Natalie slid her chair toward the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing at the morning light outside, which was bright and captivating. The whole city was bathed in a warm hue. Apart from a cold demeanor, Natalie showed no other emotions.

Jennifer was also set to compete in the designer competition. But Natalie wouldn't take part in it. She smirked, planning to leave Jennifer completely stunned when the time came.

Natalie had no time to feel upset. It wasn't worth it to be sad over someone like Jason. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. When she opened them again, her clear gaze held determination.

She needed to work hard to grow and to stand against Easton and the man backing Jennifer. She pulled out her tablet and checked the latest financial reports, focusing seriously.

Downstairs, Jason thought about his earlier impulsiveness, realizing it was because Jennifer came home crying, feeling wronged by Natalie, which prompted him to confront her.

Now, looking back, unease gnawed at his heart. Natalie was also his sister, who was deliberately thrown away by someone at birth, and that person still hadn't been found.

Jason found Natalie had a saying that was very true at that time, she was just a baby and couldn't choose, but growing up like that wasn't an excuse for her to hurt others. He stormed back home, angry. Wendy happened to return home from work, looking totally exhausted.

Jennifer saw Jason return and was happy. "Jason, you rushed out so quickly earlier. Where did you go?"

Jason looked at her tear-streaked face and felt a pang of heartache. "I went to teach Natalie a lesson. I tore up all her design sketches. Who does she think she is, trying to do art? A bumpkin like her, really?"

A quick flash of a smile crossed Jennifer's eyes, but she then looked at him nervously. "Jason, how could you do that? I know you're looking out for me, but those designs were Natalie's hard work. We need to respect every designer. If I had known you were going to do that, I would've stopped you. Doing this will only make Natalie hate me more, and she'll come after me even more often in the future," Jennifer looked genuinely worried.

"Jennifer, don't worry. I'm here. She won't dare do anything to you. You seem tired, why don't you go upstairs and rest?"

Jennifer nodded obediently and went upstairs to rest. Inside, she felt even happier. After coming back from Easton's house, she ran into Jason who was about to head out.

She casually mentioned that she had gone to see Easton in the morning and saw Natalie clinging to him, which had made her cry with frustration. Then Jason hurried off to confront Natalie. She did it on purpose to make Jason bully Natalie.

Jennifer had also studied design and thought it was the perfect opportunity to compete with Natalie. She vowed to crush Natalie under her feet, so Easton would realize that she was his one true love.

She casually greeted Wendy before heading upstairs to rest. She found out secretly that the company had some problems, but they weren't too serious. She found Wendy's tired face annoying.

Wendy stood up and looked at Jason with a serious expression. "Come with me, I have something to tell you."

-Jason looked at Wendy's serious expression and remembered what she said last time. He felt uneasy inside, wondering if her change was due to the company's problems or if she had been neglecting Jennifer. He followed her outside and walked to the nearby park. The park was bustling with people in the morning, and the air was especially fresh. The music in the plaza was deafening. There were people dancing and playing, making the place very lively.

The autumn breeze was quite cool, and as Jason faced it, his mood improved a bit. He smiled and said, "Mom, are you taking me for a walk in the park?"

"No! Did you tell Natalie not to enter the competition, and tear up her designs?" Wendy stopped at a secluded cold. "How can you be so sure she'll participate in the competition?"

"Yes. This morning, Jennifer came back crying because Natalie bullied her," Jason admitted candidly. He did cause trouble for Natalie. After speaking, he looked at the sycamore trees in the nearby park, where a leaf would occasionally fall. Wendy knew that no matter what she said now, Jason's stubborn nature wouldn't let him believe her.

She took out a stock transfer document and said, "You own five percent of the company's shares. Transfer them to me. Someone's secretly buying shares. I can't lose my position as chairwoman."

Jason was stunned as he looked at the stock transfer document Wendy handed over, confused. "Mom, is the company really in such bad condition? Maybe I should ask my brother to come back and help run the company with you."

"There's no need. He's just infatuated with romance, and you're completely useless. What help can you offer me?" Wendy's eyes reddened.

Jason was shocked by Wendy's cold words, "Mom, how can you talk about us like that?"

"Enough talk. Are you going to give me the shares or not?" Wendy looked at him deeply, seeing the hesitation in his eyes, and she felt her heart sink.

"Mom, you know my company isn't making any money, and my monthly allowance comes from the company's dividends. If give you my shares, I won't have any spending money each month," Jason wasn't against it. He just had his own problems. His passion for car racing was money-consuming.

"But if my company went under, I wouldn't have money to give you. If you're not willing, I'll look for other solutions," Wendy found Jason was as selfish as Nick. Although they were her sons, if they were too selfish, she would decide to let them go. She had to protect the lifetime of efforts her parents put in. Wendy left in tears. Her dad still had money, and she would secretly have him buy up other shareholders' stocks, never letting Jennifer succeed. With her behind-the-scenes maneuvering, it wasn't too hard. She was only worried about Jason's shares falling into Jennifer's hands. Jason watched Wendy's slender frame fading away, feeling uneasy inside. He loved car racing. He had done nothing to help Wendy all these years. "Mom," he ran over. "Mom, it's not that I am unwilling to give it to you. I just want to have some money for living expenses."

Wendy, enraged, took out her phone and played a recording for him. It was a conversation between Nick and Jennifer at the hospital.

After listening, Jason was initially taken aback. Seeing Wendy's eyes red with anger, he felt nothing but sorrow. He thought Wendy had changed. He laughed bitterly, "Mom, I know you want to get the shares from me. But how could you do this?

"Why are Dad and Jennifer treating me like this? I've always been good to them," He simply couldn't believe it. The sister he had spoiled since childhood would never do this to him.

Jennifer had been kind-hearted since she was young, and Nick always cared for them. No matter what they did, Nick would always be there to support them. He thought Wendy was the most against his car racing. So the recording must be fake to stop him from racing.
