Chapter 888 It's Absurd of Rachel

"I know what's on your mind. You don't intend to hurt anyone. I am not here to ask you to hurt Gloria. It's just that I don't want them to remarry. If I can't be with him, I hope you are his companion for life rather than Gloria, that scheming woman. Do you know she doesn't truly love Jordy? She has motives of her own."

Angela paused deliberately, which aroused Rachel's curiosity.

She stared at Angela, waiting for Angela's further speech.

Angela sighed resignedly. "Gloria has her motives to get close to Jordy. Do you know why I turned myself against her and why I made them get divorced?"

Rachel frowned a little bit and asked with a calm expression, "Why?"

Angela sneered. "When Gloria's father was alive, they chatted in the room and I overheard the conversation between them."

There was a slightly surprised look on Rachel's face. She stared at Angela without saying anything.

Angela let out a snort of laughter. "To be honest with you, they are up to no good. Gloria and her father have been conspiring about what to do with Jordy since Gloria got married to Jordy. They seem like a nice couple and the reports describe them as a fine example of a happy marriage. But in fact, it was Gloria's father that procured the marriage of Gloria and Jordy, and Jordy was reluctant to marry Gloria. You can use your connections to look into it. By then, you'll know if I tell the truth."

Rachel was taken aback and incredulous of the truth of Angela's story.

She read reports about Gloria and Jordy to know something about them, but those reports had never said such a dramatic thing about them.

Thus, she found it hard to believe.

Rachel just stared at Angela silently. It seemed like she was a good listener and encouraged Angela to talk.

She was curious about what Angela would say regardless of its authenticity.

Angela, for sure, knew what Rachel was thinking. She spoke again with hate in her eyes, "Gloria and I knew Jordy at the same time. I have loved Jordy for many years, but he never has a crush on me. He just felt he owed a lot to me because I once saved him. I thought I could make him gradually fall for me, but..."

"As I came into increased contact with them, I realized his attitude towards Gloria. You can distrust me, but I will help you wholeheartedly. I will never allow Gloria to hurt Jordy, or achieve her final goal!" Rachel knitted her brows and could not refrain from asking, "What's her final goal?"

Rachel had not intended to ask this question because she disliked being tantalized by Angela. But Angela chose not to speak further as if she was waiting for Rachel's question.

A gleam of smugness flashed into Angela's eyes. She knew that Rachel was not as calm as she looked.

If Rachel was a good person, the mastermind behind everything would not have asked her to come to Rachel.

The next second, Angela said softly, "Miss Roberts, I think you have heard recent news spreading online."

"There's no evidence to prove it to be true," answered Rachel calmly.

There was an ironic look in Angela's eyes. It was absurd of Rachel to replace a good reason before doing something bad.

So, if she wanted to make Rachel go against Gloria, she had to present evidence.
