"Yes," Timothy replied, taking the clothes. Just then, Polly approached with another gift box. "Ms. Sophie, there's one more."

"Another one?" Sophie opened the box to reveal a long black chiffon dress.

"It's mine! It's mine!" Sandy exclaimed, dashing down the stairs.

Seeing the haute couture black chiffon dress, Sandy was thrilled. "This is called the 'Black Chiffon Galaxy.' I didn't expect this brand to have such good taste."

Sandy tried it on and admired herself in the mirror, completely satisfied. Sophie then realized they were also planning to include Sandy in the scheme.

Upstairs, Odie emerged from the study and saw Sandy excitedly examining her dress. He glanced at Sophie standing nearby and said, "What's wrong? Jealous that someone else has a couture dress?" "Mr. Odie, you might want to take a closer look. My dress is already being ironed."

Odie frowned upon hearing that Sophie also had an evening gown. He turned to Jonah and lowered his voice, "Why didn't you tell me she was going, too?"

"I thought you wouldn't care," Jonah replied.

"You..." Odie pointed at Jonah, seething. "You have no idea what this dinner means..."

"Ms. Sophie is going, and Colby agreed to it," Jonah interrupted.

Odie initially wanted to vent his frustration on Sophie, but seeing Timothy quietly ironing clothes downstairs, he decided against it. He went downstairs and said to Sophie with a neutral expression, "Come with me." "What for?"

"A walk in the garden."

Sandy, engrossed in her new dress, looked up to replace Sophie gone. "Weird, she was just here. Where did she go?"

She turned to Polly. "Hey, where did Sophie go?"

"Ms. Sophie went out with the boss," Polly replied.

"For what?"

"They said they were going for a walk in the garden."

"A walk in the garden?" Sandy was puzzled. What's so interesting about the garden?

In the Mintons' garden, Odie led Sophie to a secluded spot and stopped. Sophie followed suit and asked, "Mr. Odie, what's this about?"

Odie turned around and poked

Sophie's forehead. "Sophie, what do

you have in that head of yours, paste? Can't you see there's something fishy about this dinner? You were smart enough when you schemed against me. How come you're so clueless now?"

After his outburst, Sophie stared at him for a moment. "Mr. Odie... are you done?"

Seeing her bewildered expression, Odie exhaled deeply and calmed down a bit. "I'm done. Now, give me an explanation." "Well... I was hoping to borrow some manpower from you."

Odie's anger spiked again. "I'm

asking for an explanation, and you're asking to borrow manpower? Do you think I'm an ATM? Only withdrawals, no deposits?"

"Mr. Odie, calm down. Of course, I know there's something off about this dinner. I'm going, but it's for the bigger picture. You know what they say, 'No risk, no reward."

"Spare me the clichés!"

Seeing Odie still upset, Sophie played it cool. "So, are you going to lend me the help or not?"
