Jessica's face was red with anger. She almost forgot why she came intothe office.

"Sit down." Oliver motioned for Jessica to sit on the sofa next to him.As soon as Jessica sat on the sofa, Oliver got up and walked over. Theman was tall and straight, standing in front of Jessica. He had just bentdown and approached her as if a feeling of being pressed came overher. "What do you want?" She unconsciously moved back.

After Jessica finished speaking, she saw Oliver pick up a long hair onher shoulder.

She wore her hair in a bun in the company. First, it would make her lookprofessional, and second, she knew that Oliver was a neat freak. As asecretary, she would often come and go to his office. If she didn't payattention and lose her hair, that would make him unhappy. So shenaturally carefully avoided these to happen.

She didn't expect that the man could even catch a single strand of hairon her black shirt. That was really creepy.

Oliver seemed to see through her mind with his deep eyes. "What doyou think I want to do?”

Jessica blushed and knew she was wrong. She lowered her eyes inembarrassment and did not dare to look at the man again.

"This is the guest information you are going to see at night. You have tofamiliarize yourself with it quickly and report it to me. In addition, change your widow outfit and buy an evening dress.”

She was only dressed in black, but he actually said that she was wearinga widow's dress.

“So stupid. If I'm a widow, he should be dead. Is he cursing himself?"Oliver had arranged for this, and she could no longer persuade him tolet someone else attend the evening's event.

It was almost time to get off work. Jessica told Oliver her plan and wentto the nearby shopping mall to buy clothes in advance.

She wanted to take the lift straight upstairs to buy a dress randomly ina slightly brighter color but stopped on the first floor. She stood infront of a shop and gazed at the dark green dress inside. She reallyadored it.

Jessica entered the store and looked for the price tag. Before shetouched the clothes, the shop assistant stopped her.

"Miss, if you don't buy it, don't touch it."

Jessica glanced at the shop assistant standing beside the cashier, andthen at her cheap clothes. She didn't expect the shop assistant could beable to tell at a glance that she was not the target customer.

She didn't want to ask for a snub, so she left the store directly. As soonas she reached the door, she met Alice who was about to come in."Oh, Jessica! What a coincidence to meet you here.”

"Hello, Miss Zamani."

"Are you leaving now? I see you still get anything.”

"I'll just take a look. And I have to go.”

"Well, Miss White, could you please do me a favor? I want to buy anevening dress for tonight's party. Could you help me choose one?"

In Oliver's stack of documents, Jessica saw that Aaron, therepresentative of the Zamani, would attend tonight's event. She neverthought that Alice would go too.

She didn't like Alice and they didn't get along well. But the WilliamsGroup had always worked closely with the Zamani Group, especially aspeople from both sides were meeting this evening as well. Since Alicehad asked for her help, she would take the time to help Alice out, justby helping to choose the dress.

At this time, the shop assistant saw Alice and greeted her warmly. "MissZamani, welcome. Come and see some of the high-end dresses. Wouldyou like to try them on?"

The shop assistant pointed to the dark green dress hanging in thewindow.

"It looks good. Jessica, what do you think?"

The shop assistant said immediately, "This lady has been looking at thisdress for a long time. She likes it very much.”

"l will try." Alice stood up and said to Jessica on the sofa, "Jessica, youcan also try it."

"I don't need it. Miss Zamani, you'd better choose your own clothesquickly.”

Jessica knew that she couldn't afford any clothes here, so she rejectedthem.

After a while, the shop assistant came over. "Miss, Miss Zamani askedyou to go to the fitting room and let you take a look.”

Jessica put her phone in her butt pocket and hesitated a little beforeentering. "I think I've to use the lady room first. Could you let her waitfor a minute?”

Jessica came out from the bathroom soon.

Alice was asking the shop assistant, "Is she here?"

Jessica knocked on the door. "Miss Zamani, please come out so that Ican give you some advice."

"Jessica, come in first."
