Chapter 263

At Ebb & Flow, around 10 PM on a Saturday night, the crowd was noticeably larger than during weekdays. Songs being sung, drinks enjoyed.

As usual, Truman came by to take a look around on a weekend night. He glanced at a man drinking alone in a booth far away, thoughtfully touching his chin. He picked up a freshly made cocktail and walked over.

He approached the man drinking alone and said, "Jason, why are you here drinking by yourself? Want some company?"

Jason glanced at Truman and gave a slight nod in acknowledgment, but didn't speak and continued with another glass of whiskey.

Seeing this, Truman shrugged. "Alright then! Go on and have fun. That's a strong drink. Don't drink too much. Here's this one for you, I won't bother you anymore!" After saying that, he put down the prepared cocktail and turned back to the bar. Once he returned to the bar, he quickly took out her phone, snapped a picture of Jason, opened Xenia's chat on WhatsApp, and sent it to her. After sending it, he walked to a quiet spot and called her.

After ringing for several seconds, Xenia finally picked up, "Hey, Truman, what is it? I'm in a creative flow, so if it's important, please hurry, I need to keep going."

Truman cleared his throat a couple of times. "Xenia, did you add Jason on WhatsApp with the contact card I gave you time?"

"No, I'm too shy to make the first move!" Xenia answered honestly.

"He's at the bar now. It's a perfect chance. Do you want it or not? Hurry up if you do," Truman said promptly after hearing Xenia's response.

"What? What do you mean by that? Is your age affecting you? What kind of chance is it?" Xenia asked, her curiosity piqued. Truman glanced back at the booth. "Jason's here, drinking alone. Something seems off with him. Are you coming or not?" "Really? Is it even a good idea? If I just show up out of nowhere, he might think I'm an easy woman who hangs out in bars a lot. Not appropriate at all," Xenia thought to herself, feeling conflicted.

Truman sighed, "Not at all, Xenia, where's that usual energy of yours? Aren't you usually giving me a hard time? Why'd you suddenly back down?"

On the other end of the line, Xenia chuckled, "Well, it's different

Truman rolled his eyes helplessly. "Fine, whatever you decide. I'm offering you this chance, take it or leave it," With that, he hung up..

Xenia looked at the disconnected call, anxiously biting her fingernail and pacing around her room. "So, what's it going to be? Are you going or not? "Why did you suddenly get so scared, Xenia? Ugh."

She downed two glasses of cold water, scratched her head, and headed into her room.

Half an hour later, Truman was casually munching on snacks at the bar and noticed a figure walking in from outside. He chuckled, "Hmph, as if I don't know you!" He said

..nis, brushed the snack crumbs off his hands, and walked towards Xenia.

Ever since Xenia dropped her punk look, she'd been looking more and more like a lady. In a simple dress with a knit cardigan, she looked fresh and neat like the girl next door. She walked in, glancing around. 09:05 Fri, Dec 13

Truman walked over and patted her on the shoulder. "Xenia."

Xenia jumped. "Truman, are you

Truman chuckled, "Hey, you little ingrate, coming straight to the point without even saying hi to me. Look, he's over there!" He pointed towards the booth ahead to the right.

Jason sat there all by himself, sipping drink after drink, lost in thought.

Seeing him, Xenia's courage deflated instantly. "Truman, do you think he's nursing a broken heart or did his confession get rejected, and now he's here drinking away his sorrows? Going up to him just feels like I'm throwing myself at him." Truman clicked his tongue. "Relax, I'm not just hanging around in Betrico for nothing, you know? I have enough connections with paparazzi and private detectives. Jason's single never been in a relationship. Go for it without worries!" Xenia giggled, "Really? Then we're a perfect match. I've never dated anyone before either. Thanks, Truman, you're truly the best! I promise to take good care of you! Alright, I'm going for it now!"

Truman nodded. "Yeah, go ahead!"

Xenia took a deep breath to steady her nerves. "Okay, I'll talk to him, while he's a bit tipsy," With that, she began to walk towards Jason.

Truman watched her from behind as she walked away, and sighed, "I'm such a good uncle. Not to mention, seeing Xenia go after love like this makes me a bit hesitant to let her go!" SEND GIFT
