Chapter 151

Six months later . . . . .

” Violet , Violet, come quickly. ” A female wolf came rushing into the female warlock tents shouting. Looking over my shoulder , I frowned at her. ” What is wrong ? “I asked, concerned. She licked her lips and looked back out of the tent. ” It is the Luna , she needs you. The babies are coming “. My eyes widened , the doctor had said any day now. Her pups were ready and she was at full term. It is hard to state a delivery date for wolf shifters , anything between six and seven months when they can give birth. It is pretty much when the pups are ready. Antheas’ mum had birthed early with Anthea at just four months , it had been a worry Anthea had. That she would also birth early. But she hadn’t.

I looked back around at Dataneye, my eyes wide. ” Quickly help me up ” I asked her. Dataneye jumped up as well as a couple of the other girls to help me stand. My belly was huge , carrying wolf twins was not for the faint hearted , especially because I wasn’t a wolf. I went to Dataneye and the girls daily. They helped me with natural herbs and spells to keep my strength up. The babies had been draining me to the point of exhaustion , but, with their help, it made it so I could actually drag my butt out of bed. And I had managed to keep the babies in.

” Where is she ? ” I asked the girl when I was standing. ” She is in the pack house in the alpha and Luna’s bedroom. ” I nodded and started waddling my bum in that direction. I didn’t get anywhere super fast , but damn it, I was on my way. I sensed him before I saw him. My mate came running up the path towards me. I smiled when I saw him. ” They’re coming ” he said in a rushed voice. He looked freaked out. ” So I have been told , that is where I am heading now “. I laughed at his expression. Devon was good in a lot of situations. my mate was funny and adventurous , life of the party, but he can turn that s**t serious if needed , but when a female is hurting or crying he goes to crap, except with me. He has learnt to handle my crying fits , especially since being pregnant. My hormones have made me crazy at times.

” Yea , Anthea sent me to get you. She needs you there quicker ” he said, and I shook my head confused . ” She sent that other girl too. ” I told him and he nodded. ” Yep she did , but she knows you can’t move fast, so here I am. Hold on, princess ” he warned me before he came beside me and scooped me up bridal style. Then he just stood looking at me, not moving. His eyes scanned my face , before he leaned down and pecked my lips. My crazy heated hormones took over and I grabbed his neck and pulled him in, deepening the k**s. I felt my core heating up with desire and need for my mate.

But he pulled back, chuckling ” As much as your scent is sending my head spinning and I would love to carry this on , if I don’t get you to Anthea I fear she will rip my balls off “, he winces at the idea of it. I started coming out of my hazy l**t filled fog and nodded. ” Yea go quickly before I rip your clothes off ” I panted out. His eyes flashed with his wolf and I shook my head. ” No , don’t you come out to play. Anthea needs me , so you’ll have to wait “, I scolded his wolf. Devon’s eyes stopped flashing , and Devon grinned. ” He ain’t happy ” he told me , but before I could answer, he set off running easily, my weight not bothering him at all.

Within minutes we were at the pack house and he burst us through the door and up the stairs into our room we had been sharing with Anthea and Enzo. He placed me down on the floor , looking around. Enzo’s mum and Antheas’ mum were there, as well as the doctor and Enzo. When Antheas’ eyes landed on me she sighed ” There you are , s**t Violet, you took too long ” she winced , her face changed to pain as she screamed. She grabbed Enzo’s hand and squeezed it , her other hand held out towards me. Going around the bed , I slowly climbed on awkwardly because of my bump. All the sheets had been stripped off of the bed and a protective sheet had been put down along with a load of pad-type things , our pillows had been left on though .Grabbing her hand, I felt the sense of calm run through me like it always did when we were close or in contact.

The need to be close to each other hadn’t gone away , it had only intensified as the months passed. We can only manage maybe an hour or two away from each other now. ” I only left you an hour ago. What happened ? ” I asked her. She had been perfectly fine when I left after breakfast. She looked towards Enzo with a scowl on her face. ” He got me all hot and bothered in the shower , we were. “Then her eyes looked towards her mum’s and she shut up. The woman who had become my mother laughed ” Don’t be coy , we all heard what you were doing. They were having s*x when her waters broke ” she said, making Anthea blush.

” Mother really ” Enzo scolded our mum. Well, his mum , but the previous Luna had insisted I call her mum and Enzo had gone to joking that I was his second sister now. Speaking of sisters , the door burst open and Abigail walked in carrying towels , Peter behind her carrying ice in a bowl. When Peter had placed the bowl down he looked down at his sister, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck. ” Ermmm are you OK sis ? “he asked Anthea. Anthea glanced at him and rolled her eyes. ” Just peachy ” she hissed, after another bout of pain. Abigail grabbed his hand, laughing at him. ” Come on , we will wait downstairs ” she told him, and I had never seen someone look so relieved.

