“Harder , please harder, Enzo. ” I gasped. One whole day after we got back , Ryken hadn’t returned and there was no sign of Yianna. I was pressed against the shower screen of one of the pack members’ bathroom. I could let us in and out of that bubble , but doing it dropped the whole protection spell. It was risky , dropping it all of the time. It could take literally seconds for her to turn up and get in there. It was weird , like we were at a stale mate. In limbo just hanging there.

The screen got misty as my hot breath blew across the shower screen. Enzo was behind me, one hand reached round and gripped my breast, the other was on my shoulder, keeping me in place. His thrust got deeper. ” More ” I asked. I needed to feel him, I needed him , I knew our bond was strong, but with everything going on, I don’t know, I just felt a little disconnected from him. And now we had a second , to actually stop. Because there was literally nothing else left to do now besides wait. I had this burning desire for him, like I was in heat.

I had one arm wrapped around his neck , the other I reached up with also so we could both move. Humans would see his face and think of it as feral and something out of a horror movie. I felt Sianna rise to Hunters call , we couldn’t shift in here. But our wolves wanted in on this action too. They had been depraved just as we had. I felt my vision change, so I knew my eyes were yellow now too. I felt the slight ache in my gum as my teeth did the same as his. The castle came down. But I couldn’t replace any remains of Yianna. What I did replace was a blanket completely unburned against the rest of the ash. My dragon could sense magic on the blanket. My dragon thinks she used it to shield her against the flames , and when the walls came down, the seal you guys out in the room came down with it” he looked at us apologetic.

Enzo touched his arm. ” It was my call to leave her there , we have made preparations here. Now we know she is still breathing, we know she won’t be long before she makes a move “. Ryken nodded , he looked around and when he spotted Willow coming towards us I saw him relax a little. It was clear those two were not mates , but they had created a bond. Even if it was a friendly one. Willow looked equally happy to see him. She came over and threw her arms around him. And when they broke apart , Ryken looked back at Enzo.

” On my way back, I called back home to visit my thunder “. Willow looked at him confused. Ryken laughed ” It is our terminology of a pack or a coven” when she looks apologetic, he shakes his head. ” It is OK , there are so few dragons left now, most think we are just a myth. I haven’t seen them since Firya f****d with my mind. I went home to let them know what was happening , and that I was OK. There is my triplet brother , my triplet sister and then four more of us left from our thunder. And our home, now that they know what happened to me, isn’t safe. People seek dragons out as trophies. It is where the rest of us went. Anyway , they want to help. They believed me dead too. We don’t always stick together. Dragons like solitude and sticking together all of the time can be a danger too, easier to replace. But when I hadn’t checked in, they assumed the worst. They have followed me here , but they are waiting. I told them they could help as long as it is OK with the two of you “, he looked at me and Enzo. “And your father , what we are doing her is a risk. ” My father is OK with it ” Enzo told him. He looked at me and I nodded. Then he held his hand out to Ryken. ” We would be honoured for the help, and humbled you chose to take such a risk to help us. ” Ryken nodded and the two of them smiled at each other. You could see the respect they had for one another. Ryken laughed ” Hold onto your socks, your in for a treat ” he said, looking up. A couple of minutes later, six dragons came through the cloud banks and circled the pack lands. Everyone, and I mean everyone, stopped and looked up in wonder and the magnificent creatures circled above us. I moved closer to Enzo and grabbed his hand tightly. One by one they dropped , and changed into their human form. A male that Ryken introduced as Dikon , a female named Tilly- Anne , another male, Jikra , another male, Issac , then another female he said was his sister Rhiala, who resembled Ryken. But the female version and last but not least, the spitting image of Ryken walked towards us. Ryken said his name was Raan. But his eyes didn’t glance at us , not once they stared at Willow , with a heat and hunger that made me feel breathless. ” Mate ” he growled when he got in front of her. She looked terrified, excited and nervous all rolled up into one. Her eyes wide , I could hear her heart beating from here. ” s**t ” she whispered , Ryken laughed. ” I guess that is why I felt the need to protect her even after the spell was broken “. Raan looked at his brother , eyes narrowed. ” This is Willow , the female you were spelled to believe you were mated with ” Ryken nodded. Raan didn’t look impressed by the fact. He looked back at Willow. ” I may look like my brother , you may have laid with my brother, you also may have feelings for him. But I assure you , that you are mine and I am not him. Do you understand that sweet jewel ” she nodded her head, looking like a deer in the headlights. ” Yes , yes I understand, ” his grin became predatory as he bent down and scooped her up, wrapping her legs around his waist as he walked off. ” I have waited the longest time to replace my most precious piece of treasure I will ever hold ” I heard him say. When they were gone out of sight, Ryken and Rhiala laughed. As well as the other dragons, Rhiala stepped forward with her hand out. ” I am pleased to meet you , and I apologise for my brother. He is the least cordial out of all of us. He has no filter and no f***s to give. But he will properly introduce himself after he has eradicated the memory of Ryken out of her mind. It is not the first time they have shared a woman, but I have a feeling that he isn’t sitting so well with this one , seen as she is his mate “, she shrugs. I laughed and took her hand. She seemed like she had no filter either. ” Nice to meet you , and thank you for coming ” I told her. ” If the boss man actually likes someone enough to come out of hiding, then we follow him. He never lets us out to play” she smiled.

” Boss man ? “Enzo asked, sounding amused. She nodded and looked at her brother confused and back at us. ” Yes , Ryken here is king of the dragons. Me and my brothers were born by Drgaon royalty. He is the oldest, so he took our father’s place and he has been keeping us safe since the rest of our thunder was murdered ” Enzo looked at Ryken in shock. Ryken shrugged ” My sister also likes people to know she’s a princess , but it is not something we usually divulge. I don’t address myself that way. There are so few of us left that titles don’t really matter anymore ” he shrugged. ” Well, let’s go introduce you all to the rest “, I offered with a smile and went and introduced myself to the others.
