Chapter 216

Easton glanced at Jennifer with a cold smirk, "The deal is you get rid of those illegitimate kids of yours. Send that interfering mistress and your other women abroad. Do all that, and I'll marry Jennifer." William was stunned. It took him a while to process what he heard, and then he yelled in anger, "Easton, you heartless jerk! How dare you say something like that?" Easton chuckled, a deeper meaning behind his smile, simply watching him rage with calm.

Easton thought, 'Now he shows his temper? It's no use crying over spilled milk. William has always wanted me dead, and all I ever feel for William is pure hate!' At that moment, Jennifer felt like a bucket of ice water had completely doused her excitement, leaving her chilled to the

core.

"Easton, what do you mean by that?" Her heart tightened as she looked at Easton, her eyes red with grievance. Easton turned out to be totally unreliable to her.

Easton looked at her with a distant expression. "Ms. Simpson, do you remember what I told you? My grandfather will never let you into the Garcia family. Even if I divorce Natalie, I won't marry you." "Since this is a marriage alliance, it should have some value, right?" After Easton finished speaking, he stood up and left. The coldness in his voice left Jennifer feeling chilled to the bone.

She was of no value, and the Simpson family was also insignificant-Easton didn't think highly of her. She had always known this, but she couldn't accept it.

Jennifer's eyes were red with anger. It was those two old bastards from the Spencer family who didn't allow her to marry Easton back then.

She was so mad that she made up a reason to go overseas, hoping Easton would feel guilty. He did, but he was never as nice to her as he used to be. "William, what should we do now? Easton..." William said angrily, "What should we do? You're just a failure. I once made sure you owed a debt of gratitude so Easton would be completely dedicated to you.

"If he married you, many things would succeed naturally, but look at the foolish things you've done!

"You can't even outsmart someone like Natalie? She's blocking your way, and there are plenty of ways to deal with her. Don't let her grow stronger, or she will be even harder to handle in the future." Jennifer bowed her head and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, William. I don't know how it happened, but suddenly, Natalie became very powerful."

"Natalie is just a wild girl from a poor village. How powerful can she be? I don't care what you have to do, but you must replace a way to marry Easton. It's the only way our plan can work." William stood up and walked out. Natalie had just come back from the bathroom when she overheard their conversation. Hearing footsteps, her heart skipped a beat, and she quickly turned around to hide in the other passage.

Natalie's expression was grim. She knew William didn't like Easton, and he liked her even less.

She thought, 'But why is William working with Jennifer and plotting against me? He even gave Jennifer credit for saving Easton's life back then. What are they planning together? Why is Jennifer so insistent on marrying Easton?' A father plotting to kill his own son wasn't surprising when it came to William. He was always ruthless, with countless affairs and many illegitimate children.

Suddenly, something crossed Natalie's mind. There was another possibility-everything Easton was doing was paving th way for his illegitimate children.

She remembered Easton's mother mentioning that William had childhood sweetheart.

But back then, the Garcia family faced financial problems, which led to the arranged marriage with Easton's mother, Charlotte.

After overcoming the crisis, he abandoned his wife and child, lived as if married to his childhood sweetheart, and rarely came home. Natalie thought, 'But who is this woman?"

It looked like she need to replace a chance to meet Charlotte. She remembered that Easton's young sweetheart was a few years younger than him. After they got married, he even organized a grand proposal ceremony for her. William was truly terrifying. He had taken over everything from Easton's grandmother's family and still sat calmly across from Easton, eating.

He was aware that the relationship between him and Easton was beyond repair. In such a situation, there was only one reason: abandoning Easton, allowing the illegitimate child from outside to take over the García Group. But as long as Vernon was alive, there was no chance for the illegitimate child to gain power. All of Vernon's shares were given to Easton. Vernon was wise; he knew that holding onto the shares would have led to his demise countless times already.

Natalie shook her head, thinking Easton was pretty unlucky. She felt she was even more unfortunate.

After Natalie finished eating, she went back to say goodbye to Murray, who was planning to go out to a bar with friends later that evening. "Natalie, come to the bar with me. All my friends want to meet you." Murray said, looking at Natalie with expectant and charming eyes.

Natalie waved her hand, saying she needed to return to working on her designs, "I can't go with you. I don't like bars and I have work to do. Go enjoy yourself."

"Oh come on! We're the same age, this is the time to have fun. Why make yourself so tired? Relax a bit." Murray was insistent; he loved going to bars at night.

Going home just meant playing video games, and that was not very exciting.

Natalie still refused, feeling a bit confused at the moment.

"Alright then, I'll go by myself. Be careful on your way back." Murray grabbed his coat and went downstairs with her. When they reached the lobby, Natalie's phone rang. She saw it was Lambert and answered the video call. "Grandpa, have you had dinner yet?" Natalie asked with a smile.

"Yes, yes, I've just eaten. The sea cucumber here is really good, and I love it. I'll bring some back for you." He chuckled warmly.

-Natalie beamed happily. "Grandpa, have a great time while you're out."

"Oh! Who's that handsome young man I see with you?" Lambert's voice was lively and a bit high-pitched.

Natalie turned the camera toward Murray, not wanting Lambert to get

the wrong

idea.

She chuckled. "Grandpa, you know him. It's Murray. He took me out for dinner tonight; I'm still out. Don't overthink it." 10:37 Mon, Dec 9 GOO

Lambert clapped his hands excitedly, his smile reaching from car to ear. "Natalie, Murray is also quite handsome! You did a fantastic job, finally overshadowing that sly devil Easton. If you like this Murray, spend more time with him. Murray grinned widely, thinking how adorable Lambert was. He really loved this delightful old gentleman.

"Hello, Grandpa, I'm Murray," he greeted in a formal manner.

"Murray! Hello! I know your grandma, and she's quite an extraordinary person." Lambert beamed with joy.

Murray felt a bit proud. That was true. His grandma was once a famous young lady, talented in all arts and a swimming champion back in the day.

Lambert chimed in, "Alright, you kids go on your date, I'm off to have some fun!" Then, he hung up.

Natalie rubbed her forehead, thinking about how mischievous Lambert could be.
