“You said you have been keeping tabs on these warlocks “, I aimed at Rion. He nods ” Yea , but it’s not as simple as where they are. They can be one place one minute and then somewhere else the next. We have a witch back home that tracks them. She keeps an eye on them and she will alert us if they are even seen getting near. I knew where they were when I left. Now they could have moved. We will need to speak with her ” he replied. Shrugging, I looked at the phone on the table infront of him. ” Well, call her then “. I didn’t like the guy , even more so after the way I saw him check Anthea out. But he wasn’t going anywhere , we needed him here to help us. And he needed to get to know Anthea so he could reject his a*s. But the fight had made the urge to rip the guy’s heart out depleat a little.

” That can’t happen , the island blocks all signals getting in or out. We don’t have the internet or phones , we only have these for when we leave the island. To look the part , or contact anyone else off of the island ” , that was the most idiotic thing I had heard. “Didn’t someone send you a message the other day regarding the birth of an infant ? ” I asked him confused.

He glances at Violet , she nods her head once and he sighs. ” That was though Violet and the witch back home. They share a connection , they can pass messages through each other. Plus, Violet can see the future , some of it anyway. Clips here and there ” he explained to me. But Devon just heard one thing: ” A connection ? Like what sort of connection ? ” he sounded jealous to everyone’s ears. Violet looks at him and smiles ” No need to worry , just a magical one. We link up with each other. When I go back, we will sever that link ” he nodded at her like that was exactly what he needed to hear.

” So what do you suggest we do in order to get these guys ? ” Peter butted in. And I was glad there was another person here that just wanted to get to the facts. My dad seemed to be sitting unusually quiet along with my mum. “First you all need to know what we are dealing with , going in unprepared will just end up in a disaster. So I suggest , much to how risky this is . We will take you to the island , to where all our journals are. I can tell you everything I know , but we need the help of our people too. And I think you would just overlook what I was saying too “, he looked directly at me.

I raised an eyebrow at his dig. ” Also, this way , Anthea gets to see her choices before she makes it. That’s what you were fighting me for earlier, right ? For Anthea , for her right to choose ? I have no doubt she won’t come unless you’re there too, along with her brother, and Violet wants to show Devon his choices too. ” Devon looked at him weirdly and then looked at Violet. ” You want me to leave my pack ?” he asked her.

” No . But we both have a say about this. I have seen your home. I would like you to see mine before we have a conversation about where we live. Or at least where we will go visit often. I like being away from the island , but they are still my people. I will still need to go back regularly ” she explained. He seemed to relax a bit and nodded. So , not only could I loose my mate , but my brother as well. After all of this , f*****g peachy.

Looking down at Anthea , who had put herself at my side, secretly made me happy. I asked her ” Do you want to go ?” She nodded , ” yea I think so , but first I think your right. I think we need to tell the pack what or who I am. If you say this turns ugly and we need them. Then they should know why they are ordered into a battle, right ? Plus, if it goes wrong and they refuse to fight or accept me , I will know if I will be welcome back here, right ? Rion says having me somewhere is a risk. Hunters come. They may not need to fight just once , not that I want them to fight at all. I may need to go Enzo , to protect everyone. The people here hate me enough already without some of their loved ones maybe dying or getting injured because of me “.

It stung to hear that she felt in such a way. I looked at my father and he looked down right hurt too. Her feelings were validated though , I couldn’t just shrug them off. As I turned my head back towards Anthea , I saw Rion looking at me expectantly. He was watching how I would answer this. ” Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that. I hope that once the pack sees how we all see you they will rethink their actions towards you. If not, I’ll run from this pack with you ” her face softened. It’s exactly what I would have said , but Rion’s disappointed face just added the cherry on top of the cake.

” So how long will you all be gone? ” Abigail said, sounding distressed. She was looking at Peter. ” You can go with them, Abigail , as long as I have the word from Rion that my daughter is not about to come into any harm. That you don’t go off fighting these warlocks before you come back here. That your pack is a safe pack “. My father stared down Rion. I had been at the end of that stare many times. It was like it reached into your very brain and pulled out all the information it needed without you having to utter a word.

” They wouldn’t come to any harm in our pack, they are all really accepting and believe in peace. This little trip will just be so we can all be on the same page when it comes to what we are up against here”, my father stands up from the table and smiles. ” Then have a safe trip , Anthea when do you want to announce who you truly are to the pack ?” he looked down at Anthea and she froze.

” We will all be with you to explain this, Anthea , but obviously we can not tell them who we actually are. We can say we are from the council or that we are gifted too, stand by your side and make them see you are not alone ” Rion chirpped up. She flashed that same grateful smile towards him. ” I want to leave as soon as possible , get this thing on the road as they say. So if you can arrange it then tonight, Alpha, please, we will leave by morning. So if you can arrange that, Rion , I’ll be grateful “. She scraped her chair back from the table and walked off upstairs , her gait confident. We all watched her go and I think we were all as gobsmacked as she actually wanted to do this. ” Is it me or does she keep having these blurts of authority and confidence ? “Peter asked, looking confused.

” It’s Sianna inside of her , she is starting to talk and move just like her ” Violet interjected, smiling. I shook my head , a small smile playing on my lips ” No , that Anthea is finally coming out of her shell. I saw this side of her in the cave , when she gets used to the idea of something damn that girl flips some sort of switch and she owns it “.

” Bro , did you just refer to my sister being good at s*x because I swear I’m going to throw up, ” I laughed as he got up and marched off from the table. Devon laughed along with me. The only one not laughing was him. I guess the idea of me and her banging wasn’t so appealing to him. Throwing him a wink , I followed her upstairs just to make sure she wasn’t freaking out up there. Leaving the pack felt some sort of exciting . But I was nervous we would go to this secret island and she would love it so much she wouldn’t want to come back. If she didn’t then I guess I wouldn’t be coming back either , unless she ordered me away, that is.
