Refusing To Divorce (Julia and Harry) -
Refusing 152
Chapter 152
Julia had always firmly believed that Harry definitely did not like such a passionate hug and he also did not like others to act too intimately with him. Therefore, Julia had acted accordingly to that. She would only show intimacy with Harry if forced to do so.
Back at home, Harry went into the study room. Julia pondered for a while at the door of the study room. She guessed that Harry must be busy with work and felt that it was better for her not to go in and disturb him.
After all, in order to accompany her in Willow City, Harry must have a lot of things to do now. As a considerate wife, Julia thought that she was being perfect by not causing trouble when he was busy.
The door of the study room was not closed tightly, and Julia did not notice it. However, Harry noticed a shadow swaying at the door, but the person outside did not step in.
Harry stared at the door of the study angrily. He was about to call Julia in when she left briskly. After that, it was quiet outside. No one disturbed Harry's work.
Downstairs, Julia asked the high-level chef who Harry hired to teach her a few dishes. "It's best if it's simple and easy to learn. I want to make something that tastes delicious and looks good." The chef said, "Mrs. Wright, just tell me what you want to eat. I'll make it."
"You can teach me. Since I have nothing to do now, I can learn. Maybe it will be useful in the future." Julia blocked the chef at the door. She had a fierce look on her face as if she would not leave unless the chef taught her something. Julia was Harry's wife. The chef had to do as she said.
Hence, Julia rolled up her sleeves and tied up her long hair. Then, she picked up a brand-new apron and tied it around her waist. She listened to the chef's instructions and did whatever she was told to do. She looked obedient and likable. However, Julia did not have much talent in cooking. The food she made was either too sweet, too salty, or too spicy and sour. Julia wanted to try it at the beginning, but later on, when she saw the results of her hard work, she did not dare to take another bite. It was not until the fourth time that the chef's furrowed brows relaxed after trying it out and gave Julia a thumbs up. Julia was able to heave a sigh of relief and tried the food as well. The chef said, "It's not bad to be able to cook like this."
Julia was still a little upset. She could not accept this dish after eating delicious food. However, this was the fourth time she had made this dish. She could not help but ask the chef, "Is the spaghetti you taught me really the simplest food one can make?" The chef nodded. Dispirited, Julia turned her gaze to her work. The tomato was a little crispy, and the spaghetti was a little burned. They did not look good, but they tasted a little better than before.
The chef said, "Mrs. Wright, if Mr. Wright knows that you've put in so much effort to learn how to cook for him, he'll definitely be very touched. No matter how bad your cooking is, he will definitely eat it."
Julia silently felt that there was something wrong with these words. It seemed to be comforting her, but it also seemed to be saying that she was not talented in cooking and should not cook
Just learning how to cook spaghetti was already so difficult. She even made the kitchen look like a battlefield. Julia tilted her neck and thought, 'Forget it, if I don't have talent, why make things difficult for myself? I won't starve even if I can't cook. Anyway, I have learned how to make spaghetti today. This can also be considered my best dish. I can practice in the future as long as I cook often. Otherwise, I will definitely forget.
Julia was dissuaded by the servants and chef. Finally, she stopped tormenting them in the kitchen and walked out to the garden to take a breath of fresh air until Harry came out of the study.

On the dining table, a plate of spaghetti was exceptionally conspicuous. The food was burned and looked out of place.

Harry stared straight at this extraordinary food. Under everyone's gaze, he picked up a mouthful and placed it in his mouth.
Harry frowned and swallowed it. Then, he took another bite. As someone who made this food, she felt that it was torture, so she quickly stopped Harry's actions. "Do you keep eating this because you can tell that I am the one who made it?" "Other than you, who else in this house can make such excellent dishes?" Harry did not intend to comfort Julia verbally. He even emphasized the word 'outstanding' to express his praise for Julia.
"Failure is the mother of success. I never wanted to give it to you to eat. They must have taken the wrong one." Julia refused to admit it. She was the one who had secretly ordered the dishes to be served. She really wanted to see Harry's expression after tasting it. In fact, she was actually looking forward to Harry praising her. After all, she was not a person who liked to cook. It was already very rare for her to be able to achieve this for the first time. She would definitely not tell Harry that this plate of food was the result of her fourth try.
"Stop eating," Julia asked the servant to take it away, but she was stopped by Harry. "It's shameful to waste food. Just leave it."
Julia still wanted to say something, but in the end, she pursed her lips and did not say anything. She angrily poked the food on her plate with her fork to vent her dissatisfaction with Harry and accuse him of being a cold and inhumane person. Harry was calm and composed. He tried all the food. Julia sneered. After taking a few bites, she began to curse Harry in her heart.
Harry said, 'I heard you swearing at me. Is it because I didn't praise you?'
"Bullshit. I'm not that boring. Besides, I'm not such a domineering and unreasonable person. If the food doesn't taste good, I'll definitely allow others to evaluate it." Julia did not pay attention to the food she made from the beginning. Harry asked, "Then why are you so focused on the food on your plate?"
Julia looked at Harry in a daze. She had always been eloquent, however, she was actually at a disadvantage in front of Harry. She could not tolerate this.
She raised her head abruptly and saw Harry's smiling eyes staring at her gently. Her heart was beating wildly like a deer. When she looked again, the failed plate of spaghetti had long been finished.
She asked, "Didn't you say it was awful?"
"Just because it tastes bad doesn't mean that it can't be eaten. Only I can accept such a dish." Harry implied that only he could eat such a dish.
Julia was not able to understand it. She did not think carefully about what Harry meant. She clicked her tongue and did not eat after taking a few bites. "Harry, why is it so hard for you to praise me?"
Julia was not stupid, but her reaction was slightly slower than others. Therefore, after a while, she knew that Harry was a very awkward person. He clearly wanted to praise her but refused to say it. In the end, he used his actions to prove it. However, this resulted in Harry suddenly having a stomachache when he was lying in bed at night. In the middle of the night, he was driven to the hospital by Julia to receive emergency treatment.
