” Who the f**k was that ?” I snapped. Looking around the room like there was still a threat somewhere. ” That would have been one of the twins. Look, the other one is here “, Shira said, pointing at the girl that was on the floor that had been hovering in the air. Moving over, I looked down and she was right , it was the spit image. ” Violet ” Rion said and went rushing across the room . He scooped Violet off of the floor and sat her up. She looked to be passed out. I could hear her heart from here, so I knew she wasn’t dead. ” Mate “, Devon whispered. I looked at him and he was staring down at Violet in Rion’s arms. Anthea looked at him confused, the bond had just snapped out there in the hall. He had managed to gasp it out through the pain. Anthea went up to him and placed her hand on his shoulder. ” I know it will be hurting Devon , but she was never your mate ” she tried to reason, and he shook his head no.

” No , she is. She’s my mate ” he said , looking just as confused as the rest of us. ” Did the bond mate link still stay in place , I mean they did mark one another. Maybe that is it ? ” Anthea asks. I was about to agree with her but Devon growled. Making Anthea step back a little. ” No she is my fated mate , guys, I’m back. I remember everything that I did. Well, not me but them. f**k , I remember and it’s me. When she broke whatever she did , she broke everything. And she’s my fated mate ” he says, pointing to Violet. Who started to stir in her brother’s arms. She starts to blink, her eyes open , and looks around the room. When her eyes land on Devon, a big smile spreads across her lips. ” Thank god ” she sighs. Devon goes to her and bends down on one knee in front of her.

” I have been trying to over rule her since the day I first saw you. I had been ” She took in a deep breath , she seemed a little winded and tired. She licks her lips and looks up at Rion. ” Drink , please ” she whispers. ” Here ” Shira says and hands them a glass she must have magicked up. Violet drinks and then sighs and says thanks to Shira. She then looks back at my friend. ” That day she spelled you to be her mate , and then you both marked the other. It stirred me back awake after a long time of being practically dead inside of her. I had tried for years to break the spell , cast her out of me with nothing. So I had given in , it was like being in a room inside of myself and I chose to stay in that room. I let her have full control of me. I had given up. But I felt all this strength coming from nowhere, so I stepped out to see what was happening, and I saw you. I knew instantly you were my mate , and I got caught up and realized Sianna was back. When she died, the last time that was when I gave in. I had my mate and Sianna was here who could help save me. So I have been fighting her since that day. Ironic that she would spell you as her fake mate , when you are my actual mate ” she smiles at him.

” So she has gone , and she delivered on her promise. You are all back to who you are meant to be ? ” Samuel questioned. ” Yep, all back ” Willows’ voice sounded. We had been too busy looking at Violet. We hadn’t seen her waking. She was looking groggy and unstable. Ryken stepped forward and Willow looked up , smiling at him sadly. Ryken was looking at her sadly too. ” I am sorry that evil b***h tricked you into thinking we are mates “, Willow said to him. Ryken shakes his head and laughs softly. ” Do not be sorry for another one’s actions ” he tells her, then looks at me. ” I do wish to stay and help though , I remember everything. Everything she ever said in front of me when I was under her spell. I can help “I nodded at him as a thanks and agreement.

“Who are all of these ? ” Lorna asked. ” They are the female warlocks. Yianna has basically drained all of their magic from them. As well as her sister and took it to fight you all with. She has trust issues massively. She always criticised Firya for needing their dad’s approval. But she was actually worse. From what I can gather, she is just like him ; power and respect hungry. But he didn’t know that could potentially mean his sister being ripped from us. Shira changed the subject. ” Let’s discuss this back where we all feel safe, huh ? She doesn’t know where it is and we need protection. Plus, there are all of these bodies just left here and they still look weirdly alive. So I vote we go to your pack and figure this out there. ” She looks at me , and I could have f*****g kissed her. Going back to the pack was definitely the best idea. The magic was protected. There was no way she could get it. She knows the island , and the pack was full of people that would fight for us.

” We need to take these with us , study them . And maybe use them in some way “, Shira pointed at the bodies. That I wasn’t so keen on , but hey, if it will help, then sure. “What about the people on the island ? “Anthea asks. Rion stands uo and clears his throat. ” I know I am not really trusted , or wasn’t. But I can vouch for all of those people. They left them alone , it was there cover. Acting as the savior. They only had some of the council under compulsion. The rest they needed to still play the part too. So , I am asking you please consider bringing them with us to your pack “. He looked at me , and it was the first time I looked at Rion and saw a real genuine person.

I nodded , ” I will speak with my father , the last thing we need is her making toys of them “. We decided to move to the island first. Anthea , Shira , Violet and Willow are all linked to get enough power to move such a huge crowd. But when we got there , the place looked trashed. Fires blazed in houses and some bodies lay lifeless on the floor. When we appeared, the family with the newborn baby was cradled together on the floor crying. When they saw us, their heads snapped up and they cried in relief. Others came running towards us from different paths. Rion ran to them. “What happened ? ” he asked. The male stood ” A female , she came. She started setting our houses on fire with a flick of her wrists and anyone who tried to fight her ended up dead. She told us to stay still and we would be spared. All she wanted was to prove she meant her word. She said to tell you the next time she wouldn’t spare anyone before she left “, he rushed out.

f**k , Anthea looked horrified around us. The once beautiful scenery of this place was in ruins. Black smoke plagued the sky and the cracking of things burning and collapsing could be heard. ” Get everyone alive together , your coming home with us to our pack ” Anthea told them. Bending down to soothe the sobbing mother. She said she never wanted to be Luna, but in actual fact she would make a perfect Luna. We moved quickly, not knowing if she would come back. My father’s shocked face when we kept turning up in small groups was a picture. I went with the first group. Anthea, not to my liking, had to be with the last group. To get this many they needed all the magic they could get and they had to do it in groups. The only reason I came first was so I could explain why a bunch of half-dead stone bodies and strangers were showing up on our pack lands. In total, seven had tried to stand up to her, torching their lives and losing their own. The others had taken her threat as it was , and didn’t engage. I was still explaining to my dad what was happening when Anthea landed with the last group. I had never been so f*****g relieved , but I knew I had to trust her more. We were partners and equals.
