REBORN UNDER THE FULL MOON -
Chapter 76: The Burden of Truth
"KYLE'S POV
"I can't have the love of my life hating me. I can't watch that happen," I repeated. "We can't tell her," I said to them.
"But.."
"No we can't tell her and if anyone is going to tell her, it is going to be me." I said.
Call me selfish but there is no way I will allow the woman I love walk out of my life due to circumstances that is not my fault that I cannot control. Never! I love Lyra too much to let her walk away and hate me, I can't let that happen. "Yes, that's what we will do. We will keep quiet and when you are ready to tell her, you will Kyle," Aria said.
"Are you guys sure?" Merida asked looking skeptical.
"Yes, it will be better that way, I will tell her after our mating ceremony" I said to them.
"You will tell who what?" Lyra said as she came to meet us and I froze.
"It.. he wants to.. he was going to.."
"It is a surprise," I said quickly.
"Hmm really?" she said as she walked towards me.
"Yes, it is a surprise," I smiled at her.
"Okay then, tell me what the surprise is about?" she batted her lashes at me.
"No baby that's not going to work," I laughed.
She turned to look at Aria and Merida who looked at her with guilty eyes.
"Are you guys going to tell me? I will buy your favorite designer bag," she smiled at them.
"We really can't tell you, Kyle is the only one that can tell you," Aria smiled at her with teary eyes.
"Aria are you fine?" she asked worriedly as she held Aria.
"Yes, I am fine. I have just been feeling extremely emotional lately," Aria said as tears rolled down her eyes.
I felt guilty but I couldn't do a think, heck even I felt like crying to. I didn't think I will ever be able to tell her and that bothered me.
"I think she is stressed out and overwhelmed. She needs to rest," I said to Lyra who offered to take her to her room.
That night I stayed awake, I couldn't sleep because every time I closed my eyes, I saw Lyra leaving me because of what I didn't tell her. I felt burdened and there was nothing I could do about it.
I haven't seen Kiera for a while and I think about her my blood run cold, what could she be plotting? Is it possible that she knows my secret? Will she try to tell Lyra? But she was the only person missing. Did he kidnap her? I need to see Kiera. "Kyle, come on you have been on your bed all morning. It's mid-afternoon already." Lyra said to me as she tried to get me out of the bed.
"I'm tired. I want to sleep," I whined like a child.
"You need to get up. Your fitting is today!" Lyra said and I got off the bed immediately.
The sooner I married her, the quicker I could tell her about the incident. I could tell her now but what was the guarantee that she wouldn't leave me. I know she can also leave me after I tell her but I need to mark her as mine first. Hopefully our wolves will bond and imprint on each other quickly and when I tell her she will forgive because her wolf is already intertwined with mine.
I hope I forgive myself too.
"I think the pants is a little bit too tight," I said to the designer.
"We can get it corrected." The designer said to me.
"Okay then, I will come back for it." I said.
"Where are you taking me to?" I asked Lyra as she led me blindfolded.
"You'll see. It is a surprise," she said as she continued to lead me.
"I really don't like surprises, can you give me a little hint on where I am being led to?" I asked her as we continued walking.
"No baby," she laughed.
"You've been looking stressed for a while and I decided to try and relief that stress. Welcome to your bachelor's party," she smiled at me.
I looked around and I was surprised to see everyone there.
"When was this planned?" I asked her as I hugged her.
"Don't think you are the only one that knows how to plan a surprise," she winked at me.
"The surprise I have for you will leave you speechless," I winked at her.
"I'd love to see the surprise," she kissed my forehead.
That night we partied hard. For a minute I forgot about my problems and I thought everything was fine but I was very wrong because my father was on the loose and I didn't know where he has gone to. "Let's take a picture," Aria said her words slurred.
"No, we are too drunk to be taking pictures," Merida said as she staggered.
"We can still take pictures," Aria pouted.
"No we can't," Merida laughed.
"Alright enough, I am taking both of you to bed." Lyra said as she led the out of the party.
"No, you are not. We are not children and I am still in the mood to party. I have a lot of rough day you know," Aria said.
"I am ready to sleep so I will follow you," Merida smiled lazily.
Lyra turned to look at me and she shook her head.
"Do you need an extra hand dealing with these two?" I asked her.
"No, stay here and enjoy the party. I will take them back it is nothing I can't handle," she said to me.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Yes, I am," she nodded.
As soon as she left, I suddenly started feeling watched I looked around to see who was staring at me but I found no one. I could not ignore the feeling and I decided to go back to the pack house.
