Every forty minutes, someone passed. We decided to give a five-minute leeway , for if the next one after the first had walked slowly or faster. So thirty-five minutes if we went by the shorter time. As soon as he passed, we made our move easily, stepping onto the dark witches land. We walked further in , all of us looking around. We needed to get at least out of sight for if we were wrong about the timing. Nothing seemed out of place to begin with. I couldn’t sense anything but the dark witches. ” How do you all contact these dead witches ? ” Rhiala asked. ” We don’t need to ” Dataneye whispered. “They’re coming to us ” she finished off. We all stopped and looked around. She was looking around at the floor. That was when I noticed the leaves around us swirling around.

The energy around us shifted , the air felt a little thinner. Like it became harder to breathe all of a sudden. Whispers started to spread around us, unable to make them out clearly, but they were there , like everyone was trying to speak all at once. Talk over one another to get in what they want to stay. The wind started picking up its speed around us, so it blew our hair around us like a whip. ” You came for us ” a female voice started to stand out thicker than the rest of them , louder and stronger.

” You all hear this, right ? I’m not going mad “, Raan asked. ” Yea, brother, we all hear it ” Rhiala answered him, looking around us. “They’re here ” I whispered, feeling their energy. I could feel all of their anger and emotions. The hatred and hurt they felt like I was choking on the pain , it made my eyes swell up with tears at the betrayal they witnessed and had to live through. ” We did come here for you “, I answered the female voice. ” Why ? You can not even show us your real face. You do not think we do not sense wolf pups in your womb. We should kill you now for the audacity ” it echoed around us.

I gasped at her words. ” Her voice “, Rhiala said . Looking at her, she was looking around like a crazy person. ” Her voice ” she said again. ” Rhiala, what’s wrong ? ” Willow asked her and she shook her head. ” It can’t be , it can’t I have Tiffany ” she said sounding hollow. ” What have you come here for ? “The female voice lashed out like a whip.

” You were lied to , misled ” I rushed out. The female voice laughed ” Like you are doing . You are hiding who you are. That is you doing the same, is it not ? ” she mocked. ” I am not hiding from you , but those who you help. ” I felt crazy talking out loud to no one. ” Show yourself ” it echoed around us. I looked at Raan who was eyeing his sister , who looked like she was having a breakdown. ” I’ll show you who I am , I will. I just need you to do us a great favor and listen to us. Please give us a chance to explain “, I asked them.

” Why would we grant you that ? You are mated to one of those. Those that betrayed us. Those that killed us. You carry the spawns of one of those. You brought them here with you. We know they are waiting for you to bring them here. Just beyond the borders they wait ” she snapped angrily at us. Floundering, I changed my appearance back to me , so they could see we weren’t trying to lie, or be deceitful. ” No please , we are not trying to be a threat. We came to show you the proof. It is all here in this folder. It wasn’t the wolves’ fault , they were the compulsion of dark magic. “

I held out the folder and Rhiala shouted something we all weren’t expecting. ” Mate , that voice belongs to my mate ” she shouted. ” Rhiala, you have a mate , Tiffany ” Shira said to her, looking at her like she was crazy. ” I know I do and I know she is , but that voice is waking up my dragon and casuing it to stampped around in my mind just like seeing Tiffany for the first time did ” she gasped. ” This dead witch is my mate too , how can that be ? “she looked at all of us like we had the answers.

The folder disappeared out of my hands. ” She took the folder “. I blurted, looking at Dataneye. “They’re pulling back ” she said frantically. ” Wait please , we need to explain everything “. I begged them this was our only hope of stopping Harry and Tanya. Getting the dead witches to not attack us.

” Who are you ? ” a male voice I didn’t recognize shouted behind us. When I whipped around, my eyes landed on a dark witch. And when he saw my face, his eyes widened. ” How ? You’re in the cabin in shackles. ” He looked at the others. You could see the realisation start to take place in his mind. When Usif went to charge towards him he disappeared out of sight. ” Link Tiffany Rhiala ” Raan snapped at her bewildered state. When she didn’t move, he ran over and shook her. ” Rhiala snapped out of it , link Tiffany ” he shouted in her face. Her eyes became focused back on her brother. She looked at him and then around us and nodded.

“They’re coming , their coming. ” She nodded and took a deep steadying breath. ” We need to go get Devon and Ryken ” I snapped , now that he had gone to warn the coven. ” We need to wait for Enzo and them , we all need to stick together. The dead witches didn’t listen. We all need to be together. Incase they do attack them “, Usif said, and I knew it made sense, but waiting there and leaving Devon down there was killing me. ” Enzo has warned them Violet , Usif is right. We need to wait for the others “. Rhiala came over and grabbed my hand.

” They won’t take long to get here ” Shira assured. Every second felt like a minute. Minutes felt like an hour. We had said it would only take five minutes. But it felt way longer than that, before we heard the padding paws across the ground. When the wolves surrounded us, nothing happened. Nothing came and struck them down. I couldn’t sense anything magical about to happen around us. ” Let’s go. The longer we wait here, the longer they have had to do something to Devon and Ryken ” my heart was pounding in my chest over what could be happening right now. Antheas large wolf padded over to me and then laid flat on her belly. She turned her big head and nodded towards her back.

I got what she was saying , she wanted me to climb on. Nodding at her , I c****d my leg over her large back and mounted on to her like she was a very large horse. Anthea wasted no time , Enzo by our side as she bolted us towards the enemy , the power I could feel beneath me was outstanding. Any other time I would be relishing this adventure. Looking behind me, I saw the other wolves had let the others that couldn’t run fast on their backs too. Looking in the direction we were heading , I had to believe that no one would get hurt.That the dead witches took the file for a reason. I had hope. If they took it to read it , then they will see the truth.
