Chapter 102

Harry could manipulate everyone, but he never imagined that someone would surpass his schemes and become an exception in his life. The words he hesitated to say twice ultimately came out too late.

As Asher said, Julia's personality was indeed peculiar. Once she made up her mind, it was hard to change it. In her heart, she had already decided that Harry and Arya were together, so nothing Harry said could change her perception. Even if one day Harry told her that he and Arya were not a coupe, that he never loved Arya, Julia wouldn't believe him.

It was a week later when Harry and Julia saw each other again. It was Donald's fiftieth birthday.

If it weren't for Donald's birthday, Julia wouldn't have known when she would see Harry again. She didn't answer his call the last time he tried, and he hadn't called since. Therefore, Julia understood that in Harry's heart, she was insignificant. Donald's birthday party was held at a hotel under

the Wright Group. Due to Julia's and Harry's relationship, the attendees were all dignitaries from Cromont City, Julia arrived at the hotel at nine in the morning to help. She couldn't help but smile as she watched Donald entertain these guests with flattery and arrogance. Donald seemed oblivious to the fact that these people were there for the Wright family, not for him. With a glass in hand, he talked endlessly with the guests. Meanwhile, Freya dressed elegantly and guided Cecilia through the crowd, displaying the grace of their hostess. Se Because she had the title of "Mrs. Wright, people approached her to chat. She was not skilled in socializing. So, she would smile and exchange a few words before they moved on to someone else.

Consequently, everyone thought Julia seemed too aloof compared to Cecilia. With her sweet appearance, Cecilia easily attracted many men's attention and engaged in conversations with everyone. She quickly became the target of men at the

event

Julia finally understood. Under the guise of a birthday celebration, they were probably looking for a wealthy suitor among the attendees for Cecilia

Seeing Julia sitting alone, and Harry not showing up, Donald approached her and asked, "Why hasn't Harry arrived yet?"

"I already told Harry. Don't you know if he's coming or not? Why didn't you inform Harry Wright about this?" Julia's words were always sharp whenever she talked to Donald, making him extremely uncomfortable.

Donald glared at Julia. "I don't want to argue with you in this situation. Just call Harry and ask where he is.

Julia chuckled coldly and said, "Ask him yourself"

Donald suppressed his anger. "Is this the way you talk to me?"

Julia was amused and said, "Then, how would you like me to talk to you?" She paused, wanting to infuriate Donald event more. She continued, "I'm already here today. That's good enough."

As expected, Donald's face contorted in anger. He glared at Julia before turning away to avoid further embarrassment. Watching Donald walk away, Julia remained unfazed. Instead, Cecilia, who had witnessed the entire exchange, swayed over to Julia with what she thought was a graceful movement. Thinking she was a princess, she looked at her disdainfully. "Julia, you need to stop being arrogant."

"Am I being arrogant? Why don't you mind your own business? The daughter of a mistress." Julia didn't even bother to lift her head, her words causing Cecilia to stomp her foot in anger.

Cecilia was on the verge of grabbing Julia's hair, angrily saying. "Who are you calling the daughter of a mistress?"

"Whoever is talking to me. It's obviously you. Are you dumb? Seems like you're truly dimwitted" Julia didn't hold back her words, leaving Cecilia with an angry face. Cecilia glared at Julia. "Watch your mouth."

Julia chuckled. "The daughter of a mistress dares to tell me to watch my mouth? When your mother shamelessly climbed into my father's bed, did she watch her mouth?"

When it came to a battle of words, Cecilia was no match for Juli Soon enough, Cecilia retreated.

If Julia wanted to make someone feel uncomfortable, she could easily say things that left them speechless. She looked coldly at Cecilia.

Cecilia, dressed like a flashy butterfly, didn't even catch Julia's eye

Luckily, at that moment, Harry walked in through the door. Cecilia immediately suppressed the ferocious expression Julia had provoked and put on a smile. She rushed over to stand in front of Harry. She called out softly. "Harry"

Julia glanced up briefly at Harry, her attitude neither warm nor cold. Harry nodded at Cecilia and then walked over to Julia. seemingly unaffected by a week of no contact.

"Didn't tell you to wait for me, Harry said.

"Why would I wait for you?" Julia smiled in response.

Harry was taken aback by Julia's directness. For a moment, he was at a loss for words. "Are you always going to talk to me with this attitude?"

Julia continued to smile. "Do you think there's something wrong with my attitude?"

Frowning, Harry said, Julia; I called you."

Yeah, he called once. She intentionally didn't answer, so he didn't call again. And then, there was no contact for a week. During that time, she didn't know Harry's whereabouts, but she knew he was probably with Arya. So, what did that have to do with her? She looked at Harry in puzzlement. "Really? I didn't notice. I forgot."

Harry felt a twinge of irritation at Julia's attitude, "I came here today because I knew you'd be here."

"Oh, my dad thought you came for him. If he knew the truth, he probably be upset. His proud son-in-

law isn't here for him. Look around, almost everyone here is here for your family's fame. Julia's tone was calm, almost as if she were discussing whether she was upset or not.

Harry lowered his voice. "I know you're angry...

Before Harry could finish his sentence, Julia quickly interrupted. You're wrong. I'm not upset. Why would I be angry? I don't even know why I would be angry. Why don't you tell me why?" Julia spoke slowly, her demeanor calm, as if she were genuinely discussing the topic of whether she was upset or not with Harry.

Seeing Harry's arrival, Donald temporarily let go of the matter with Julia and approached Harry with a smile. "Harry, you finally made it."

Seeing Donald approaching. Harry couldn't continue his discussion with Julia and had no choice but to let it go for now.

"Harry, come with me. Let me introduce you to some people." Donald directly took Harry away, leaving Julia alone again, enjoying the tranquility.