After they left , I made myself comfortable on the bed. I lay down and rolled onto my side so I faced her. Carefully, I placed my hand on her stomach and she turned her head to look at me gratefully . ” They were demanding you here. I kept getting this feeling of panic rushing through me ” she stopped talking to hiss , her eyes squeezing shut. ” f**k , it was different, there was an urgency to it , I kept getting images of you in labor and they hated that you weren’t near them for it ” she panted. I looked at her confused. ” But I’m not in labor “. She looked at me and shrugged ” I don’t know. Maybe they sense you are there soon ” she gritted out.

No sooner she had said it, I felt a twinge in my back that radiated around to my stomach. I turned on my back to look at Devon , who was watching Anthea with a pained look on his face. He glanced down at me just as another twinge happened and I hollered out. ” Violet ? ” he asked, worried. ” s**t , the babies bloody knew “, I told him. He shook his head. ” What , what’s happening ? Doc , is she in labor too ? ” He looked at the doctor in the room who came around to me. Just as he was about to examine me , my water broke all over the bed. ” s**t what is that ? ” Devon asked, looking down. ” That means we have two sets of twins on the way. Could someone send for a nurse and another doctor here please. These babies don’t half like to do things together ” he chuckled.

I looked at Anthea and she was smiling at me. Some may feel like their thunder was being stolen. But not me and Anthea. We were used to the fact these babies were in sync with everything they did. We were more grateful not to be doing things alone. ” We should have known we would birth together too “, she laughed. I nodded and squeezed my eyes shut as a pain shot from my bits to my stomach. ” Yea we should have ” I winced.

The next few hours were a blur of pain , and taking turns to who was screaming out in pain. Devon got his s**t together and stopped freaking out to comfort and support me. And never once did me and Anthea let go of each others hands. Anthea was the first to be ready to push. Enzo encouraged her with loving words and support. I tried my best around my own pain and even in pushing she was concerned about me.

It took seven pushes and a beautiful baby boy’s face came into view. The doctor held him up for Anthea and me to see and I loved him like he was my own straight away , he had a dark shock of hair like Enzo , and he was already alert and looking at us. ” Enzo , we have a baby ” Anthea gasped. It felt like an intimate moment we were intruding on when Enzo leaned down and kissed her softly. Only to be ruined by me screaming in pain. “The first baby is arriving here “, the doctor at my side announced. ” Time to push Violet ” he encouraged. I shook my head ” I don’t want to , I just witnessed what pushing means ” I said, freaking out. Anthea had looked like she was being tortured.

” Violet , you can do that. Look at that baby boy, look at what we get when it’s over. I’m so proud of you “, Devon whispered to me. I looked at the baby that was being snuggled in a blanket and being handed to Antheas’ mum. She brought him close to Anthea and Enzo to look at him, but Anthea still had a job to do , so she didn’t want to risk holding him herself just yet. A pain came over me and the doctor ordered me to push. ” Come on Violet , we are all here , I’m here “, Anthea encouraged. Placing my chin on my chest, I had no choice but to push my body’s own reaction to what was happening. Eleven long pushes until I heard the cry of my first baby being born. ” We have another boy “, the doctor smiled. And when he held up our son , my heart grew in size. A blonde-haired little boy came into my view and he was the most perfect little thing I had ever seen. ” You did it , we have a son ” Devon whispered, looking at the boy in the doctors hands.

Our little boy was handed to my chosen mother who was sobbing happy tears as her and Antheas’ mum stood side by side so they could see both babies. The next round, me and Anthea were both pushing together. After all of this, I am sure we would both need the hands that we were clasping checked out , because we were both squeezing each other as we pushed. I wouldn’t be surprised if we had broken each others hand. Our baby girls came into the world just seconds apart , and when they were held up I couldn’t contain my tears. Antheas was a blonde-haired little girl and mine was dark-haired , like the boys. They were exact opposites. The girls were placed in their fathers’ arms and I swear I saw both men then and there melt , and those girls would have them both wrapped around their little fingers.

“Congratulations , they are all healthy and they all have the same birthday ” the doctor beamed. Both me and Anthea started laughing. I looked at her and she looked a sweaty, exhausted mess but she was beaming. I bet I looked just the same. ” It couldn’t have been any other way ” Anthea said. I felt tears sting my eyes at the love that I felt. ” No it couldn’t have been “, I agreed. When the doctors had cleaned us up , our babies were placed into our arms. Enzo and Devon both got onto the bed at the side of us. My arms were as full as my heart was . ” Smile ” the previous Luna said we all looked up and saw she had a camera , all of us smiled capturing this perfect moment.
