"Not as much as Ms. Reeves. If she hadn't handed me the agreement back then, we wouldn't be in this mess now." "What?!"

Hearing Sophie's words, Bea immediately turned to Elodie beside her, fuming. "Was it you who gave Sophie James's share transfer agreement? You fool!"

Bea lunged at Elodie, but Griffin swiftly entered the room, blocking Bea's arm.

Elodie, looking down at Bea, said, "Bea, I currently hold ten percent of Burke International's shares. If you try to lay a hand on me here, think twice."

"You ungrateful wretch! If I hadn't transferred that ten percent to you, would you even have the right to stand in Burke International's conference room? You backstabber!"

Elodie coldly replied, "Griffin, please escort Bea out. Burke International has no place for her anymore. Send her back to the Burke family to live out her days in peace, and keep her from causing trouble." "Yes, ma'am."

With that, Griffin grabbed Bea and started leading her out of the conference room.

Elodie turned to Sophie, saying, "Ms. Sophie, that was a clever move, giving away forty-five percent of the shares. I admit defeat this time, but don't get too comfortable. Odie isn't an easy opponent, and trusting people too much isn't always wise."

After finishing, Elodie turned to leave, but Timothy blocked her way. Sophie stepped forward, smiling. "Ms. Reeves, we still have unfinished business."

Elodie frowned, and Sophie whispered in her ear, "The information about Timothy was sent to Griffin, right?"

Elodie glanced at Sophie, saying, "Ms. Sophie, I don't know what you're talking about. What information? And who's Timothy? Never heard of him."

"Ms. Reeves, the night you came to

Summerfield to replace me, you mentioned that getting the share agreement wasn't necessarily a good thing, Timothy was already waiting at the café entrance, which means someone leaked our meeting location to him, allowing him to mess with my car. And the most direct evidence is that today, you knew someone would steal my share agreement and deliver it to you. Was it Griffin who promised this, or someone behind him?"

Sophie's logic was clear as she continued, "The most interesting part is, the person behind this doesn't want me to get Burke International's shares but seems quite supportive of you getting them. If it's not because you're working for him, I can't think of any other reason."

"Ms. Sophie, you have quite the imagination. I really don't know what you're talking about."

Elodie seriously looked at Sophie, then said, "If there's nothing else, I'll be going. Ms. Sophie, after today... take care."

Elodie then left the conference

room. Sophie glanced around the

room, her eyes finally landing on

Colt. She calmly said, "Colt, the press

conference to announce Elodie's dismissal as CEO of Burke

ve

International is scheduled for today. You're a long-standing employee of Burke International. This task falls to you. Any objections?"
