My Toyboy 310
Chapter 310
Lilian lay back down, looking at Cynthia with big, innocent eyes like a puppy. If it had been before, Cynthia would have thought she was just pretending again. But now, seeing her in such a state made her heart ache deeply. "Lilian, what else do you want to say?"
"How is my child?" Lilian's lips were still stained with blood, appearing particularly red.
Cynthia spoke up. "He's fine; he can cat and sleep well and is quite healthy, just a bit smaller than a typical full-term baby" Lilian seemed to let out a sigh of relief.
Lilian said, "Cynthia, I was wrong, really wrong. If I had another chance, I would never treat you that way again. Could you please forgive me?
Cynthia said, "Can we talk about this later, please?
Lilian shook her head. Tm dying, I know I'm close to death. I can neither be with you nor see you happy with someone else. This, for me, is also a kind of relief. Cynthia, I won't bother you anymore."
Cynthia looked at the flashing red lights on the nearby monitor alarm bells ringing. Anxiety surged within her as she said. "Lilian, don't say that! You're not going to die. Just hold on; we cm sort out our grievances later."
Lilian coughed hard, spitting up blood again. She held Cynthia's hand tightly, and Cynthia didn't dare to pull away, afraid of hurting her more.
"It's too late, Cynthia. I've made too many mistakes in my life. Since I'm about to die, no matter what I've done, please forgive me, alright?" Lilian pleaded.
As Cynthia gazed at Lilian's pale face, she could no longer hold back her emotions. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she cried, "I forgive you, Lilian! No matter what you've done, I forgive you Just let me go, and I'll call the doctor for you." Lilian seemed to release a heavy sigh, her head sinking deeply into the soft pillow.
The light-in her eyes appeared to dim slowly, and her voice grew faint. "Please... take good care of the child for me. No matter what you replace out in the future, don't hate him, don't resent him. He's innocent... I regret everything..." Cynthia felt deeply hurt by Lilian's look. "Lilian, don't say that. I promise you, I promise I'll do anything you ask. Just let go of me, please, let go!"
Lilian slowly closed her eyes, her voice was barely a whisper. "Cynthia, meeting you was the luckiest thing in my life, but meeting me was a disaster for you. I'm sorry... I'm so sorry...
"I don't want to hear any more. Just focus on getting better first. We can talk about everything else later." Cynthia assured her.
Lilian started coughing violently, blood spilling from her mouth. The pillow turned bright red. When she finally collapsed back down, she let go of Cynthia's hand.
"Cynthia, I want to see that child... Her voice was almost inaudible, barely forming a complete word.
But Cynthia understood her perfectly.
Cynthia, having been released from Lilian's grip, immediately pressed the button on the wall. The doctors and nurses arrived quickly. After a thorough examination, they found that the situation had deteriorated to an extreme degree. Lilian's organs were failing, and her vital signs were extremely weak. It seemed like Lilian had slipped into unconsciousness again. The doctors started another round of desperate attempts to save her. 07:44 Tue, Nov 19

Cynthia rushed out of the room. Filip also sensed something was wrong. His vacant gaze suddenly sharpened. He leaned against the window of the emergency room, staring intently at the chaos inside. Cynthia headed straight to the neonatal unit and carried the baly out. Tears streamed down her face the entire way.
She didn't realize she could cry so much. Perhaps deep down, she knew that Lilian really wouldn't survive. Suddenly, everything became clear to her.
Lilian had just said so much and shed so many tears. She appeared so alive, but in reality, it was just a fleeting moment. Regardless, she had to see the child at least once.
But when Cynthia arrived at the rescue room door, just as she was holding the child, the door swung open.
Filip rushed forward, asking. "How is Lilian?"
The doctor had a serious expression. After a long pause, the doctor said, "Mr. Yates, please accept my condolences
Cynthia stood there in a daze. The child seemed to sense something, suddenly crying out loud. It felt as if something had pierced through her heart, burning a hole in it.
She was surprised by how sad she felt. Standing there in a daze, all she could see was a blur of white before her eyes. In the end, she still rushed inside.
All the machines had stopped functioning. The heart monitor displayed a flat line. A group of nurses stood nearby. dismantling the equipment from her body, their expressions solemn.
Lilian lay quietly in the hospital bed, as though she were just asleep. But her face was terrifyingly pale, like a sheet of paper. The baby was still crying in Cynthia's arms. Cynthia walked over to the bed, carefully placing the baby beside Lilian Then she said, "Lilian, this is your baby. Please, open your eyes, just look at her, okay?"
There was no response.
Jonathan entered the room. Seeing the look on Cynthia's face, his heart hurt deeply as well, but he decided not to disturb her.
The child sleeping next to Lilian reached out a small arm. In an unusual turn, he touched Lilian's hair and surprisingly stopped crying. He merely grasped her hair with curiosity.
"Lilian, I forgive you, I really do. Just wake up, and you'll still be my best friend." Tears streamed down Cynthia's cheeks. Cynthia couldn't understand why she felt so heartbroken. She had hated her so much. Lilian had done so many things to hurt her, nearly destroying her and dragging her down into the muck.
But those moments spent together in our youth-the classes we attended, lying on the playground watching the stars, skipping class to sneak into a celebrity's concert, being punished to run six miles.
Encouraging each other during the most anxious days of the college entrance exam, celebrating together after getting into the same school, dreaming of the future, and promising to be lifelong friends, even living in the same nursing home when we grow old-these memories remain.
They had once walked together through the blossoming and rainy seasons of their youth. At this moment, Cynthia could think of nothing else; all that filled her mind were the beautiful memories they had shared in the past.
Cynthia kept talking to Lilian, reminiscing about the past. As she spoke, she laughed, and then the laughter turned into tears. She wished that when she turned back to look again, Lilian would have her eyes open just like before.
But that was no longer possible. Lilian lay there quietly, without a sound.

Cynthia spoke for a long time before finally falling silent. She sat in the chair, holding Lilian's cold hand, her voice low and slightly choked with emotion, "Lilian, I want to eat the fish cake
